The problem is where do they hide? It isn't like she can have several places her father wouldn't know about. It would have to a place that's empty or takes cash. Even then they could be found.

We could make it so that they've lost the convoy for the time being and can take refuge in one of the many places available. Her dad's peeps would have to search various places and might not have the time or resources to do it all in one day. They could find accommodation at some hostel hidden in plain sight in the next town or something. We could even have the convoy run into unexpected trouble, like a random police inspection, to slow them down.

Anything in the state would be temporary. They haven't lost them yet. They were on a back road until they hit town. I guess after they eat and refuel they'll have to head out of the city. But with no money their opinions are limited.

I have a weird question. Why hasn't Wynn used his phone before now? I mean he's kind of decided to try and help Roxy but before that he could have tried. I don't know how much signal he would have had in the bunker but... if seems like he would have used it. I didn't really think about it when Roxy told him to look for a way out of town but the question about charging box got me thinking about why he'd need one.

Oh, I made it such that he didn't have it, for convenience's sake, and just wrote that out on page two.

"I take the watch to the store when I need it replaced, and that isn't too often," he replied, and then laughed. "Sometimes I wait for weeks after it stops. It's more of an accessory than anything else. I don't often need it to tell the time since I usually have my phone on me. Unfortunately, during one of the few times I don't, some chick snatches me off the street. Got to hate life sometimes."

I made it so that it was a spare phone in the car that he used.

I wanted to progress but with Roxy dosing it's kind of hard to but I can do a skip if you want. Just give me an idea of what kind of time frame you think would pass.

It'll probably be a few more hours before they'd get to the nearest Internet cafe to check the disc out. I guess we can prepare for some action then.

What kind of action? Either they have avoided her father's people and can sit and connect or they haven't and they have to run. Running could lead to some interesting situations but I'm not sure about bonding or building character.

They could be spotted after spending some time looking at the contents of the disc (which would be encrypted, as discussed), so the action could come after that.

We need to figure out the content of the what's on the disc. I still can't think of anything that would involve Roxy and Wyn. Or anything that could be used to keep her father from killing or capturing them. Being out of state protects them some.

I'm thinking about some that was forgotten or maybe put on the backburner. No specifics yet but it needs to be something that wasn't urgent.

It could generally be an access code to some dangerous resources, but they'd have to work to decipher it. I guess we can start to figure out a puzzle of some sort.

Access codes are an interesting idea. I remember Wyn's identity was hidden which would explain some of the time. Plus how did his identity come to light these aren't things I thought about b

There was a mention at the start that he got a delivery that had something to do with his biological parents, and suspected that Roxy had traced him from that. So you could go with that if you want.

It's just some legal stuff due to him turning 21. Could just take that it was supposed to be really secure but she was somehow able to trace it, not that it matters now since we've moved the story along already. It could be something we could use as a piece of a puzzle if required though, but that would involve circling back to the campus at some point, or contacting a third party for the info.

I guess but I doubt someone who was looking for something important wouldn't think to look in the property of that person. Even of Wyn's father left it with someone Roxy's dad wouldn't know about or suddenly how would that person find Wyn to give him the items after Wyn turned 18 when his identity had been changed?
