<Snipped quote by Artifact>
A number of things. But I’m hoping, given the nature of it, that I’ll see Revellyn here. With my own eyes.
Where do you plan to look first? Or do you know where to look first?

<Snipped quote by Valiance>
Where do you plan to look first? Or do you know where to look first?
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
That's really the main theme of the book. If you choose to pursue "perfect" over "good enough," you may very well lose it all.
*Scootches closer to the fire*
After all, reality doesn't care about your perfect.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
*As soon as you make contact, a burst of necrotic energy erupts from the metal's depths, which tugs at your lifeforce and threatens to pull you into its embrace*
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
*Turns toward the larger, busier town*
Home. Going home should answer everything.

Shinji:
*halfheartely chuckles at the comment*
Trust me, I understand that one.... a little too well.
<Snipped quote by Host>
*my eye emits a black, sludgy aura, a symbol carved into it. The aura eliminates any magic qualities of the energy*
You're quite the unique fighter. Allow me to meet that quality in kind.
*you find that the air around us has heated immensely over the course of a few seconds, to the point of setting any foreign body upon my person ablaze*
*my fist, now superheated, thrusts upward through you in a slicign motion*
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
*Follows*
The way you said that is a little disconcerting.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
I'd be curious to hear what you think about the book. Is he a bad father, or did he just do as much as he could?
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
There is a reason. Things out of place are most notable where I am most familiar.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
Shinji:
The reality of the matter... from the prospective I have based on what info I have on it, is that survival comes before trivial things. You cant afford to cater to trivial things if you dont have what ypu need to live. However... regardless of survival, there are consequences to each and every action. So in a way, though the father may have saved the son's life by providing the food, the son doesnt necessarily have to forgive the father for killing his friend. Life is... a very complicated and difficult beast to master... I'd venture to say no one has.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
*Pushes down onto your fist with my armored hand and follows with a hook into your jaw*
You may regret disabling magic here.
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
Your hunch is that it's not real.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
Because survival is more important. Even if the son wanted to keep his friend, even if he's angry, he still ate with the rest of the family because it was his only way to survive. When life is on the line, nothing else matters.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
Shinji:
Survival is the most important thing, yes. But that doesnt mean the father's actions don't come with consequences. My advice? The father shpuldve done a bit more fishing and hunting during the active season. He couldve avoided that situation as a whole.
<Snipped quote by Host>
*the hook grates against my hardened jaw like steel on steel, rather than going through it like flesh*
Maybe, but I wont regret killing you.
*unleashes a superheated ion blast into your face*
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
It’s the only logical conclusion, don’t you think?
*Starts walking down the hill toward town*
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
How long do you prepare for a winter you don’t know is coming?
<Snipped quote by Valiance>
Faking it to this level sounds nearly as difficult.
<Snipped quote by Artifact>
The type of people we deal with on the regular? Difficulty is never an obstacle. They just need a motivation. And Revellyn has it.
