Precisely. That’s where the administrators come in. Each of those is drawing upon the same source, and the administrators access the source directly. All of those impact the source in different ways, which we’ll see reflected in the desert.

Is the desert the final destination for time?

For some of us. The source isn’t something we can perceive directly, so we see it differently depending on our own biases. As the weaver explained.

Are you wanted somewhere? In the wild west way?

Kinda. Sorta wanted. Mostly exiled and shunned. Wrongfully, I might add.

In the same way, that’s what the desert is to us. Time is a chaotic, unpredictable force to become lost in. It shifts and turns, and the only constant is its inconsistency. That’s why permanent fixtures, like that trail we saw, mean something is wrong. They indicate that something is violating that nature, becoming fixed.

That’s as bad as playing checkers against yourself and shouting your next move every turn.

So there is never such a point within the framework of time that is a fixed moment or event?

It happens. And happened. But the ways of sand consider islands of stability in this ever-changing desert to be unusual.

*Points two finger guns upward and stands at your diagonal, shoulder next to yours, with my shades still on and speaking in a fake accent*
You tell me.
