I'm looking for a long term partner or possibly even two who are well versed in Warhammer 40k lore, and maybe even make this into an original free to read novel depending on how well it goes.

The general plot of this roleplay is that a long forgotten underground facility the size of a city located out in the ash Wastes has come back online, and a new Abhuman faction called the Avvim steps out onto the surface for the first time. The Avvim's backstory is that they were an independent super soldier project created in an attempt to replace the Men of Iron when Necromunda was first settled, but the facility was abandoned when the Technobility of the Araneus Continuity took over the planet, and the Avvim were placed into stasis before they could be field tested. Now they're on the surface of Necromunda, and have no idea what's out there, but very quickly learn to keep a low profile so the Imperium doesn't come down on their heads. What follows is all kinds of wacky shenanigans as they launch operations to get their hands on new technologies, and try to figure out a way to get off the planet, and go somewhere where the Imperium can't find them.

The Avvim themselves are humans who've been genetically overhauled to be both much better fighters, and able to survive in harsh environments far more easily than normal humans. It would take too long to list all the improvements that were made, but the most important ones are that the Avvim are two to three times more physically capable than a baseline human in all regards, live up to two hundred years, can regenerate lost limbs, heal twice as fast, can clot gaping wounds in just a few minutes, absorb information four times more quickly while growing up, and are all minor psychic blanks because witches were very much a thing at that time. The technology they have access to is roughly on par with the Imperium, though they lack all the more exotic stuff that's out there, but make up for it by understanding how the technology they do have actually works, and they've got a matter printing device that uses power field technology to turn rocks into whatever materials they need.

So yeah, this would be a great way to introduce a newcomer to the setting if it ever is made into a proper story, and introduces a new lore friends faction as well.

Two things.

1) I think you should drop the blank aspect. There are a couple of reasons, but the lore one would be that research into blanks simply wouldn’t have developed enough for a successful or stable attempt at gene modification before the project was shut down. Genetically modification to create blanks is necron level tech.

2) What is the balance of the Avvim? Because if you look at abhuman species in setting, while they are better than baseline humanity at certain things, it comes at the cost of something else. Ogryn and Golith are both big, strong and tough, but at the cost of being less dexterous and intelligent. The more you tailor a species towards something, the less able it is somewhere else.

Yeah, this sounds like a Mary Sue faction.

A little bit.

But truthfully, rather then just reject it outright... I'm happy to sit down and try to make it work. Yes it might require some alterations, but the end result can be a better story.

Yeah I kinda scrapped this idea shortly after I came up with it, and started over completely from scratch. The end result was a Rimworld Crossover, more specifically the Rich Explorer Start, where a wealthy big game hunter from a high tech Glitterworld somehow winds up on Necromunda in the 41st millennium rather than the lawless Outer Rim planet he intended. Of course, he's not defenceless, and came prepared with a few months of food, some weapons, and several pieces of technology that will absolutely get him killed if anyone found out about them. He also did some training, and installed several gene mods before heading off. So he's also a lot more dangerous than a normal human, but not immune to bullets, and currently doesn't have any answers to psychic powers.

Its basically an ilsekai anime but in Warhammer 40k.

Fair enough. Sounds like fun.

What gene mods did he have?

The character I've come up with is called Zain Vandran, and I've ultimately settled with making him one of the countless custom Xenohuman races I've created over the years. I also had a bunch of mods installed when I made this race, but I didn't use any of the stupidly overpowered game breaking stuff, and made a relatively simple, and street legal, according to the game anyways, warrior/survivor faction called the Gittite.

The list of genes goes as follows: Tough Skin, Crushing Strength, Grudgy, Tactless, Long Living, Innate Bloodlust, Deadly Raid Presence, Strong Stomach, Strong immunity, Fast Wound Healing, Superclotting, Fast Growing, Genetic Stability, Cold Tolerant, Heat Tolerant, Tox Resistance, Aggressive, Agile Fighter, Unruly, Robust, Early Maturity, Multiple Offspring, High Libido, Fertile, Straight, Dominant Genes, Pale Skin, Abrasive, Dark Vision, and Super Endurance. Powerful, but far from invincible, and with some noteworthy drawbacks.

As for this characters starting supplies, I'm going to go with mostly standard stuff one would expect, along with a few unique additions like a man portable military grade supercomputer filled with whatever knowledge could be downloaded from public servers, a high tech nanotech recycler, and a really advanced man portable 3D printer.

Edit: Yeah, I'm starting to think I should have this guy start on a feudal world or something similar since I want him to get off at some point.

Edit 2: I'm back from work, and I've properly thought out Zain Vandran's profile, the origins of the Gittite, and his equipment load out.

Zain Vandran is a Gittite born, and raised on the high tech Glitterworld of Ashod. He is six, and a half feet tall, 187 years old, looks a lot like Van pelt from Jumanji 1995, but is in the prime of his life thanks to Ashods rejuvenation technology, and looks more jacked than Rambo. He wears a suit of tan coloured flak armour with a pith helmet, and a dark red cape. He was originally the host of his own very successful hunting show that can only be described as a deranged cross between The Crocodile Hunter and FPS Russia. Unfortunately his show was cancelled after its 12th season, and he was left with a vast amount of wealth, but not much to do with it. That was until he decided to do what numerous groups of Gittite had done before him, and travel to distant worlds on the Rim to relive the glory days of back when Ashod was just another lawless wasteland filled with monsters to fight. But he wasn't stupid about it, and took various training courses on wasteland survival, and might have slightly abused the skilltrainer technology to ensure the lessons stuck. He also purchased all of the necessary supplies he'd need, and got himself an utterly epic refurbished orbit to surface drop pod that would act as his base of operations once he landed.

The Gittite themselves were super soldiers created specifically to thrive in the harsh radiation blasted wastelands of Ashod, and eliminate the various warring factions to pave the way for the worlds recolonization, and development into something resembling civilization. Despite the colonial expedition forces just barely managing to keep the Gittite under control, they wiped out all of the other factions without much trouble, allowing Ashod to be resettled, and eventually made into a Glitterworld. Unfortunately the Gittite were still around in large numbers, and found themselves discontent with the whole 'world peace' thing, not to mention the complete lack of monsters to kill. Many grew fed up with the way things were, and wound up travelling to lawless worlds on the Rim in search of purpose, usually becoming famed adventurers as a result.

The drop pod Zain is using is actually an updated version of the orbit-to-surface military bases his ancestors used when they first landed on Ashod. This 110 meter tall craft has 3D fabricators, defensive turrets, a miniature water treatment facility, crew quarters, cargo bays, storage tanks, a high end supercomputer, a nanotech recycler, and all of the other essentials Zain would need to start his own country. Its almost like a suped up version of the MCV from Command and Conquer.
