Background:
Deep within the lush jungles of the Emerald Isles that dot the approach to the human colony of New Haven, live a particular and queer type of goblinoid, known to humans as monkey goblins; Sharkface is one such goblin. Monkey goblins in general don’t bear much love for the human race, who they see as invaders in their lands and unwelcome due to their exploitation of natural resources previously at their disposal. So oftentimes when human ships and other vessels pass the shallows along the Verdant Straits, overlooked by gigantic weeping willows that peer over the shoreline of their small island betraying their curiosity, monkey goblins will climb this tall and perilous branches and assault ships in order to commandeer their products, gaining a reputation as fearsome and capable pirates in the region.

Sharkface and a set of allies set about to do precisely this, when they fell upon Capt. Davvie Jones’ ship. Sharkface remembers the high paced action; running between people’s legs, swinging wildly from the rigging, while parrying sword strikes left, right, and center, only to be backed up to the prow of the ship and notice that his party members were dead and the Emerald Isles were too far to swim back to safely. “I give up” Sharkface announced, throwing his scimitar at the captain’s feet. Perhaps this human would be merciful...?

General Description:
Sharkface is a monkey goblin from the Emerald Isles, off the coast of the colony of New Haven along the coastline of the Summer Ocean. Sharkface is a male goblin, of low rank and little has little reason to find a way back home. During his time in the Emerald Isles, Sharkface made a living pirating and assaulting human and halfling vessels making their way to New Haven (even monkey goblins knew not to assault elven ships), and although his name was selected at birth due to the sharpness of his teeth, his eagerness and proficiency to swim back to shore even after failed ship assaults became a badge of honor for the shaman who named him, who retroactively claimed he could tell Sharkface would be a strong swimmer from day one.

Sharkface has small, beady eyes with red irises, a pug nose, a large mouth with a gleaming row of sharp teeth, a small lining of tan to brown bristled fur over his skin (which is off-green, giving him a sickly appearance for human sensibilities). Sharkface also sports a prehensile tail, capable of manipulating items (read: sword) and holding his weight while hanging, Monkey goblins traditionally don’t bother with clothes, but Sharkface has taken to wearing tighty whities ever since joining this new crew of pirates.

Personal Goal: Sharkface dreams of buying his own ship some day, obtaining a large treasure trove, and bringing it back to the Emerald Isles, where he will take his place as the monkey goblins’ rightful Pirate King!
