Hey everyone! I'm RedeemedRogue and happy to be here! A few things about me to save time:
-I've been around roleplaying since, it feels like, before time began. I'd consider myself advanced with varying post lengths depending on situation.
-Not very groundbreaking, but I LOVE, LOVE character development, intriguing plot twists and world-building, all of which I enjoy doing with whoever my partner is. Collaboration is really important to me, so I tend to communicate a lot and bounce ideas off of my partner.
-Speaking of communication, I prefer threads for IC/OOC and I'm totally fine with PM'ing for initial set up, of course.
-Frequency? It really depends on my schedule. Like many of you, I'm a full time employee, husband, dad and friend, so there's a LOT going on in my life, but if I had to give you time intervals between posts, I'd say between one to three days. If a post is super lore-heavy/detail rich, it might take me longer to polish it off.
If that's all well and good, here are a couple of ideas I have:
Star Wars: The Old Republic <--new idea that I would LOVE to try out!
"Broken Order"
Matho Delinea, a once proud, up and coming Sith Warrior, found himself exiled from Dromund Kaas and on the run from Imperial Intelligence thanks to his foiling of an assassination of one of the Dark Council members, a mission that his Master had guaranteed would be successful and would fast track Matho to the position of Lord; instead, his Master had fed him false intelligence, pinned the would-be assassination plot on another Dark Council member and used Matho as a pawn to further his ambitions.
That was seven years ago. Darth Malgus, once a powerful executor of the Emperor's will, has long since been defeated and all resources that had been poured into hunting down Matho for his "betrayal" have been diverted all across the systems to retake worlds that the Republic have laid claim on. The Jedi and Sith are scattered, weak, fractured thanks to not only the extermination efforts of Malgus, but aggressive deployments of both Jedi and Sith by their respective government overlords in battles that ravaged the ranks. Matho has carved out a niche for himself in the chaos as a Force Hunter, employed by unsavory and ill-reputed organizations that placed bounties on Force Users that had done damage to their operations.
Matho's latest contract has led him to the wastes of Telos, where a Hutt Cartel claims that a Force User is shaking up smuggling operations that run from Telos to Nar Shaddaa. What Matho doesn't realize is that the Force User is looking for something, a relic from long ago that could shake the foundations of the galaxy...
Notes: I have a general idea of where this is going to go (going to tie into the Eternal Throne storyline as well as the legend of Revan/Exile) and I want to take some significant liberties with the canon. If this up your alley at all, let me know!
Persona Universe:
This can go a couple of ways, but here are the two strands I'm thinking of:
"The Anatomy of the Unconscious" (P5)
Set six years after Persona 5, Ren Amimiya (Joker) has settled into a mundane life as a junior software accountant at a small tech company outside of Osaka. With his former running mates dispersed around the globe and an awkward silence floating between them, he finds himself rather content with the mundane nature of his existence, happy to bury the dark events of his teenage years; that is until he receives a mysterious text from an unknown number that asks to meet, claiming that something within "The Societal Unconscious" is forming and that only "The Phantom Thieves" would be able to thwart.
Completely open for plotting. You can play a canon character (Anne or Makoto would be preferable) or a completely new character.
"The Shadow of Inaba" (P4)
Set four years after the events of Persona 4, Yu Narukami is attending a small college in Yokohama where he chose to major in Criminology, an inspiration no doubt from his uncle. As the fall semester is in full swing, Yu returns to his dormitory room only to discover a bamboo comb on his pillow, a note attached to the comb that reads: "All is lost in shadow". Combine this with a text later that night from Chie Satonaka that her parents had suddenly disappeared, Yu suspects that what he and his friends had thwarted was just the beginning of something much more sinister.
Another one completely open for plotting and same rules as above. I'd love to play Yu, but YC choice is completely open.
I'm also open to the following fandoms/settings, but nothing super defined:
-Star Wars (Old republic era or after ROTJ)
-Feudal Japan with high fantasy elements
