Water, Earth, Fire, Air. Within each of these four nations, creatures live that can create and manipulate their respective element, only being limited by the strength of their physical bodies.
Water. The Merfolk have webbed hands and feet with gills. As they are known for being very adaptive and physically fit, they can swim really swiftly. Even though they generally don't care about the other nations and avoid interacting with them, they are able to use both of their legs to walk on. Usually, a team of mermaids and mermen leaves waters to get resources that aren't available in the water. Members of this team can easily switch between swimming and walking, whereas the others need time to adjust.
Earth. The Werewolves are known for being very strong and aggressive. The thing is: the creatures themselves are saddened by this reality, the reality that they scare the others. Werewolves would rather have peace between nations and connect with the others. However, never before did they try to break their reputation and convince the other nations of their good-hearted nature. The others being scared of them makes it easy for the Werewolves to always get their way and have the upperhand in battle.
Fire. These people, being named Demons, are usually not able to transform, but they do have physical aspects such as horns or a tail. The extent to which they look like textbook demons is different for each individual. Apart from their looks, they also share the ability to control fire with the stereotypical demons from fantasy stories. Others do not fear them, but they do not trust them either. Demons are generally known as criminals. They don't like having this reputation, but they aren't goinf to reveal the truth either. They want the other nations to find out themselves how wrong they actually are about Demons.
Air. Fairies and Angels live together on floating islands. Fairies are only able to control wind, whereas Angels can also change the temperature of the air and the elements it exists out of. Angels are even able to take away the oxygen from the air within a specific region. Both Fairies and Angels are known for being weak and naive. The others don't care about them, don't fear them and even laugh at them. However, no one outside the Air nation is aware about the Angels' ability to take away oxygen.
Earth and Fire were never able to get along well. There were a lot of wars, because of which people were constantly fearing for their lives. Fairies and Angels weren't even able to get off the islands. They grew tired of never going to the mainland and decided to finally create peace between the other nations. Their words convinced the nations to live together in harmony.
However, this only worked out for a while. People quickly returned to their old habits, but this time all nations were at war with each other. Luckily, not everyone agreed with this approach. Some people from different nations started to live together, eventually creating the new species Demigods. Demigods are born out of more than one nation. Their parents are either pureblooded or mixes from different nations themselves. In theory, a child from parents who are both a mix could end up being a combination from all four nations with the ability to bend all four elements.
It's currently autumn with heath waves throughout the Fire nation and on Summer Island in the Air nation. It's casually warm in the Water nation from the First Pool to the left to the Second Pool in the North, the Third Pool to the South and even the Fourth Pool more to the right. It's rather cold around the Fifth Pool and beyond. Spring Island from the Air nation, the neutral territory and the Swamp of the Earth nation are casually warm as well. The rest of the Earth nation, as well as Autumn Island and Winter Island from the Air nation, are rather cold. The dangerous territory behind Earth's mountains has been described as ice cold with frequent storms.
On top of the highest mountain in the Earth nation, a young, short girl could be seen with wavy, white hair easily reaching her lower back. A soft smile appeared on her glowing face. Beautiful white wings danced with the cold wind. Her voice could be heard as a soft whisper from an unfamiliar source.
