This talent will eventually make him a formidable opponent in espionage and reconnaissance missions, but for now, he’s merely a skilled prankster. Lin often uses his abilities to bully and intimidate others, making him a divisive figure among his peers.
Lin wields a seemingly ordinary cone as his weapon of choice, a small yet potent tool in his arsenal capable of amplifying sound waves despite his occasional missteps. Mimicking the stealthy rustle of leaves might inadvertently turn into a symphony of confusion as he experiments with his unique instrument.
Lin’s mimicry extends to the transformation of kunai into small, harmless canaries, although, more often than not, the canaries might not look as graceful as he intends. By attaching thin strings to the canaries, he can transport sound across farther distances. This allows him to eavesdrop on conversations from afar or relay messages without being detected, however, the strings have a tendency to get tangled. Nevertheless, Lin persists, learning from each mishap.

P E R S O N A L I T Y Ren is a courageous and compassionate soul, quick to try diplomacy first but also just as quick to resolve things with violence. He despises war yet knows that the best way to deter conflict is to have an edge over one's enemies, or alternatively, convert them to friends by defeating them and being magnanimous in victory to those who would accept it. Generous to everyone with his time and resources, Ren is nevertheless torn between the humble goal of serving Konoha with his friends (and maybe a boyfriend or girlfriend), or pursuing what he sees as a noble goal: Peace between the Hidden Villages and the various countries of the world.

B A C K S T O R Y Born to refugees from Uzu, Ren was destined for the Ninja life from an early age. His parents loved him, but also placed expectations on him, expectations he mistook for what he himself wanted. But as he joined the Academy, Ren felt something empty inside him, something that could not be filled with food, training, and even books - Both fiction and nonfiction. All he knew was that despite his generosity winning him friends, his willingness to protect people from bullies gave him a place in classroom politics, and also that there was a void inside him that was just on the verge of being filled but was not.
Then one day, he realized he liked another boy from his class. Then twenty-four hours later, that boy was tricked into helping a would-be defector set fire to several buildings (no one died, though). He would later learn that the other kid was dead, having been whisked off by the ANBU to be tortured and summarily executed as he begged for his life. But Ren didn't blame Konohagure for this; not yet. No, what he blamed was the power-hunger of the other villages and some of Konoha's own people. Even then, he believed that the Will of Fire was the best way of life for himself. Even then, he didn't dare dream of a shortcut to peace.
What he did dream of, however, was finding friends and another boy (or girl) and having as quiet a life as a shinobi can have...

B A C K S T O R Y Shana stands subjected to the Uchiha's cause, at least whatever can be salvaged from its former glory. As one whose light shines upon the buried light, Shana wrestles between her burning desire of reclaiming the honored name of the Uchiha through becoming Hokage as an act of justice served silent vengeance while remaining in control to not lose sight of herself in the pathos she's chosen. Whatever the strained relationship that became the undoing between the Uchiha & Konoha, it's evident that Shana felt alone as the solitude is the only way to ascertain the flame that should fan destiny, chasing time.
Whatever preconception in notion, Shana set herself ablaze among others & focus on her singular goal each day. In the academy, she was an honor student & class representative, befitting of her envisioned future as Hokage & although cold, Shana draws people with her commanding presence, valuing her classmates welfare though whether or not it's a means to an end, she prefer less dead weights to affect her business. Everything in her day to day is a struggle to overcome, even advances that may seem romantic, Shana knew well that as a the young heiress of the Uchiha, many would like to exploit her Clan's resources. She remains vigilant & expressive even with her peers.

P E R S O N A L I T Y Kasumi is a study in contradiction. Rational and tactical, yet possessed of an occasionally volcanic temper brewing under the surface. Introverted and armed with a nasty tongue, yet glib and friendly when the mood suits her. As often as she underestimates herself and overestimates her opposition, she remains willing to display outward confidence to lure others into underestimating her in turn. Within the Hidden Leaf Village, she has managed to fly largely under the radar in her generation of shinobi graduates, not making much of an effort to make friends and making a rather inverse effort to avoid making enemies. Beneath the surface, however, Kasumi is incredibly power-hungry, intently seeking security and confidence in the arms of constant growth and accrued knowledge. She is a callous cynic, seeing the Will of Fire as little more than glorified societal brainwashing propaganda. She is ruthlessly intelligent, able to turn even the simplest jutsu into something far more dangerous with exploitation, and nearly everything she does is for the sake of attaining her dream of a secure, peaceful... and eternal life.
B A C K S T O R Y Born into the Haruno civilian family that has been long considered fairly unremarkable aside from their genetic predisposition to vibrantly pink hair, Kasumi is a diamond in the rough of unexpected talent. Raised by a single mother, Kasumi has been persistently denied the truth of her unknown father's heritage for fear of what could happen to them both if someone of her father's genetics were discovered outside wedlock. The truth is that Kasumi was the result of a one-night stand with an Uchiha, but her physical traits taking after her mother have safely concealed this part of her heritage, as had the lack of awakening a Sharingan and -in fact- the death of her father in the line of duty, leaving no-one left alive who might be able to speculate on the truth. As far as anyone is concerned, she's just a bastard child, conceived out of wedlock, which has earned her something of a level of sneering scorn and dismissal from the more prejudiced against such things.
Outside that, she has remained startlingly unremarkable in the public eye, having made some effort to conceal the true extent of her skill and hunger for knowledge and power. Though she was ignorant of the truth, Kasumi was rightfully concerned by her mother's adamantly tight lips, and she sought solace from this concern in the accruement of more and more personal power to stand on her own feet in this bloody, dangerous world.

Kasumi has truly prodigal awareness and control of her chakra, enough to even give her some capacity as a sensor. While that is because she once had rather weak reserves and thus had better awareness of what little she did have, it is something she has been working to remedy through rigorously physically honing her body, even as she continues to refine her chakra control. Kasumi did not stop at the techniques taught by the academy and made an effort to go above and beyond in her training.
Because of this, she is quite capable in the surface-walking technique, to the degree of even being able to walk on water, and she has even used it to develop a twisted mirror of the Hyuga's Gentle Fist. She has a basic capacity in nature transformation, but she has yet to find the time to actually learn any elemental jutsu, when mastering and twisting her basics is much more critical for her present style. Her fine awareness and control of her chakra also allows her to suppress her chakra signature, even from sensors, making her extra stealthy when needs must.
Kasumi's unique fighting style. Using the Gentle Fist as inspiration and the Surface Walking technique as a base, Kasumi deliberately injects too much chakra into a target after making physical contact. The result is a "rupture" around the impact site, causing the target to violently explode, just as what happens to any surface one uses too much chakra trying to walk on with Surface Walking.
By coating her limbs in "sheathes" of chakra, she can also rather specifically counter the Gentle Fist by constantly maintaining an effective shield of chakra that prevents her tenketsu from being sealed. Both offensively and defensively, this fighting style built around using the Surface Walking technique to stick to and detonate targets is extremely effective in its brutal simplicity.
Kasumi displays an aggressively fine finesse with the basic academy techniques, able to use them all without hand-seals. Where others see weak, everyday jutsu that quickly go overlooked for flashier and more destructive techniques, Kasumi appreciates and exploits these techniques, seeing potential for more.
In particular, Kasumi has devoted much time to mastering the Replacement technique, allowing her to use it practically at-will to swap herself with nearly anything or anyone she is aware of the location of. Of course, the chakra cost tends to increase based on the size difference and range between herself and the target, but it has nonetheless become the central staple of her intended fighting style. It allows her truly intimidating amounts of battlefield control over the positioning of herself and enemies, near entirely eliminating the speed or range advantage of more powerful foes. It's as useful alone as it is with allies, and even outnumbered by enemies, it simply gives Kasumi more targets to force into friendly fire.
Alongside that, she sees the potential of the Transformation technique for a truly underrated amount of situations. Being that the Transformation is a genuine physical shapeshift, it is incredibly useful for infiltration, stealth and even combat, allowing Kasumi to change her size and shape on the fly. Because it is a fully physical transformation and not an illusion, not even the likes of the Sharingan or Byakugan can see what is concealed beneath it, even if they might at least discern that the jutsu in question is being employed. It also means Kasumi doesn't suffer from weaknesses in disguise like having the wrong voice, her own shifting entirely to whatever she wishes.
Of the Academy Three, the Clone technique is the one she sees as the genuine weakest, but even that she uses in melee to obfuscate her own actions with the illusions. Kasumi employs the Clone jutsu not only to throw false ranged attacks but to mix up her melee, overlaying her own body with the pure illusions to conceal which attacks and movements are her own. While the technique is easily seen through by many notable doujutsu, for those without, Kasumi's particular methods of utilization can be troublesome.
Kasumi has been studying medical knowledge in preparation to hopefully become a medical ninja, and while she has yet to find the time to properly learn any medical jutsu, she largely has her foundational knowledge completed. This makes her a fair hand at mundane surgery or -at the least- field surgery, certainly more than the average practitioner of first aid.
Kasumi has some mediocre capacity in the art of seals. She can recognize a few, but mostly, she uses it in the pursuit of storage, explosive and medical seals. Her use of fuinjutsu largely tends towards copy/pasting preexisting works of others, but she has had the independent idea to draw seals on her skin to turn different parts of her own body into a form of "storage scroll", allowing her to easily hide things on her person.

B I O Name: Hikari Hyuga Age: 17 Rank: Tokubetsu Jonin Title: Konoha's Heavenly Enforcer
P E R S O N A L I T Y As one would have expected from the heiress to Konoha's (in their own words) strongest clan, Hikari is a dignified young woman who speaks politely and gently with all the propriety that would not be out of place in the Imperial Court...at least on the surface. In private, she is known to be more of a firebrand, quick with witty and cutting remarks. Her way of talking and prideful nature might rub some people the wrong way, but one can always count on Hikari Hyuga to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth once she's in her 'firebrand' mode. Hikari takes great pride in her ability as a shinobi and continuously looks for a way to improve and prove herself. One might wonder why she is so driven when her future as the next head of the Hyuga clan is all but assured and shinobi career-wise, she is considered a prodigy who graduated early, became a Chunin when her peers were just graduating from the academy, becoming Tokubetsu Jonin two years later, and entering the Bingo Book a year after. But that is simply the perfectionist young woman that is Hikari Hyuga.
B A C K S T O R Y Born as the third child to the Hyuga Clan head, Hikari's first thought, when she started to learn about the Hyuga clan in full, was... what a waste of potential her clan is. The Hyuga Clan, steeped in their long-honoured tradition has become too rigid and inflexible. It's not as if the clan has not improved since the age of the warring clans, but rather than pursuing new avenues that have opened up since then, the clan is content simply with polishing what they already have.
Compare this, for example, to their (self-proclaimed) rival, the Uchiha Clan. The Uchiha Clan has retained their shurikenjutsu, genjutsu, and fire ninjutsu they have been known for since the clan wars day, but as Konoha is founded they have branched out, taking advantage of the very essence of a Hidden Village, a place where clans and shinobis enter into an alliance to collaborate and live in a shared space. Now, it's not rare to see Uchiha as taijutsu and kenjutsu specialists, using their sharingan to learn the stances and forms with great speed. Or an Uchiha that specializes in wind ninjutsu in addition to their fire ninjutsu, or general ninjutsu specialists using their Sharingan to master various ninjutsu for various situations. Meanwhile, the Hyuga was a brilliant scout and fearsome close combat specialist...and remained a brilliant scout and fearsome close combat specialist and little else.
And there is the matter of the Branch Clan's cursed seal. Hikari understood the necessity of protecting the Byakugan, but even on a purely pragmatic level, branding an entire group of people as 'disposable' and treating them as second-class citizens are simply unsustainable in the long run. The Hyuga is too proud, far too proud to even consider someone might break the curse seal. If they do, the Branch members are sure to rebel and since they are 'disposable', they are the ones that pursue full shinobi careers, doing dangerous missions. They might not have the secret techniques kept from the Main clan members, but their experience is sure to allow them to triumph over the main branch. Indeed, without the curse seal to keep them at bay, there is no way for the Main branch to defeat the Branch member.
Unfortunately, in such a traditional clan as the Hyuga, the most effective and bloodless way to change the clan is only from within. And to do that Hikari needed to be the heiress over her older sister and brother. To that end, Hikari threw herself into learning the Hyuga clan techniques and becoming an excellent shinobi. She had gone from a would-be Branch Member to a promising Main Member in the eyes of the elders. Once she graduated from the academy at 10 and became Chunin at 12, Hikari's father along with the elders named Hikari as the heiress instead. A decision they felt was the right one once Hikari made Tokubetsu Jonin at age 14 as a long-range bow specialist. Of course, once she is the heiress she needs to fulfil the expectation of the elders to continue being the heiress, meaning to play the perfect Hyuga princess. It burned some bridges with some of the Branch members, but in the end, is unavoidable to successfully navigate the clan's politics.
As for her siblings, while her older sister is more neutral, her older brother still covets the position, and thus uses his connection to stifle Hikari's shinobi career once her name appeared on the Bingo Book under the guise of 'ensuring the Hyuga heiress is safe within the village' so he may 'catch up in accomplishment'. A fact that infuriated Hikari to no end, as she was confident that she has the skills to be Jonin, but is now stuck as a Tokubetsu Jonin—an academy instructor, at that—due to lack of higher rank missions experience.
Hikari realizes that an academy instructor is an important position, but surely it's a waste of resources to have her be one? It's also infuriating to deal with cocky kids who disrespect her because she's only a couple of years older than them. Well, at least if nothing else, it allows her to interact with future fellow shinobis and potentially important people. A chance to network, if nothing else. Like that one Uzumaki kid who is very gifted in sealing. She even secretly passed him the design for the Hyuga curse seal in a way that wouldn't implicate her to see what he could make of it. She doesn't know if he has made any progress on it, but it would be interesting if he did.
Still, now that enough time has passed since she became an academy instructor that resigning wouldn't be seen as her rejecting her elder brother's kindness, something frowned upon in the clan because they're supposed to present a united front to the village, she'll apply to lead a genin team. This way, she's still 'respecting her brother's wishes' since she's only doing D to C ranks but at the same time returning to active duty. Many genin teams often run missions together even when they've become Chuunin, after all. And at that time, if she tags along on higher-ranking missions, she's just being a good Jonin instructor. And so that's the plan, become a Jonin Instructor, get the genin to be Chuunin in the first try, and then start doing higher-ranking missions again.

The basic skills every shinobi has. As a prodigy, Hikari has a good grasp on a shinobi basic skills. Though most notable is her chakra control, as one would expect of a Hyuga, as well as her stealth skill, something that Hikari has developed to take advantage of the Byakugan's ability to perceive opponents from far away, and thus, defeat them before the opponents had a chance to react. Hikari has learned the Hiding with the Camouflage Technique, a ninjutsu that controls the reflection of light around her body to make herself invisible.
The signature dojutsu of the Hyuga clan. The all-seeing white eyes of her clan allow Hikari to perceive her surrounding area in a 360-degree vision, seeing through solid objects. Hikari has a range of 800 meters radius around her, and when used as a telescopic-like vision, she is able to see up to 15 Km away. Byakugan is also able to perceive chakra with a greater degree than all known dojutsu, seeing the chakra pathway system and the 361 tenketsu that run through it, allowing for the use of the Hyuga's clan signature gentle fist.
The Hyuuga clan's signature fighting style. The Gentle Fist is a taijutsu technique that allows one to inflict internal damage through the chakra pathway system and even closes the tenketsu of the opponent to hamper their ability to use chakra. At a sufficiently advanced level, the Gentle Fist is able to destroy any chakra-based substance. The Gentle Fist also possesses various derivative techniques such as Eight Trigrams Palm Revolving Heaven, that create a spinning dome-like defense. Among them, Hikari's favourite is Gentle Fist Art One Blow Body, a technique that allows a Gentle Fist user to expel chakra from all their tenketsu. Hikari has added her own variation to the technique, not only expelling chakra but deploying a change of chakra nature, expelling blades of wind or streams of fire from her tenketsu. In close combat, this means opponents risk getting cut or burned every time they land a hit or even get too close to Hikari.
The typical Hyuga is a close combat specialist, engaging their opponents in close-range taijutsu fights via the Gentle Fist. To Hikari, however, their inability to take advantage of the Byakugan's long-range sight is an oversight. A traditional clan proud of their legacy, naturally many among the clans disapprove of Hikari's assessment—only her proficiency in the Gentle Fist prevents them from confronting her directly—in the end however, it is hard to disapprove as Hikari starts to snipe her opponents from hundreds of meters away. Hikari utilizes her wind nature to enhance her arrows so they would fly farther, penetrate obstacles in their way, and have better manoeuvrability to reach their target up to 600 meters away.
Hikari is able to proficiently use nature transformation and shape transformation to perform various wind and fire ninjutsu. Despite her proficiency, however, Hikari rarely uses them in battle due to not really fitting her fighting style. She has, however, used the knowledge to develop her personal ninjutsu that fits her fighting style, the Divine Wind Arrow technique.
The Divine Wind Arrow technique is a ninjutsu developed by Hikari, utilizing nature transformation and shape transformation. Hikari creates pressurized air in the shape of arrows that can be fired without a bow. Because they are not physical arrows they are invisible to the naked eye as well as weightless, allowing them to reach even further targets as far as 2.5 kilometres, with more chakra used the farther the target is. Hikari has also developed a variation called the Divine Phoenix Arrow technique, where in addition to wind transformation, fire transformation is utilized to wreathe the arrows in flame. This sacrifices its invisibility, but allows it to engulf their targets in intense flames should they survive the shot, taking advantage of how wind techniques amplify fire techniques. By expending a large amount of chakra, Hikari is able to make the fiery wind arrow explode in a huge fiery explosion.
This technique is the source of Hikari's title in the Bingo Book. When Hikari started using this technique, enemies being sniped from kilometres away by fiery arrows liken it to a 'judgment from heaven'.

P E R S O N A L I T Y Brave, Daring, and a believer in both his capabilities and that of his subordinates, Satoshi is moderately charitable and compassionate but those who know him can also see that there is an emptiness in his heart that forces him to play up his positive traits to rise in the ranks. However, those privy to his real plans could see a madman, broken by the horrors of war and bouncing back and forth between a hunger for power and a genuine desire to make life better for everyone. How was he going to do that? By mastering a Justu that goes beyond time and space and delves into possible universes and dimensions, allowing him to pick the best possible choice for this universe and impose it on others.
Obviously, to everyone else, he'll fail. But to those closest to him, he has that spark of brilliance that can, even in failure, change the world.
B A C K S T O R Y Satoshi was a war orphan, adopted by a Jounin of Konoha, who showed promise in the Research and Development department, where he took an interest in the Second Hokage's time/space Jutsu and even managed to dissect the theory behind some of the more complex techniques. Eventually, however, he was drafted into the Third Shinobi World War, where he found himself the guardian of a team of Genin; apprentices whose lives were before them, who had boundless potential... And who eventually died, one by one, in horrible ways that haunted him with the thought: Could there have been a world where, had different choices been made, their fates could have been avoided?
Eventually, Satoshi discovered a technique of his own, one that would normally be a Forbidden Jutsu, which he used to win the Third War for Konohakagure - The Mirror of Possibilities Technique. This Jutsu allowed him to temporarily 'overwrite' his own skillset and body with an alternate self; one that had trained in different skill sets, had different mentors, and eventually, different births. Essentially, this was a Technique that overrode his current identity and replaced it with a new one from a parallel universe - His mind memories and core self were unaffected, but he could call on information and powers from his alternate selves... Including alternate selves who were part of various Missing-nin organizations.
Of course, Satoshi had to hide the full extent of his new powers, lest he be imprisoned and used as a test subject. He did so long enough to become a Jounin, and now, he is free to begin his greatest work: Find out how to gather all the existing Jinchūriki together to power a variation of his technique that would find the one version of his world that reached a lasting peace - And layer it over this one!

Space-Time Ninjutsu - Though not as adept as another world's Fourth Hokage, Satoshi is good enough at Space-Time Ninjutsu to boost his speed to beyond superhuman levels, teleport himself short distances (up to an apartment building's length), and slow down time enough for him to cast the Mirror of Possibilities Technique.
Genius-level Intelligence - Satoshi is as intelligent as a certain world's amoral snake-themed genius, albeit in different specialties. Where that person specialized in biology, he specialized in physics. Where that person saw power in bloodline limits and modifications to the human form, Satoshi focuses on the fundamental forces of the Multiverse and how they can be made use of. He also knows enough about politics and political theory to keep enough people happy, and thus maintain his position as a Jounin.
Normal Ninja Package - Every basic Ninja ability that a Jounin should know, including kunai throwing, basic taijutsu, basic first aid and medical jutsu, substitution techniques, and transformation jutsu, is included here.
Fuinjutsu - Knows enough Fuinjutsu to make an Uzumaki jealous, and can theoretically undo the Hyuuga's Caged Bird Seal while making it look like it still worked, or even transfer control of the seal to himself, with his knowledge.
Mirror of Possibilities Technique - Satoshi's Magnum Opus and Trump Card, the Mirror of Possibilities technique allows him to override his self with the powers and knowledge of an alternate universe counterpart while keeping his ego and memories intact. This allows him access to techniques he should not know, write down confidential information about families and organizations he is not a part of for his original self to read later, and by tapping into selves that became crime lords or legitimate businessmen, learn how to make cash in discreet ways. However, he cannot copy Bloodline Limits, Eye Powers, or other living beings, so he cannot turn himself into a Jinchūriki because that requires him to copy a Tailed Beast, nor can he give himself the Byakugan, Sharingan, and Rinnegan.

P E R S O N A L I T Y Born as a member of the Aburame clan, Shinya's constant companions aside from his family while growing up are insects. Like many Aburames, Shinya sees the world through a lens of ordered rationality. Everything has its place, and every action requires a clear logical reason that justifies its necessity. In one sense, this makes Shinya an ideal file and rank shinobi, it does however, hamper Shinya's ability to connect with his teammates and prevents him from making snap decisions under fire. Shinya realizes this and tries to rectify it, unfortunately, more often than not, he comes across as awkward. Alas, such is the common problem faced by many Aburames growing up.
B A C K S T O R Y Shinya was born as a member of the Aburame clan, and like all Aburames, Shinya was implanted with parasitic insects at birth, making insects Shinya's constant companion throughout his life. To Shinya, the world of insects seems much more logical to live in. Compared to humans, insects are logical, utilitarian, and ordered. Every member of the colony has their purpose and all serve the colony. To an insect the reason you are born, and the reason you fight are clear. This is what Shinya believed as a member of as shinobi clan in the colony that is Konoha, his role is to defend Konoha. To fight in Konoha's defence, grow strong, and pass on his ability and techniques to his children. Such is the logical lot for an Aburame. The older clan members, however, often mention that though Shinya is right as a human—not an insect—life is so much more than that. And the more Shinya grew up, the more he started to agree with the sentiment. Ordered logic alone is not the world humans live in, and neither should anyone live that way. Still, Shinya has not found for himself what else is there except a distinct sense that something is missing, if there is a dream Shinya has, it is probably finding that 'something'.

The basic skills every shinobi has. As an academy graduate with relatively above-average grades, Shinya has decent proficiency with all basic shinobi skills. However, he is particularly good in chakra control due to the Aburame's clan practice of insect rearing. The various special breeds of insects utilized by the clan require different chakra sustenance, and so an Aburame member typically has good chakra control.
The signature ability of an Aburame. As a member of the Aburame clan, Shinya uses his body as a nest for the insects used by the Aburame for their various techniques. At this stage, Shinya still only has access to the basic parasitic insects that feed on chakra.

Insect Jar While Aburame typically stores their insects inside their body, some still carry gourds or jars, typically containing special insects that they are not ready to have inside their body. Shinya's jar contains the Kochu, a breed of insects with potentially fatal poison.
P E R S O N A L I T Y Numachi is a young man who has always had to contend with high expectations. Even more so, he strove to meet those expectations with everything he had because he wanted to be the person who could do so, even if he did lack the natural talent or gifts that others seemed to be born with to make it all happen so easily. A quiet and serious person who never really had time to socialize or have fun growing up, Numachi is completely comfortable in a professional situation while awkward and bashful in more relaxed social environments.
Numachi is a religious follower of his clan's faith... through he is quite secretive about the details of his religion. He is just as secretive about what actually happens on Mure lands. He is somewhat new to teaching others, but if need be he will strive to take the time to actually help someone who clearly needs and wants the assistance.
B A C K S T O R Y When Numachi was born, his birth coincided with a number of omens of great fortune... at least according to Clan Mure's personal beliefs and faith. While this was unconnected to any prophecy or greater destiny, Numachi grew up with a great deal of expectation to live up to.
Numachi was not born talented or a genius like Hikari Hyuga or Satoshi Shimura. In fact in a number of important areas about being a shinobi, he was kind of dull or much slower to pick up on then other children his age in general, his clan or otherwise. However, his desire to live up to the hopes and expectations of his parents was a motivating force for him to try and remove distractions and focus as hard as possible in order to be worthy of the favored omens of Suwanpugōto. He was a somewhat lonely child as his focus on trying to improve himself always came first, leaving him very little time for friends or fun but he found he didn't mind the quiet and solitude that much.
Despite his efforts, Numachi wasn't the top of his class. Even once Hikari graduated early, Numachi was simply too much of an all rounder to really rise up to the top in any singular field. In the fullness of time he graduated and became a genin. However, unlike other Genin he didn't instantly start taking missions or jobs. Instead, he briefly withdrew into the Mure's holdings in order to undergo 'clan training'.
Exactly what this 'clan training' actually involved in a secret kept zealously by all members of clan Mure, but what can be revealed is that when Numachi walked out of the dark, swampy forest that they privately own he had been bestowed with a pair of strange horns that all shinobi of clan Mure possessed. He also seemed to have picked up a great deal of knowledge about Genjutsu that he didn't have before, favoring a more subtle usage of the art then most genjutsu 'masters' opted for.
While somewhat more aloof about things then he had been before, Numachi still took his responsibilities and desire to be better quite seriously. The relationship he had with his genin team was purely professional; While it was clear that they developed something of an understanding of each other and their abilities on missions or in combat situations, outside of work there was simply no social connection between Numachi and them. Once they had filed a mission report or finished up a training session, they just went their separate ways and did their own thing.
In time he was promoted in chuunin and once again disappeared into the realm of the Mure for 'clan training'. While he was gone for several days when he became a genin, he wasn't seen or heard from for over two months after his promotion. His return was without fanfare or explanation of his time 'missing', but he returned in much better physical shape then he had left... and a new trick. At some point, he had signed the mysterious summoning contract of the Mure clan.
Somewhat more recently, Numachi earned a promotion to Tokubetsu Jonin at the age of eighteen. He has only recently started the job and it is unclear how suited he is to it at this stage. Time will tell.

Ninja Basics: Numachi has managed to build up and refine the basic requirements of being a shinobi to serve as a Tokubetsu Jonin.
Genjutsu Expert: Despite his own insistence and the insistence of other 'masters' that Numachi is not a genjutsu master, there is an argument to be made that he is one of the best genjutsu users in Konoha. Where other genjutsu users seem to prize the strength to trap enemies in big, often flashy illusions that they cannot break out of, Numachi favors subtly and tricking the mind into supporting the illusion. A personal favorite is to make his opponent think they are winning the fight; Make them believe attacks they launched connected when they didn't or blows they suffered they were able to dodge. Trick the mind into believing the fight is very much going in their favor... until it isn't.
Taijutsu Expert: The ultimate fundamental of all warriors, shinobi or otherwise. Numachi seems to know several different fighting styles that he is practiced and knowledgeable enough to make use of and flow between them as required. He doesn't seem to be a master of any individual style however.
Summoner: Numachi is a summoner of the Mure family contract. The popular theory is that the Mure family have a contract with goat summons, however the summons themselves are... strange. While they tend to be goat like in whatever form they take, they seem to be some sort of fusion of plant and animal, through no one outside of the Mure clan seem to have any idea what kind of plants are involved.

What little is known about Clan Mure.
Clan Mure is secretive by its nature and actual facts are hard to come by. Rumors surround the clan and its practices, but politically they have long been champions for the rights of individuals and privacy. While this has largely been on a clan level, they have fought for non-clan shinobi and even common people on occasion.
The clan joined Konoha shortly after the 1st Great War came to a close and have been apart of the village ever since. Occasionally one of their members will pop up in the villages history as a person of note, but normally as a 'side character' or 'supporting actor' to a more historically recognized figure.
Mure shinobi are instantly recognizable because they all have horns. Whenever a member of the clan becomes a recognized shinobi, they disappear into the swampy forest lands of their clan for an unknown period of time for 'training'. When they return, they will have a pair of horns growing out of their head. As they grow older, the horns will naturally start to grow more goat like. Exactly how and why this happens, the clan keeps secret... through it has to be said, some degree of training seems to be happening because when they reappear, the shinobi in question has developed in some manner in a noticeable amount.
As they grow older and receive higher ranks, Mure shinobi will return to their clan lands for additional training. There is a persist rumor about the clan that sometimes a shinobi will disappear into their clan lands for training and never return. The clan neither confirms or deny the rumor.
Clan Mure has a personal religion that it adheres to, but which they are also highly secretive about. By and large, Konoha at large only knows one solid detail about the Mure Clan's faith: It involves an entity called Suwanpugōto. Everything else about it is rumor and guesswork, since Clan Mure don't speak about it with outsiders. The Hokage and a select number of important figures of Konoha's government have been enlightened as to the nature of their religion and its practices. Not all of them, but enough to make it clear that Mure is loyal to Konoha and that its faith isn't a security threat to it or its citizens.
The Truth about Suwanpugōto
No one really knows what Suwanpugōto is. Some claim it is a demon, others that it is a god or deity... and yet more believe it might be something completely different from both. What is known is that it isn't a tailed beast, for Suwanpugōto was old when they started to walk the world.
Suwanpugōto normally takes the form of a giant goat made out of meat and plant matter. Suwanpugōto slumbers in a temple dedicated to it that lays hidden away in the swampy forest lands of Clan Mure; It has slept in that temple since before the ancestors of Clan Mure found it and it has not awoken to this day. But Suwanpugōto dreams... and it is possible to reach out and enter their dream and become infused with their power and inhuman knowledge. As far as deities are concerned, Suwanpugōto is actually fairly friendly towards humans that interact with it... through there are still dangers to doing so.
More then once, a shinobi of Clan Mure has had their mind shatter due to the knowledge that Suwanpugōto gave them. Not because it intended to do so, but simply because the human mind couldn't handle it. Much rarer, someone communing with Suwanpugōto will be completely overwhelmed and physically transformed, losing their humanity completely in order to become a young version of the creature Suwanpugōto is. The clan views this transformation in a positive light, for it means they were selected to become apart of Suwanpugōto's herd, adding not just an extra summon to the contract but possibly creating a whole new family of summons to call upon in the future.
Communing with Suwanpugōto successfully still physically alters the human in the process. The clear sign of this is a pair of horns that will start growing out of their head and become more goat like with age, but there is a subtle transformation as well; Suwanpugōto's chakra alters the chakra of the human body to be much like itself, giving them affinity towards water and earth.
Clan Mure keep Suwanpugōto secret for a reason: They fear that if the wider village knew about them, some of them would attempt to weaponize Suwanpugōto in the manner of the tailed beasts... or worse, wake it up. They don't know what will happen if Suwanpugōto is forcefully awoken from their slumber, but know deep in their soul that it would be Bad.
