“Thanks, there is not many poke many Pokémon contests in Alola,” Aura said as the Lucario is excited to see him practicing his routine for the contest.i

"Aura, I'll be performing a kabuki play for my act," Shiranui stated.

Deep in the crown Tundra, Fuyu and Glacé were practicing there own routine before Fuyu stood and chucked as she said "I can sense you there my siblings".

The rest of the Shinobi no Shiki appeared as Haru asked her "Why a pokemon contest as your challenge?". Fuyu though about it before smiling as she said "Because it's different besides you know as well as I do Glacé was never much of a battler, she didn't like them and hates seeing her siblings or friends get hurt, this allow her to excell at something. Plus, Shinranui is associated with the Kimono girls of Johto and there Eeveeloution specialist. Imagine the great things she can accomplished". Haru was silent before Aki spoke up "I think its perfect, Fuyu and Glacé are already amazing performers and Shinranui is already a big wig in contest, he would probably know how to bring out the best potential" he told the group which Natsu agreed with.

Haru didn't seem convinced but end up nodding, she was outnumbered 3 to 1 anyway. "Well, we look forward to your performance today. Show the world just how amazing you and Glacé are" Haru said, before everyone vanished. "Don't let them forget that wooden crown for the statue, otherwise the harvest god won't appear" Glacé reminded Fuyu who nodded.

A small wooden crown would sudden drop infront of Shinranui with a message "Place this crown upon the statue head in the middle of town to reawaken the legendary pokemon Calyrex, the harvest god of this land. Then after our match, seek out the legendary horses Spectrier or Glastrier reuniting Calyrex with his steed. They will lead you to the poucher base in Galar as you need Calyrex at full power to break the illusion that protect the base alongside the three keys myself, Natsu and Aki have. You have two, I am your final obstacle. Then within the depth of that base defeat Haru and mother, to bring Nobunaga ambition to an end in Galar. Jen pets Aura as the Lucario know Shiranui had more expirence but love to dance. Jen feels the crown next to her, “maybe the note will explain about the crown.”

Shiranui read the note out, omitting the final word. He couldn't avoid blushing at being called cutie and seeing a kiss at the end, making him wonder briefly if Fuyu was crushing on him. He mentally checked himself, knowing that as one of the Shinobi no Shiki Fuyu was not above using mind games to put her opponents off their game.

"Jen, Liam, there's no time to lose," Shiranui stated, picking up the crown, "There's a Pokémon to be awakened before I rehearse for my act."

Liam knew it had to be done, but dreaded the thought of returning to the bitter cold.

“I am ready to go,” Jen said as she and Aura got up from the couch. Moana the Arcaine and Kiara the Pyoroar that looks like a normal Pyoroar. Jen know that they are trying to help keep Liam warm. Aura could not help it and dress Moana and Kirara in costumes.

"Then off we go," Shiranui finished before leaving with the crown for the statue.

Beckham had heavy coat on and followed close to his trainer to try and help keep Liam warm. Beckham's heavy coat had a flame motif.

Jen, Aura, Kirara, and Moana follows them to the center of town.

Once the heroes and their Pokémon arrived, Shiranui said to himself, "Here goes nothing." He placed the crown back on the statue and waited with bated breath.

There was the sound of snow crunching in the distance. After a moment, a quadapedial grey Pokemon emerged from the woods.

"Calyrex, the Rider Pokemon. A Psychic and Grass Type. Calyrex is a merciful Pokémon, capable of providing healing and blessings. It reigned over the Galar region in times of yore. At those times, it was known as a king. It has the power to cause hearts to mend and plants to spring forth."

Calyrex looked at Shiranui and made a come-hither motion. "Are you challenging me to a battle?" Shiranui asked. Calyrex got into a boxing stance to confirm that it did. "Very well, let's see how you handle my kingmaker," Shiranui continued, sending out his shiny Aegislash, Yoto.

"Yoto, open with Shadow Claw!" Calyrex's eyes started glowing and Yoto was caught in a telekinetic grip. The Aegislash shifted to Blade Forme and six branch blades sprouted from Yoto's main blade as Yoto broke free from Calyrex's hold and charged. Yoto's attack scored a critical hit. "Finish it off with Shadow Sneak!" Before Calyrex could get another move in, Yoto struck it from its shadow and Calyrex was defeated.

Peony, who had watched the battle was soon possessed by Calyrex. "As you know, I was a king a long time ago. Nowadays, humans see my reign as a fairytale and being separated from my noble steed has diminished my power. Much like the guardians of lands afar, I shall observe the performance you and the winter warrior have planned. Fare thee well," Calyrex said through Peony before releasing Peony from possession.

Jen and her Pokémon watch the battle as Jen sense the mystical aura of Calorex.

Peony looked around confused after being released from the possession. He asked why were all just standing around in the cold.

"Does the name Calyrex ring any bells?" Shiranui answered.

Jen wonders if Penny remembered any memories of Shiranui and Calorex battle.o

"Does the name Calyrex ring any bells?" Shiranui answered.

"I seem to remember hearing the name somewhere..." Peony commented.
