Kiki grins to herself as Avery seems unable to notice her. She shadows him as he organizes the laundry and puts in the first load. As soon as he’s done adding detergent, she jumps on his back. “Boo!” She shouts gleefully before laughing.

A second before Kimiko jumped on Avery's back he felt the tingling on the back of his neck that told him someone was there. Kimiko jumped on his back, shouting boo. Avery jumped and shouted, having half a mind to flip his assailant over on the table, but his wolf was a step ahead of him reminding him that it was their mate on Avery's back.

"Gods above woman! Don't do that." Avery said and squeezed Kimiko's legs. He started the washing machine before adjusting Kimiko on his back and walked into the hallway. "How the hell are you that silent on two feet?"

Kiki grins, resting her head on her arm that’s hanging over his neck. “I guess I’m just that good. That or you were too busy thinking about my lingerie.” She whispers the last part before blowing on Avery’s ear.

“Thanks for not killing me though.” She says in a normal tone, quite enjoying her piggyback ride.

Avery shivered when she blew in his ear. "It's like you want me to loose control," he growled and squeezed Kimiko's legs again.

He walked into the kitchen and plopped Kimiko on the counter top before he turned around. "Mmm, I didn't want to ruin all the progress we made. How are the dishes going? Did I stall long enough so I don't have to do them?" Avery asked, needing to move the conversation forward, so he wasn't thinking about the way she blew on his ear.

Kiki’s face warms as Avery growls before he squeezes her legs. Don’t be lewd, Kiki. Don’t be lewd. She’s placed on the counter and she leans forward towards Avery, her hands gripping on the edge of the counter for stability. She softly laughs at his comment about stalling. “Well, I was letting some of the hand wash dishes soak while wiping down the stove and counters, but I got distracted by someone walking by.” She kicks her feet a little as she watches Avery closely. She hadn’t thought that blowing on his ear would cause such a reaction in him.

Avery narrowed his eyes playfully at her, fully aware of how she leaned closer to him. In the end, Avery broke into a smile took a step back towards Kimiko. "Well, now that I can understand."

Like Kimiko, Avery had appreciated when she walked by him earlier. "Let's get the rest of these dishes finished then. I have a surprise for you upstairs," Avery said.

He leaned in closer like he was going to kiss Kimiko, or brush her hair back, but instead he turned and walked over to the sink to finish the dishes.

Kiki’s about to let her eyes close, waiting for Avery’s lips to press against hers, but he walks away last minute. “Oi, that was quite rude.” She says in a frown, jumping down from the counter. She swipes the dishcloth she had been using and re-wets it so she can go back to cleaning the counters.

"Payback," Avery grinned before he started to wash the dishes that had been left to soak. Thankfully it's quick enough work.

Avery sets the last of the dishes down to drip dry before rinsing the sink and the cloth out. He washed his hands as well to get the feeling of dirty dish water off his hands.

"Alright, upstairs with you, you little sneak."

Kiki sticks her tongue out at him as she flips Avery off. She’s just finished getting all the surfaces clean when he’s done cleaning the remaining dishes. When he tells her to go upstairs, she raises an eyebrow at him and crosses her arms in front of her chest. “I don’t remember giving you permission to order me around.” She’s teasing, but it’s always fun to fake outrage.

Avery slowed, letting Kimiko get a few steps ahead of him before climbing up the steps behind her. He noticed how she started to exaggerate her walk moving up the steps and he determined she had caught him staring at her. Avery whistled appreciatively at the show she gave him.

"You're breaking my heart, girl," he declared, resting a hand over his heart dramatically.

At Avery’s whistle, Kiki blushes, even though she was the one who started giving him a show. At his statement however, she stops to laugh, looking behind her to see Avery’s dramatic response. “Don’t be so obvious and maybe I won’t have to break it.” She teases before she runs up the rest of the stairs and down the hallway.

Avery laughed, and stopped to grab the railing when Kimiko ran to resist the urge to chase after her.

"If I can't obviously check out my girlfriend, then what is the point?" he joked. A swell of pride filled him when he said the word 'girlfriend', just as when Kimiko had called him her boyfriend earlier in the day.

Avery managed to climb the stairs and walk down the hallway without chasing after Kimiko. He walked into the bedroom after she did, waiting for her to figure out her surprise.

Kiki glances between Avery and her bathroom door, getting the hint and walking over to it. “Yes, I did.” She says over her shoulder as she opens the door and peers inside. Laughing, she turns back to look at Avery. “It might take awhile for me to let your wolf comfortably chase me, but on two legs?” A smirk quirks her lips up as she focuses on him and not on wolf chasing. “Nine out of ten times, I’ll want you to chase me and catch me.” She shoots him a wink before going into the bathroom and testing the water with her fingers.

Avery's face softened into a smile from Kimiko's confession. He was glad she explained it to him because that was the soul reason why he didn't chase her. He didn't want to make her nervous or uncomfortable, but two legs was better than four in that situation.

Avery walked across the bedroom and leaned on the doorframe. "And what'll happen when I chase you that one time you don't want to be chased?" Avery asked curiously, his eyes dancing with humor.
