It was time yet again for another annual Super Smash Bros tournament in the city world known as Brawltropolis. Aptly named due to it being the location for the Super Smash Brothers Tournaments in the past, the city has various districts with hotels that fighters stay at for the duration of the tournament with them usually reporting to the stadium early in the morning as was tradition for the tournaments. However, this time ended up being a little different when it came to the worlds that the fighters were originally from. When they left this time around for 2030’s Super Smash Brothers tournament, a mysterious force ended up destroying the worlds that each fighter was from which as a result, had left them stranded in Brawltropolis.
While the fighters didn’t notice this, the tournament proceeded as normal up until the point where a mysterious force interrupted the match between two of the fighters. While none of the spectators knew exactly what had disrupted the match, they soon ended up noticing that some parts of Brawltropolis were fading into nothingness which seemed to be rather slow at first but gradually picked up as the destruction spread further until it reached the stadium at which point, the inhabitants there seemingly disappeared in a flash of light and reappeared somewhere else.
That somewhere else was known as World B, a world previously fueled by conflict however, following the destruction of countless worlds, had become a safe haven for the Warriors of Spiritus and Materia who had been previously summoned to the world to participate in the cycles of war. However, following the destruction of their home worlds, they had been sent to World B where they eventually built two villages that had some tension between them although they were quick to notice the newcomers which had appeared due to various summoning circles that were placed in the two towns although shortly after the arrival of the fighters, both groups were made aware of the presence of dark duplicates of themselves that threatened the inhabitants of the world. It was due to this new threat that some realized the gravity of the situation and tried to get both heroes and villains to cooperate. Will they succeed in doing so or would they fall and be imprisoned by the dark forces?
Extra Lore
Formerly mindless automatons created from living crystal that have failed to take on memories, many of the manikins look like warriors who were previously summoned to World B during the cycles of war. While the collapse of other worlds aside from World B has ended up resulting in memories of the deceased inhabitants of other worlds flooding into World B, it seems to include memories of alternate versions of several warriors which were enough memories to give a large majority of the manikins some semblance of a will even if that semblance is only a small ember. Many of them seem to be rather skittish around the newcomers and dark forces and have been reported to flee on sight depending on the individual.
However, there are special variants of manikins that were brought on by experimentation with this variant being referred to as the Cosmos Manikins. While they were created by giving some of the manikins found in World B artificial memories that acted as a seed, those memories also seemed to end up being the basis of their wills as is the same as all the other manikins. They are recognizable through the fact that they have a marking that resembles a crystal located somewhere on their neck, back, hands, or arms. This marking appears to be slightly different depending on the individual but overall, generally appear to share the same crystal motif.
Newcomers are a term for Smash Tournament fighters who are new to the Smash Bros tournament or who are under the mentorship of a veteran fighter in the hopes of being chosen. While a new group of newcomers enters the tournament every single year, they are still a rather welcome sight in the city of Brawltropolis.
For reference, a newcomer is any character that has yet to appear as a fighter in Super Smash Bros as of the final DLC character release for Ultimate (Fighters up to Sora are considered veteran fighters).
Following the current state of World B having entered an era of peace as well as the newcomers that have been arriving due to the destruction of multiple worlds, a third god had been chosen to watch over the world. While there hasn’t been any record of something like this happening prior to the catastrophe, the “lucky” candidate chosen ended up being Bartz Klauser who, as a result of being chosen, had lost his memories of his original powers as well as said original powers themselves and now has the power to summon crystal replicas of warriors that served as the champions of Cosmos and Materia. However, the dark forces also seek to capture him due to his status as a fledgling god.
