@Mao Mao so all our ships (bar one) got here by the intervention of an Ascended being known as Daniel who brought everyone together.
Dooku walked down the ramp of the Jedi shuttle on the surface of Coruscant, the bombardment continued unabated and unhindered by the presence of new ships on the surface. In the distance, the usual chaos of local air traffic was almost non-existent as while many people couldn't evacuate they had moved as far away from the threat as possible. Some had ventured deeper underground, whereas others to the opposite side of the planet.
Behind him walked a bald woman in similar robes, a lightsaber hilt on both sides of her waist. Dooku bowed his head ever so slightly at the various beings gathered, they were all... surprisingly colorful barr two. "Greetings. I am Master Dooku of the Jedi Order. I have been sent here by the Jedi Council to get you acquainted with the events that have... transpired"
So Maul either isn't a thing or Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon just used Force Sprint to merc his ass the moment those energy barriers opened.

Or Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon switched places.
I just want to come up with an adequate introduction post, lol. Although part of me does wonder how the crew of the Fires of Antiquity would react to seeing a Forerunner vessel drop into orbit had I gone that route instead.
<Snipped quote by Havoccultist>
They'd probably immediately bow and ask the vessel for orders.
Also, yeah a Contender-class AI would be overpowered as hell here, Mendicant was meant to counter a foe that had access to fucking neural physics and Mendicant had control over basically everything and *still* got logic plagued by the Primordial. The Replicants wouldn't stand a chance.

Well in 343 lore sure. I still hold to Bungie's original humans are descendants of Forerunners lore, rather than all the retconning with the Forerunners for Forerunners (e.g. Precursors) and whatnot that occurred as part of the Halo 3 terminals, but yeah it would be since that's all we presently have to go off of in any official capacity.
<Snipped quote by Havoccultist>
Yeah there's a lot that 343 lore changed, especially since Bungie lived by rule of cool so 343 lore had to come up with justifications for certain things, like High Charity suddenly showing up at the Ark for no reason whatsoever.
<Snipped quote by Senhara>
True. Granted, if Microsoft hadn't decided to make it another cash cow it would have ended at 3, and ODST would have been the equivalent of DLC.
But as always our corporate necromancer cannot let a corpse lie...
Well I had claim to the start off the first page
