The Outbreak Begins:

In the year 1941, the world is already consumed by the chaos of World War II. Armies march, cities burn, and nations struggle for dominance. But in the midst of this global conflict, an insidious new terror emerges. The outbreak begins in Eastern Europe, in the midst of the intense battles between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. The first reports come in from the frontlines, strange and unsettling. Soldiers speak of enemy combatants who don’t stay dead after being shot. Corpses rise again, relentless in their hunger. At first, the high command dismisses these reports, assuming they’re the result of battlefield madness. But the truth is far worse than anyone could imagine. Soon, the virus spreads, turning the once thriving cities into nightmarish landscapes of flesh-hungry monsters.

The Infection Spreads:

Within months, the virus has spread across the continent like wildfire. Entire cities fall in days. The once-proud capital of Paris is abandoned and overrun by the undead, its streets filled with the stench of death and decay. Even the great German war machine is halted in its tracks as waves of the undead swarm the Eastern Front. The Soviet Union, already reeling from its war with Germany, is thrown into chaos as the plague reaches Moscow. Desperation becomes the order of the day as entire populations fight for survival in a world where both the living and the dead are enemies.

Nations on the Brink:

In the United States, the government scrambles to control the outbreak as it spreads across the Atlantic. New York is hit first, and then Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and Chicago. What was once a proud nation is now fragmented. The military, stretched thin from fighting a war on multiple fronts, now faces an entirely new type of enemy—one that doesn’t respect borders. The survivors in the cities are forced to fight for their lives, banding together in ever-shrinking pockets of humanity, while those outside of the cities struggle to avoid becoming infected. The American government continues its operations in secrecy, trying to find a solution while keeping the situation under wraps.

The German Experimentation:

In Germany, the Nazis see the outbreak as an opportunity, not a curse. The SS begins conducting horrific experiments on the undead, capturing and studying them to try to find a way to weaponize the plague. Their goal: create a controllable undead army to overwhelm their enemies. They succeed in turning certain soldiers into something that blurs the line between the living and the dead. These "super-zombies" are stronger, faster, and more intelligent than the average reanimated corpse. The Nazis believe that with these abominations at their disposal, they can crush their enemies, both human and undead alike.

The Soviet Resistance:

On the Eastern Front, Soviet forces are forced into a brutal two-front war. The undead ravage the cities of the USSR, and the Red Army struggles to hold its ground against the Nazis while simultaneously fending off the zombie hordes. The Soviet government issues decrees that any soldier, worker, or civilian found in possession of firearms must report to the government, but even the military’s vast resources are insufficient. The Red Army, disorganized and fractured, resorts to guerilla tactics and scavenging, striking against both the undead and the German occupiers.

The Fall of Great Britain:

On the island nation of Great Britain, the situation is no better. The British military, having already endured constant air raids and naval battles with the Axis powers, now faces a new, more insidious threat. While the English Channel offers a degree of protection from the undead, it is only a matter of time before the virus spreads to the mainland. London, Manchester, and Birmingham fall one by one as the living fight the undead and each other. The British people, once proud and resilient, are forced into hiding in underground bunkers, isolated from the world above.

The Siege of Cities:

most major cities in Europe, the United States, and parts of the Soviet Union have fallen to the undead. The few surviving bastions of humanity are in a constant state of siege, struggling to hold their ground. The survivors now know that their chances of survival are slim unless they adapt to this new reality. People are forced to leave their homes and create fortified safe zones, relying on military units, militias, and civilians to hold back the tide of death. What remains of civilization is shattered into isolated pockets, with survivors becoming suspicious and hostile toward one another as resources dwindle.

The Road to Despair:

Surviving outside of these fortified zones is a grim reality. People who have fled the cities find themselves in a world where food is scarce, and danger lurks around every corner. The countryside has become a wasteland, where zombies roam freely, and desperate survivors scavenge whatever they can. Bandit groups, rogue militias, and self-proclaimed warlords now roam the land, preying on the weak. Trust is a commodity more valuable than gold, and the bonds of humanity seem to fade as survival becomes the sole focus.

A Dying World:

Global communications have broken down. News of the apocalypse is sporadic, and survivors are left to piece together what they can from fragmented broadcasts and rumors. The war between the Axis and Allies has almost entirely ceased, as the world focuses on combating the undead. But it’s clear: the zombies are unstoppable. Cities are lost. Nations are collapsing. What is left of civilization seems to be clinging to life by a thread. As the dead continue to rise, it becomes painfully clear that humanity is losing the war—not to a foreign power, but to itself.

Heroes or Monsters?:

Amidst the desolation, a new type of person emerges—those who would have been considered heroes before the outbreak, now navigating a morally grey world where the lines between right and wrong are blurred. Some seek to protect the few survivors left, forming resistance groups to fight against both the undead and hostile militias. Others have succumbed to the chaos, becoming ruthless bandits or mercenaries, selling their services to the highest bidder, or simply taking what they can from anyone too weak to fight back. In this new world, it is unclear who the true monsters are—the undead or the living.
