For better or worse, Jojo sticks out like a sore thumb due to a mixture of her "crazy ass genetics" and her own doing. The first thing people notice about Jojo is her height; she's just tall, standing at six feet, and very slim and well-built. The girl hits the gym a lot because she has lots of muscle definition around her arms and legs and great abs. This is all because of a long life of athleticism and working hard for the results she wants (oh yeah, and genetics. Never forget the genetics). This gives her a somewhat masculine aura that she hates, but she knows she's at the stage where she can't do anything about it. What doesn't help is her square jaw and sharp facial features (also gotten from her mother).

Next is her dreads.... she has a lot of hair due to those genetics and has it twisted into dreadlocks that she dyes a forest green. She usually lets them hang but ties them into a bun if she fights. Jojo is African-American with roots in West Africa and the Caribbean - her mother is half-Bermudian. She has brownish skin but wishes she was a bit darker, but the rest of her facial features are consistent with African Americans and whatnot. Due to a lifetime of being a wild child, she has a bunch of different scars from getting hurt as a kid, some fights, and burning herself cooking.

Jojo was the daughter of her mother, Nakala Phillips - a legendary drill sergeant in the US Army - and her father, Carl Jackson - the two had a complicated relationship. Hence, they were never together, but Jackson remained a part of his daughter's life. Jojo was born in the Ramstein Air Base in Germany and traveled from place to place. Nakala was in Hunter Liggett when Delta-Storm occurred and watched as the crystals fell from the sky one night. It was beautiful, but Nakala mysteriously noticed something different a few years later and realized she had superpowers! It wasn't long before she got the letter in the mail and was whisked away to Sparrowdale.

At first glance, Jojo seems to be a weak Deltahuman; she was exposed to the Yellow, Green , and Blue Delta-Point Energies. Her superpower gives her super strength and a self-telekinesis that allows her to fly, but at the most default levels, it only boosts her capabilities slightly. It will enable Jojo to exert a little extra muscle strength, and she can fly slowly. However, this is where the third power comes in: Self-Power Amplification. The Green Delta-Point Energy grants Jojo a personal power battery that she can tap into to boost her capabilities for a short period. She can make herself solid and tough enough to punch through walls without trouble and fly at extremely high speeds; however, she can only access these heights for about five minutes.

She can choose how much power to draw from this battery and go from slightly boosting her capabilities to being able to lift and throw a car. So Jojo can decide to have weaker abilities but be able to use them for longer or stronger abilities and be completely useless afterward. This personal power battery recharges over time and takes a day tops to recharge - using it completely will halt its regeneration.

Meghan stands a little shorter than average and usually wears her black hair in an easy-to-manage short bob, and wears a large pair of glasses. Her face is almost always dominated by a scowl of dissastisfaction. She usually dresses on the conservative side, with a black skirt and a black puff-sleeve, both with white details at the end. She usually wears black mary janes and white knee-high socks. In her hair she wears a yellow barrette and around her neck she wears a rosary.

In terms of personality, Meghan is an intense stickler for obeying rules and making sure everyone else does likewise. Anyone who fails to follow the most basic instruction or rules will immediately earn a negative place in her book. Personally she's incredibly tidy and organized, and has a bit of a habit to manage and organize the most trivial matters personally. She's fairly intelligent and skilled, having a variety of hobbies from reading and writing to playing violin and piano. She tends to hold herself to a higher standard than everyone else and subconsciously judge them as beneath her. Earning her friendship is hard and even harder to keep. She's very religious.

Meghan was the last child born in her family, and the last one to leave while all the others had become adults and left home. Growing up, her mother was elderly and even stricter than she had been with any of her older children. Meghan's entire life was carefully under surveillance and managed by her mother, who Meghan seriously believed was watching her at all times. Even when Meghan had unwittingly become a deltahuman, her mother's initial response was baffled disbelief that she had become one without her permission. Regardless, being sent to Sparrowdale is one of the few Meghan has been separated from her overbearing influence.

TYPE-WHITE
Meghan's ability lets her temporarily merge into any surface she touches, including the floor and walls. In an instant, Meghan can instantly merge into it, creating a notable black spot on it roughly her size in diameter. This black spot is capable of sliding along the surface it's imprinted into at high speeds. At will, Meghan is capable of ejecting herself from the spot she created, either fully, causing the spot to vanish, or can reach out of it while still remaining in the hole, such as to pull another object in or to strike from the safety of the hole. Interestingly, Meghan is capable of taking objects into the hole, storing them for later, and then pulling them out, even from a completely different location. While she can pull people into a hole as well, it will constantly try to eject them, requiring her to consistently "hold them in" which requires effort. While inside of the hole she is incapable of breathing, giving her a maximum duration of being able to remain inside of it of about a minute or so.

Arty was sick until he died. The whole time, autoimmune issues ravaged his flesh and bones and forced him into a sedentary, bedridden lifestyle. It wasn't until the Delta-Storm, where a rogue Yellow crystal cluster destroyed the family car on a routine trip to the hospital, that he was much more than a stick with some weak limbs and a foul mouth. While both his parents survived the crash, Arty's weak and frail form hadn't been so lucky. Only by the remote chance that he positively reacted to the Delta-Point Energy emitted by the cluster was he able to return, though it was instantly clear that not everything was as it should be.

The Arty of today is nothing like the Arty from before. He has long since removed those bits and pieces of himself that he had come to hate and disdain. He has, through his abilities, reformed himself into the picture he'd always wanted to be for the sheer confidence and vanity of it. Though physical sensation is mostly lost to him now, he has rediscovered ways to mimic all of the things that a living, breathing human would do. Thanks to the time he spent as a sickly child, he's hardened his mind against his precarious new unlife, and has pushed himself to make the most of it. Mostly, he's grateful: Even though his life may not be normal at all anymore, he has all the things he wished he had as a nearly crippled child. He was given the gift of freedom and mobility, and as he trained his new abilities further he found more than he could have ever dreamed of.

Now, at seventeen, Arty has come to Sparrowdale as the best version of himself that he could think of. Taking from his Father's strong Slavic features, he fancies himself as something of a confident bad-boy type. The kind of character he always admired in stories and television whose no-nonsense attitudes and dedicated focus made him feel like he could relate even from his bed. He tries to be aloof and hold himself a peg higher than his peers, but appealing to the nerdy young man trapped within him shows a more emotional and fun-loving side of him that isn't something he likes to display openly.

Type-Yellow
Arty's power isn't so much a power as it is a full restructuring of his physical form. Made entirely out of highly reactive fungal cultures, he is essentially a walking Mushroom whose consciousness is maintained by complex mycelial tissue. What this does for him at a surface level is easy to guess: He is extremely durable and difficult to get rid of permanently. Occasionally his pores open and he sheds harmless clouds of spores as a bodily function, and his only known food requirement is organic material. His external layers of tissue can be manipulated like any fungus, and as the whole body is responsible for nervous system function, he doesn't require a head, limbs, or really any sort of concerted piece of himself to regrow his body at a rapid pace. The process only requires a great deal of energy to complete, meaning organic matter is necessary to maximize his strength.
