Welcome to the OOC for Entomagical!
If you decide to join this rp, you'll be transported to a world of magic, savagery, and wonder!
The world of Insecterra is in a time of turmoil; to the south, The Legions of Formica have declared war, pushing to seize more territory for themselves, and crush all who oppose them underfoot!
The neighboring kingdoms haven't known anything worse than the occasional attacks of "monsters"; not just large, wild and viscious creatures, but Insecterrans with wicked hearts, and blood-thirsty appetites that strike fear even into the hearts of barbarians like the Wasp Tribes! Even a soldier of Formica hesitates to enter a place where Spiders are said to haunt...
Insecterra looks to The North, hoping somehow the Papillon Royal Family can do something to restore peace- alas, they're beside themselves; it is difficult to negotiate peace with an opponent whose heart is set on war.
And yet, be it by the powers of Pollen or Poison, strange aliens from another world have appeared! These strangers are not like us; they are frail, and weak, and yet within them is great power, for they can master the Insectalismans! With their strength and bravery, the people of Insecterra have hope for victory, and freedom!
I'm not going to go into too much detail for character sheets, just going to say that I'll only have so many players as humans who got Isekai'd, and improvisation in world building would be very amusing to watch :P
Insecterrans, at a glance; the average individual has a basic human shape; an egg shaped head atop an S shaped spine supported by 2 legs. They have 4 arms, and only 3 clawed digits on their hands and feet. They grow hair on top of their heads like humans, albeit with hairlines a bit higher. Antennae are always somewhere above the eyes, and reflect the type of insect they have the strongest connection to. The eyes are superficially similar to humans, complete with eyelids, but the eyes themselves resemble the compound eyes we associate with insects. Those of an insect type that are predators or omnivores have vampire-like fangs in addition to normal teeth, and can often be a bit more monstrous (insect-like) in appearance. Many will have 1 or 2 additional features that further pronounce their insect type, such as insect wings.
Pollen, or Poison? this is basically the "Good magic/Bad magic" dichotomy; both magics are capable of a variety of things, Pollen usually positive, and Poison usually negative.
Insectalismans are rare; they're palm sized stone medallions, and most people you meet aren't going to have one. Those that possess one can, for a short period of time, turn into a giant, full insect (with Insecterrans, typically the insect they align with)! Humans, however, if they come into possession of an insectalisman, can use this ability to transform into any insect, so long as they know it's name!
with that all out of the way, relevant information provided, I'm not going to demand a standardized CS, just remember that good characters have flaws/weaknesses to overcome, struggles to endure, and room for growth! As a player character, you're already going to be exceptional individuals, so just don't overdo it, ok?
