I wanted to gauge the overall interest in doing a pro wrestling themed RP here, in the style of a classic e-fed. Some of you may have participated in e-feds before but if not I'll give a basic overview here since it works a bit differently than a typical play-by-post RP game. Each player takes on the role of 1-2 wrestlers in the promotion, and one person (myself in this case) takes on the role of the booker. The booker sets the matches for the upcoming show, and then the players cut promos against one another to hype up those matches. The promo RPs have a word limit, in this case 1000 words, and are judged to determine the winner of each match. Sometimes, depending on the storyline, the winner can be agreed upon by all parties involved ahead of time, in order to forward the narrative. One the promos have all been posted and judged, then it's my job to actually write the matches and post the show. A lineup of matches for the next show is posted, and the cycle continues.

This type of game requires a decent number of committed players in order to work. In order to be as accommodating as possible, I think that a bi-weekly or monthly show cycle would be the best option. Here are the rules I had in mind:

- Players may control 1-2 wrestlers. They may be completely separate, occasional allies/partners, or a dedicated tag team.
- No intergender wrestling matches
- Shows will be bi-weekly during tournaments, and monthly outside of that.
- For singles matches, each wrestler may post 1 RP with a 1000 word limit.
- For tag team matches, each team member may post 1 RP with a 750 word limit, or the team may post 1 joint RP with a 1500 word limit.
- Please get your RPs posted on time. It's a more casual schedule, but we still want to put out the shows in a consistent manner. When the match card for a show is posted, the RP deadline will be as well. If there is a major issue and you cannot make the deadline, send me a message as soon as possible.
- It is my commitment as the booker and match writer to get shows posted a week after RPs have closed. As the promotion expands, I will definitely bring extra match writers on board.

So if this is something you're interested in, post a message below, and maybe throw out some ideas for different wrestlers you might want to play. Also, I'm open to different flavors of pro wrestling as well. We can be a major American style promotion like WWE and AEW, a smaller independent promotion like TNA, or a Japanese promotion like NJPW. Let me know what you think!

@Bonesaw McGraw

I'm a sucker for wrasslin RPs, so I'm going to throw my hat into the ring. I'd also be down for the promotion to being a mix of WWE and WCW, with a lot of backstage politics to make things more dramatic. I have an idea of a character who is a mix of Kevin Sullivan, Sting, and Mic Foley.

Always down for some good ol' fashioned rasslin'! (It's still real to me, dammit!)

Questions: will there be an underlying storyline beyond the wrestling show, or will our characters exist purely within the constraints of the show? And will our characters share the ring with real wrestlers, original NPCs, or only other PCs?

@Ocio Your characters would exist purely within the confines of the show, treated as if wrestling was fully real. All kayfabe, not shoot.

Right. In that case I would certainly suggest coming up with a general "feel" for the show, as well as a direction for the main storyline, prior to asking for character submissions. As it stands, I'm not particularly interested in cutting promos in a vacuum tbh.
