APPEARENCE
A misty bloom of darkness shivers within the dimly lit hallway. First it meshes and merges, then it dances and wiggles and for a brief moment the untrained eye can perceive the distinct visage of a hidden stranger, readying a strike. Just as you start to process your fight or flight, the shadows blur until they fade back into the elemental shade of creaks, his large red smile appearing cheerfully as she goes about their duties.
Like all curses, creaks looks like living shadow. His...or her body widening and thinning, expanding and retracting at random. When his true, central self is perceivable her darkness and shape is only liken to the most chilling abyssal blackness seen in one dreams, but when weak and hiding away, he can dim to a dusty like vapor. The red eyes beam like headlights yet strangely are not visible from a distance. Despite their shifting form, Creaks is always at around 4 foot 5.
Changes uniforms regularly or goes "ghost" as they call it.
PRESENCE
Always here, always loyal, always serving. The almost social curse is actively trying to get everything done, there is little time when they aren't doing something. The real problem is most don't KNOW what creaks is doing. He is undoubtedly busy but in many cases when she does something, it can seem inconsequential and a waste of effort. Be this rearranging the kitchen several time in a night, or sneaking into another monsters room only to move a single picture to the opposite end of the wall as they sleep.
In many cases, this little curse seems to almost go out of their way to make others paranoid and confused to their intentions and seems to get a keen, singular interest in a random employee at a time. Some argue that creaks is the spirit of a stalker and still keeps up the habit they had before employment - or death - prone to doing sometimes antagonistic plans and antics, such as letting in certain small level monsters or spreading rumors. They are as much known for their eagerness to help and interact, as they are to cause mischief.
Fond of the master and a bit of a suck up.

A complete understanding of monstrous diet and recipes accrued over many years of service.
An understanding of poison making and basic witchery brews.
Probably on par with a 4 star chef when it comes to human diets and needs.
Curses are entities generated by the the land of Dark. Their exact nature is not known and they rarely deviate from a location or individual once they get stuck on them. Curses have a wide array of abilities but are always on the lesser end. This can range from an understanding of lesser magics on the low spectrum, to flight or causing nightmares.
Curse can innately make themselves less noticeable to the mind of others when they soften into their most dust like shape. They can fling darkness at things made up of their own essence at the cost of energy. This darkness acts like a thick oil that causes the entity to become tainted by evil energies momentarily and slowed in thought. If an entity is knocked out, they enter a comatose like state where they experience night terrors about the castle itself. The shots are weak. Tainted entities experience darker thoughts and emotions for a while.
Creaks can cause a sense of paranoia in others and after seeing their red eyes, they leave a sense of being watched for a few hours. While this lingers, creak knows the general details of events that occurred to that person despite their presence or state. This means they know who they talked to but the words are half remembered, as if in a dream. They can blend into the walls, floors and the ceiling as a shadow ink stain and defy gravity, moving at much faster speeds.
Can read lesser magic spells and ancient languages.
