Ella shot awake, immediately pulling back but not exactly cowering. She glanced outside and muttred a curse. She'd slept the day away. She had to get her schedule under control. Why didn't Kadi wake me up?!

"Well, sorry if somebody didn't do ask I asked of her since she kept me awake all night," Ella muttered under her breath.

She was more annoyed at Kadia, and rather enjoyed doing patrols alone. It gave her time to think, and sometimes even just let out her excess anger and sress. She brushed past the alpha and slid out of camp, not caring in the slihtest. She walked for a while before breaking into a run. She slowed as she neared the borders, panting.

Ella paused as she heard the mutter of voices. Human voices. She ducked behind a tree but did so too late. The voices called out to her, and she slowly poked her nose out from behind the tree. She could see three older men, each armed with a heavy shotgun. She knew she couldn't fight. She should have objected as to patroling alone. Most who did that, well, they never returned the same- if they returned at all...

She padded through camp, it had been confirmed she was indeed expecting pups a moon earlier, she sighed and sat, her tail flicking, she had been staying in her wolf form for a while, not liking her human form that much

Zi padded out of the betas' den, glancing around for Crystal or Ella. He wanted to discuss patrols, which were a requirement he actually tried to meet. "This pack needs to get it together," He muttered to nobody in particular as he sat down in a shady corner to watch the pack and pick the werewolves he would be sending on patrol that day. There weren't many options he had. Perhaps Kadia and himself could patrol, or Kadia and the omega- Mika. He disliked it but with so few werewolves in the pack, he would have to send the omega on a patrol if he couldn't locate Ella in the span of a few more minutes.

She was sitting outside her den, fur fluffed against the cold as she sighed, they had lost so many during the great battle, including her mate, the Alpha male, even thinking about him made her want to cry, she missed him so much, the pack numbers were hanging on by a thread, they could barely get enough food to eat most of the time, she looked down a bit, sighing again.

Ella Conner

Ella wasn't at camp. Moons earlier, she had been sent on solo patrol and gone missing. The humans she had seen had captured her and were using her for questionable things. She was only half alive, laying on that cold tiled floor in the cell she had been thrown into, fighting every minute and trying to get back to her pack.
Kadia Evlase

Kadia nosed her bedding into place before padding into the camp and looking around. She approached Zi, head lowered and tail tucked slightly.

"Beta Ling," She woofed.

Zi ignored Kadia and lowered his head as he stood to greet Crystal. "Zi, please, Alpha," He woofed softly, nodding. What's this about? I was just about to send out patrols and nothing's really gone wrong. The prey pile's a bit low but... He flicked an ear, dismissing the thoughts. There was no way he was in trouble yet- he hadn't slipped up in weeks as far as he knew. Then slight worry crossed his mind. Is this about Ella? I'd hope not. I haven't seen her in... months...

Kadia Evlase


Kadia blinked, surprised at how easily Beta Ling had dismissed her. She growled in obvious annoyance and padded away, muttering under her breath. She wanted to go looking for Ella, but nobody had allowed her to or even shared her worries. For all she knew, Ella was dead. And she couldn't have that. Ella had been her closest friend. Fine! I'll find her myself! She began to head in the general direction of the camp's exit before sighing and laying down near it. No. I can't. I have to stay for my pack and believe she'll come back. She has to. She always has before. If Alpha Crystal hadn't sent her on a solo patrol, none of this would have happened! I shouldn't have snitched.

Zi followed, turning human as he walked. He'd never found his wolf form a comfort to him, finding it a form that revealed his emotions often. He wondered what this was about, not completely sure what was going on. Why does she need to talk to me alone? Nobody would listen in on us. Strange. He'd noticed Kadia as well but again dismissed her. Kadia's fine. She probably just wanted to go on patrol. It probably had nothing to do with Ella, right? Did those two even know each other?

Kadia glared resentfully at the two higher-ups. Of course, they would discuss without her. She had nothing to do, nothing to lose, what harm would come from going and looking for Ella? Probably a lot if she got lost or kidnapped or something. With her luck, she'd end up farther from Ella than she was now. Her best bet was to just wait. She sighed, still glaring.

Zi sat, crossing his legs and ducking slightly to fit inside the den. He didn't bother turning back to his wolf form since it wasn't his favorite form. "Yes..." He responded after a moment, deciding not to ask any questions before he got answers. He also wasn't jumping to conclusions, since assumptions always led to trouble.

Zi blinked. PUPS!? Nooooooo. He thought, but his human form hid his dread well. "Oh. So you won't be able to patrol or hunt for a while," He picked his words carefully, not bringing up the dreaded pups. Pups meant finding somebody to babysit them while the alpha did her job, which meant probably ending up doing it himself, which meant- oh he could go on. But he forced himself not to think about it. I'll deal with it when it comes up. He told himself.
