It took him a minute to wrap his arms around her but none the less had so once his mind caught up to what was happening. It saddened him further to see Ana in tears. A member of the pack was hurt. But there wasn't much he could do but just be there and let her cry. "I am sure it will be realized soon enough."

Alex looked to Duke Vale for the final verdict for Zoey's answer. It was nice to know that Zoey would be safe and maybe. Just maybe that it it went well Zoey had a home for good.

Vale nodded and moved to take Zoey’s hand. “Yes…you will have a home with us. You will be safe and cared for…” Zoey’s eyes filled with tears and said “and…will I feel…loved again?” Vale froze, stunned by her words.

Ana clung to his shirt, shaking as she said “am I…truly so different that I won’t be seen…as a loyal servant of the night…”

Alex felt saddened by the statement, almost wanting to know who would deprive a child of love at the orphanage she had been at. She nudged the Duke with her elbow to his shoulder lightly. Hoping to encourage him to answer.

Damien rubbed her back gently hoping to console her. "Y I understand are loyal and I'm sure many know that especially when they recognized you in the War. If they don't that's their fault. Your dedication is boundless from what I've seen this far." 'Compared to me who left for freedom and not wanting to be under my clans thumb....' he thought knowing what he did could have had him kicked out for all he knew.

Alex almost wanted to cry she thought it was s sweet sight to see. She backed away till she was next to Dante and wiped away her forming tears.

Damien gives a goofy smile after Ana thanked him. He was doing right to a pack mate a friend. "It's alright. There's no need to apologize."

Dante smiled and held out a handkerchief for her and said “I knew my brother would be the hero…he always was…” he turned and said “let’s go find Ana and Damien. I think they had a question for you two”

Ana looked up at him and felt the pull to him again. She blushed and looked down, her hand moving to her chest. Why did that keep happening in moments like this?

Alex took the hankerchief with a thanks and wiped her tears before folding it neatly and handing back to Dante. "Alright. Let's be off."

Damien could feel his cheek up, not sure why he felt this draw but it made him feel all aloof and carefree. He moved his hand to the back of his neck and scratched lightly and feeling silly. But in a good way. "I uh....I hope you know that I think your the most loyal person I know." Looking away a bit. With the blush still on his cheeks.

Ana laughed softly as Dante stood up. “Well no time to waste. While the information is being gathered we will need to resupply on…well everything. And pack more suitable clothing as well. Shall we get to work?”
