Hyakkaryōran, an oriental idiomatic phrase that roughly reflects the state of one's society. A double-edged sword that mirrors the dichotomy between misfortunes and fortunes, redefined by multiple meanings to ones make believe reality, which is equivocal. Depending on your perception, whose to say that Konohagakure has reached an 'all time high'?

Rikudo Sennin, the Sage of Six Paths...Pein

Six years flew since Konoha was blown into smithereens, to the everyman, this was merely an insubordination from Amegakure, a failed uprising by a political idealist, Nagato of Ame. Many saw him for the terrorist he is, leader of a cultcriminal group, the Akatsuki, claiming to illuminate the world through arms race, destabilization of governments and bring about anew from the ashes, remolding the Shinobi System into the New World Order. The divided majority, however, especially those worship sects of religious groups like the Ninshu Church, believed that Nagato, was correct & that the Hyūga saw it as sign from Kaguya, to rekindle Ninshu back to the Lands of Fire.

Opinions were massively divided even today

The Lands of Fire, Konohagakure, Yumegakure, Otogakure and even Amegakure, which was pardoned for its crimes & reinstated back to the United Fire Republic, gathered at this very day of reckoning, to mourn for those who died at the center & pray that their souls may pass into the afterlife. Furthermore, it's not just people from said village territorial denominations like the four villages, specific groups of people like the Kiri Refugees, pay respects, Iron Mediators were among them but from afar, ensuring that this day go well. Whereas, the Kumo Volunteers loomed in the corner, one of them, sending a report regarding the situation to their Raikage & the rest, mourned. The ceremony was solemn, people wore all black, this was an event that's commemorated every year, people still haven't moved on and would last six days.

Shinobi is a profession where people mature faster as lives are cut short, the public unease in the Land of Fire remains festering since the Raikou had set up establishments across the country and in Konoha.

Who are the Raikou? The Raikou are a delegation of diplomats coming from the Land of Lightning. They are the Kumo Volunteers that stayed in Konoha since the last Great Shinobi War. Under the guise of helping Konoha to recover from its economic crisis, they work for the Raikage, who demilitarized Konoha Mainland and only made its protectors, the Police Force. Furthermore, its citizens has been fear stricken by Yokai Attack in broad daylight and at night.

Safety and reassurance has been more of a division than conquer, lots intended to leave Konoha for what its become. Even if there were said to be talented individuals, who rose to ranks of the Konoha 12, village people found scrutiny towards their remergence. The Konoha 12 is the national champions of the Land of Fire since its founding haydays.

Today, not only commemorated those who died against Pein but also the rising of the New Konoha 12.
The Konoha 12 gathered at the Hokage Rock Office as they had quite the meaningful therapeutic recollection of during Pein's Assault, 6-yrs ago.

"I look forward for a bright future, the 12 of you are more than just the village's pillars of hope, we carry each other's burdens and when we go out there to brighten up the mood of the villagers, the Press are bound to ask tons of questions, be careful of what you say."

Lady Shikaue sighed in deep breaths, out of the desperation that she selected quite the controversial group. Two from the Hyūga, with one of them having disdain for Kumo, two being Kiri refugees, followed by an Uzumaki Freeman, then Tsuruwa, the current squad leader of K12, who's mocked for his lack of ability to apprehend Uchiha Yusuke and Inori, who don't look like a figure that puts you at ease.

Shikaue added. "There's much to be done, after this meet and greet parade to reassure the people of a better Konoha, later tonight there will be an auspicious meeting at the Hokage Mansion, we have foreign visitors for a cultural exchange symposium."
Of all the controversial citizens in Hinoa, Yusuke's the most prominent.

No Shinobi in the Land of Fire can hold the candle against the owner of the Kaminarimon Company's genius, billionaire, playboy and ninja himself. There's a lot of underlying issues with him, so many rumors, which earned him a mixed reputation and one of it, he rarely attends meetings and let his wives do the talking/PR. Rumor has it, he got six mistresses and two children.

Yusuke is considered as the Godfather Tycoon of Konoha, whether that's true or not, what is evident is that he's the richest person in all Land of Fire.

It seemed like the Lady Hokage only allied with Yusuke because no other man in the village, exceeds him in foreign relations and businness.

"I'll try not to offend people but we all know that goes out of rails right; Tsuruwa, Lady Hokage? Hiring a Businessman, let alone a Loansharker like me sure is a good idea, I'm sure all parties concern, all filed cases against me are dropped but if not, I'll be damn sure to expose every red tape Konoha has." Yusuke winked at his wives for trolling the Hokage, the Police Lieutenant and everyone else in the room.

No one knows that the Tycoon before them is the leader of Uruha.

"Quit your games, the visitors are the Kazekage, Spring Feudal Lord, Kaneki Corporation CEO from Ame and the Sorakage of the Land of Sky."

Akane sighed and rolled her eyes, before elbowing her 'husband', "Be more respectful to Hokage-sama," she said, before turning to Shikaue, "You'd have to forgive him, Hokage-sama. This man has sharp business sense, but Rikudo-sama is fair and does not give him much aptitude in much else, such as tact."

She then bowed, apologizing on behalf of Yusuke, after some choice scathing words. Thus, fulfilling her 'role' as the 'responsible wife' who keeps her flighty eccentric successful businessman husband in check.

Indeed, such was the role 'Uchiha' Akane was playing. That of a former secretary to the owner of the Kaminarimon Company, who the playboy then 'seduced' into his harem. Nevertheless, she remained active as his secretary and was renowned by Yusuke's business partner as the one who kept the eccentric playboy in check to be reasonable, playing the 'straight man' or rather 'straight woman' to his antics.

The truth, was, of course, wholly different. Yuki Akane, originally from Kiri, was a member of the now-defunct Root black ops unit. After the death of the former Sandaime, Danzo, she was integrated into the normal ANBU corps. Of course, within this room, only Yusuke, the rest of his 'wives', and the Hokage knew of her being ANBU Fukuro's true identity.

Even beyond that, she was part of Uruha. A clandestine faction that sought a revolution to the current world order. While the Hokage was aware of their activity, she opted to feign ignorance, instead seeking how best to use Uruha. And in turn, those in Uruha pretended they did not know the Hokage had caught on.

It was a game of 'I know that you know that I know that you know' played with the adage of 'keep your friends close, and enemy closer'.

Either way, currently the interest of the Hokage was still aligned.

Turning to the Konoha 12, she added, "Ah, this is the first time we've met, right? My name is Uchiha Akane. I am one of this idiot's wives, though as of the moment, I'm speaking in my role as secretary to the CEO of the Kaminarimon Company. Hokage-sama had asked us for 'advice' in welcoming the foreign dignitaries for this evening's soiree. Many of them are potential clients, or in the case of Kazekage-sama, an ally of Konoha. Your role would be...somewhat similar to that of the Chuunin Exam, essentially an exhibit of Konoha's strength to our dignitaries tonight. Of course, we will not have you fight or anything of the sort. But, they will definitely have questions, so I hope all of you start preparing so you can represent Konoha well, tonight. Oh, and perhaps prepare some 'party tricks', that is to say, ninjutsu or techniques that would be safe but look impressive should one of our dignitaries ask you to. Any questions, so far?"

'Fucking hell, I hate this...'

Tsuruwa had a lot on his mind. When doesn't he? Two major clans pestering him for marriage arrangements and petty disputes, policework stacking on top of his desk, official state visits, meetings, agreements, disputes, compromises, you name it. So much was on his plate, in fact, that he was tempted to abstain from this meeting. If it weren't for the personal request of the Lady Hokage, he wouldn't have shown up. But now that he has, he's faced with an almost insurmountable problem.

Surrounding him are his K12. The best of the best (supposedly) that the Land of Fire had to offer. In honestly, he was surprised the Lady Hogake was able to scrounge up so much raw talent. Though he did question the choices of personalities. Uzumaki's? Volunteers? Hell, even Kumo's and Hyuga's. As if he had enough people putting targets on his back... Well, at least he was chosen to lead them. He held faith that he could make the K12 into a great fighting force.

And a great fighting force they'd need to be. One of the Land of Fire's greatest enemies, Yusuke, was sitting right across from him. Talking nonchalantly, as if they haven't traded blows in the past. No one knows the extent of this prick's evil. Oh, how Tsuruwa wishes he could trap him in a prison of wood and kill him on the spot. But that would be to easy... It would make him just like Yusuke. No, if he had to fight his brother, it would be at Tsuruwa's own game. Beaurocracy, boardrooms, and backstabbing deals.

Taking a deep breath and mentally going over what to say, Tsuruwa spoke up. "With all do respect, Lady Hokage, I still believe it to be in our best interest to distance ourselves from the Kaminarion Company. Diplomatic missions and matters of state are best left to the public offices, not the private eye." It took all his willpower to be composed and elegant in his speech. But his Sharingan was keeping track of his brother. Even in a boardroom, filled with powerful people on his side, it's best Tsuruwa air's on the side of caution.

"Of course, if Mr. Yusuke and Mrs. Akane wish to lend their opinions and thoughts on certain matters of state, they are more than welcome to do so."
