I've been sitting on these ideas for a while, and I am debating creating a roleplay out of them! Each of these settings requires about 3-5 players, with me as the GM. Below I have (pretty informally) listed the universes I have come up with! I want to stress the idea that these will be our stories, I want your characters to have unique pasts, presents, and futures that can impact the world. Think of it almost like a DnD game without the gross numbers and stats!
These are my three concepts, and there's so much more to each and every one, but I got tired of typing! If you are interested, please comment below and maybe, just maybe, we can make one of these happen!
CRUCIBLE
Imagine if Dark Souls met Full Metal Alchemist.
Crucible is about a world in shambles. Magic exists only in the form of "Alchemy." However, it is not as complicated as other series present it. Alchemists often have an affinity towards one specific thing, be it the ability to transmute plants to attack for them, or alchemize machinery to create living dolls, being referred to as a “plant alchemist” and “automata alchemist” respectively. Alchemists are born, not created, and the world is not kind to those unfortunate enough to be born with the gift.
It is said they are bad luck, and that misfortune always finds them. The church has tasked itself with hunting any and every alchemist, blaming these beings for the world's suffering. Kingdoms fall, empires topple, and monsters emerge from the unknown.
You have been chosen, or perhaps merely caught within the church's clutches. A new project, their idea of fighting fire with fire. A church-sanctioned alchemist? Deplorable and laughable, the heresy of it all... yet that is your position. A dog collared by a God you likely don't believe in, forced to dance for whatever treat they toss your way.
It is now your job to hunt other alchemists, to stop the wicked creatures that have invaded this world, congratulations!
This is a dark fantasy through and through! It has a simple magic system with a lot of creative freedom. There are many warring factions here, and this is but glimpse of this entire world.
The ouroboros depicts a snake eating its own tail and in a way, that is precisely what our world has done...

HACK
What if Futurama married Star Wars but had an affair with the mailman who knew magic and their uncle was One Piece?
A persons program is unknown to them. Some go their entire lives without ever unlocking it, but some are lucky enough to be given access. A program is an ability that is said to be linked to one's soul, giving a person access to their "soul circuits", granting them an ability that warps reality (i.e., the ability to create fire or water). These people are called "Hackers" through the universe, though various races and planets, based on culture, may call them something completely different.
Perhaps it was a near-death experience, a dog bite, or a discovery that showed your passion in life. There are many ways to become a "Hacker" though oddly enough, people who intentionally try are often unsuccessful. It has been scientifically described as a "right place, right time" situation, a rarity.
Maybe you're a hacker, maybe you aren't. Either way, you work for Spacebound. An intergalactic delivery service that promises to go where no one else dares. Delivering a rare artifact to a war-torn country, or transporting a princess on-the-run back to her kingdom. There are many jobs that could come up, each one more dangerous than the last. Spacebound doesn't do background checks, and your boss could care less about the damage so long as the job gets done, so it's sure to attract a colorful cast of characters.
Even in an ever-expanding galaxy with millions of planets, late-stage capitalism has its faults. Star Dust Industries, a corporation headed by a woman named "Lamia" has stolen many stars from many a sky. The dust collected from these stars powers technology and weapons, allowing them to mimic magic on a lesser scale, akin to dust from RWBY.
I never said I was the best boss in the world now did I? Yes yes... I know that Mars is currently a warzone, but somebody has to deliver the package.

ROYGBIV
Nothing is confirmed, but the bedtime stories go something like this…
Once upon an eon, the Gods, in their celestial wisdom, decided to kick back and watch humanity unfold like a cosmic sitcom. It was like the ultimate reality show, and the Gods were armed with their popcorn, enjoying the peculiar evolution of mundanity.
But one God couldn't bear to see the poor creatures toil in their monochrome existence. Their fortresses were more like cardboard castles, and their idea of a gourmet meal was grilled roots. It was a bummer, really. Watching them struggle with tasks that to him, were mere finger snaps, he decided he had seen enough of the dreariness.
So, against the heavenly office memo, he bestowed upon humanity a gift. The legend tells of an old blind man who, instead of a cane, wielded a list of ludicrous demands and wild favors. Villagers scratching their heads, thinking, "Is this guy for real?" Of course, they played along. Lo and behold, he appeared, giving a thumbs up to the village for completing the ritual. With a wave of his divine hand, the world burst into color – goodbye drab and hello rainbow! And just when everyone thought it couldn't get more whimsical, he dropped the magic bomb, turning mundane into enchanting with a sprinkle of stardust.
Nobody is quite sure what happened after that, or if those events ever happened at all. This is the part where the story varies. The village used their newfound magic to kill the God, or wait, no! They made him their king and he chose to live life as a mortal! Either way, he is the only God still remembered today and many believe the others were purposely forgotten, having turned their back on a world that betrayed them.
His name was Arcus and in some ways, many consider this world to be his.
A world where mages are split into seven categories which determine their abilities. Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Green, Purple, and Violet. A typical fantasy world akin to League of Legends, headed by a guild system and an abusive magic council that will do anything to stay in power! Magic is gained through complicated rituals, and usually have silly consequences.
You are attending Do Rei Mei Magical Academy, a community college that accepts nearly anyone and everyone. Graduation is just around the corner, and you will be put into the arena to showcase what you have learned to hopefully be selected by one of the worlds leading magic organizations! A guild.
Red or blue dear? Oh my... green? Well, I suppose we can make it work! I am merlin the miracle worker after all!
