Prime was slammed to the snowy ground, the crown of his skull crashing against a tree. Darkstar and Archangel had him pinned, and once again they raised their hands with a charge, aiming at his chest. His cybernetic eye charged bright red, as did his human one. Unleashing the concussive blasts, the beams bended and twisted within a straight path, aimed at the two bearing down on him. With a direct hit, there'd be fractures, possibly broken bones. A glancing hit would result in bruises. Whatever the case, he unleashed the beams out.

Grant suddenly found himself swept up in his sister's hug. She had not commented on, or seemed to notice his missing eye. Regardless, he did not need to care at the moment. Eden had gone to hell, and for him to achieve revenge, to honor his brother's memory, he had to rejoin the Titans. Leaving his apartment and straddling his motorcycle....thinking back to how things came to be.

One month ago...

My name is Grant Alexander Kain. For years, I've spilled blood in the name of my father, believing myself to be alone and an only child. For years I have grown cold, forcing myself to become distant, detached, longing for the one thing I've never had.

Family.

That all changed one month ago. I discovered I had a brother, a sister. I joined their team, the Teen Titans. For once in my life, I had friends, family. I began to open up, become less distant. I sometimes think that if things stayed the way they were, I'd've become what Mason envisioned for me to be: a hero.

But I can't continue down that path; not since Mason's death. A homicidal cyborg burst into my brother's home, decimated his houseguests, and broke his back, all in the name of sending a message. Mason's spine was broken, and he was hospitalized. The doctors said he'd never walk again. Things were looking bleak, but while we were hunting down the cyborg calling himself Prime, another injustice was done to my family. A man calling himself Jilocasin broke into his room, and killed him.

This news shattered the team. I can't speak of the others, but it pierced my soul in a way I've never felt. I had been given my family, only to lose my only brother. The rage…there are no words to describe it. But revenge isn't why I do this, why I hunt down the man who killed my brother. It's the only way I know how to honor his memory.

My eye is the price I've paid to obtain that honor, my sight purged by an arrow.

His name is Aaron Waller, but he calls himself IronSight. A blind archer who considers himself a closer brother to Mason than me, he thinks that it should be HIS job to seek the retribution and honor I have sacrificed months of my life to achieve. It all happened in a town called Greenville, North Carolina.....

PRESENT DAY

Grant's motorcycle passed a city limits sign welcoming him to Eden. Ironic, considering the circumstances. The sky had become a gaping hole from which dragons flowed, and an army of shadow demons fought with the draconian foes, each army looking to purge the other and further their master's goals. In the midst of all this chaos, the average man was caught in the crossfire, some slaughtered by the demons; others by sword and talon. Grant unsheathed his sword with one hand, keeping the cycle level, while maintaining his current speed. The momentum began to build up, the adrenaline began to flow, and within moments, his first enemy came into view. It was a shadow demon, spewing fire from its mouth, and spiting all those within its limited attention field. He sliced it in half, and leapt from the cycle, using the forward motion and momentum to spring on the shoulders of a dragon, sinking the sword hilt deep through the skull. He slid down the back, slicing the dragon open like a skinned animal. Not even stopping, he bisected another shadow demon behind him. He had barely been on the field three minutes, but already that many enemies were dead. He turned to the rest of the enemies, and pulled his hood up.

Death closed his eyes for a brief moment and a small area of the desert began to shift and shake for a brief moment as shadowy tendrils reached down from a small portal above the ground. A small portion of the ground seemed to vanish and a small chest was seen. As the tendrils reached down and grabbed the chest it emitted a flash of light and the tendrils instantly turned to dust. War grinned as more tendrils appeared and grabbed the chest but this time there was no flash of light.

The tendrils delivered the chest to War who gripped it with both hands and the tendrils vanished. Death turned to War. "And now it's time for us to leave. Before we pay another visit to Eden we're going to go and deal with this threat. The Titans are most likely the ones who have done this."

"Second city?"

"Second city."

Another portal appeared and War and Death stepped through it with the chest in hand.

Archangel had the homicidal machine down, his arm launched back to throw a devastating punch forward, he stopped momentarily when he saw Prime's eyes shift color. The crimson hue was a new thing to him completely, how did his enemy gain this power. He then quickly realized what the beams meant, recalling Darkstar's moments of anger. "Get back!" He yelled out before forcefully throwing Darkstar out of the way and not a moment too late. As he sent her flying he was bombarded by both beams, getting incapacitated on contact.

Ace jumped from platform to platform, slid under low set openings and and climbed walls occasionally shooting a card at one of many targets, set up along the Sentinel endurance course, with a small kinetic explosion. He had no connections here yet and no one had really taken the time to get to know him yet, which gave him a lot of free time. He spent most of it here in the training courses pushing himself to be faster, and go longer. Really this amounted to nothing in his mind cuz it got him no closer to anyone, and just made him feel like more of a stranger here. He reached the end of the course and made his way to a bench where his towel and water was
"When are they going to give me a chance?" He whispered aloud taking a seat. He brought the bottle of water to his mouth to drink. 'Why don't they trust me yet?' He got up from the bench and took a quck shower before heading out of the gym making his way to the kitchen to get a bite to eat.

v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^~+~Daniel~+~^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v
As he flew on his giant flying sword shaped ride he felt sudden weight has been added as he continued to telepathically fly towards his destination. Looking behind him as he flew Daniel noticed a large Avian like being but seeing as though it appeared to be green and made of plant like materials Daniel knew it was safe to assume it was Druid. With a smile as he turned forward again Daniel began to speak while he flew. "Hey Druid, nice of you to drop by." Daniel never got to truly meet or know druid other than maybe a few short meet and greets, especially with how things went after the ultimate separation of the team but he felt stronger, faster and better than ever before in comparison to how weak he was during the mana fight. Even still he doubted himself further. Even so it wasn't long before he finally reached the destination in which he would meet Sinna, already seeing the Girl Daniel stopped his freshly made "vehicle" and Stepped off, once both him and Druid were off he unsummoned it as he looked at Sinna. "So, you are alive after all 'Angel'... Tell me why we're here and NOT saving the city that's getting destroyed?"

v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^~+~Sinna~+~^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v

Sinna continued to fly towards the destination that she told the Titans to meet her in. The City was in danger but she needs to know who is still available and who isn't so a quick meeting and plan couldn't hurt more than what was already done. She was the first one at her destination and shortly after she got there she could see Daniel and some of the others get there too.

Once Daniel came he shockingly didn't do his usual "trick" to show off his own personal "skills" this time, but instead he just simply got off and waited for some other being (Druid) to get off as well before he unsummoned his mythril ride. Once he was off Sinna listened to his quick question and with a snappy retort Sinna responded," Because, I need to know who is and who isn't available. I don't know where all of the old group is and I don't care, I know this city better than anyone else and I'll admit that things aren't as bad as you may believe. Now..."

Sinna Drew a diamond with all corners rounded using her magic and the dirt on the ground and once everyone was there she started to explain hastefully and seriously. "There is several Defense organizations in this city, one of the top major ones is known as 'Gold Corp.' as are there three nearby 'Grand Army' Bases and a highly updated and well-funded secondary police known as 'Paladins' *whisper to the side*'both of which also work under Gold Corp.' *Shakes her head before continuing* None of these have any concern or care for us so work with them if possible." Sinna then continued to draw everything she was describing and placed small circles in the diamond she drew as she continued. "Gold Corp. Will already have a safe perimeter up and would also be sending out its own 'Protective' Services here, here, and here to create a barrier and a safe zone. Daniel, you are to fight them off here, Druid I want you here and creating a path for civilians to get to safety, Nightingale, I'll need you in the side, on the roofs spotting and protecting the turrets here, here and here. Shadow you are I have a very special job for you that'll be discussed privately. Tyran & Steel, you both will also be clearing and patrolling here, to here, a direct line of two streets, this gives some civilians a direct line to run into safety Mina, Sirius and Vir..." Sinna stopped as she realized the three names she called and soon shook her head as she caught he mistake. Some of her best friends were no longer there, just those she called out already were left. As the red-hooded girl shook her head she closed her eyes and took a breath before opening her eyes again to look at her team. "Okay, is that understood everyone? With how things are we should have very minimal casualties and the entire city should be cleared in less than an hour. Top priority is not to engage into combat, it is to protect civilians until they reach all safe zones... Understood?"

Once everyone responded Sinna Smiled as she cried out "Titans, GO!" and soon the grouped departed, leaving only Rachel left. Sinna slowly walked to Rachel and hugged her while holding her hand. "Rachel, I need you to do me a big favor, the owner of Gold Corp. will be out and in the city to get to his house, He'll most likely be taking this route... Please... Make sure that man gets home safely. Okay? Once that's done most civilians should be safe and then you can start sniping from his house's roof top. It's not that large of a building but it does give a lot of clear shots, you can literally see the other side of the city from there. I'll also be seeing you there, Okay?"

As Sinna directed Rachel the red hooded girl drew some lines on her hand drawn map and without another word Sinna kissed Rachel goodbye, closing her eyes as she continued to hold Rachel's hand before letting go and flying off again. This time with far greater purpose, her sister would be leaving the house to be able to broadcast what's happening and since her sister was already a reckless teenager Sinna had to make sure she's safe. The thoughts of her sister getting hurt, if not killed was one that was clouding Sinna's mind every second of the flight as the girl clenched her fists, half way from breaking into tears that the safest place there is was just attacked and that her sister could be in danger. Sinna completely ignored the battleground beneath her and what was happening as she continued to focus on her direction as she flew towards her old home... A place she once thought she'd never want to see again.

v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^~+~Daniel~+~^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v

After listening to Sinna's plan, as soon as Daniel saw his part he summoned his "Sword-bike" again but soon after he noticed that Druid was also not too far from his destination as well. While he played complete offence she was going to be the complete defense for a good portion of the city and so he waited on the bike for her again. "Sounds like you need a ride Druid." was the only thing Daniel said, signaling that he was willing to take her to their destination.

Daniel waited for her to get on and no matter what, if she did or didn't he flew to his position after a short 2 minute wait.

v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^~+~SpellThief~+~^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v

Spellthief walked into the gym as he noticed Ace, the guy who had quite the power was speaking to himself. A cloud of fog flooded the room relatively quickly as the Mysterious mystical man walked into the room. He could hear Ace's whispers of doubt to himself but noticed that Ace didn't notice him and instead took a quick shower. By the wait Spellthief canceled his fog spell and begun to practice some of his own skills as well, starting with picking the pockets of his own companion for fun. With a chuckle the masked individual casted his "shroud" spell on himself and turned invisible as he walked silently into the showers, using all he knew to stay silent in a place like this and soon he reached the kid's clothes and quickly took out all the cards and knives except for one knife and one card. Once he had his 'Friend's' items, Spellthief moved out of the showers and his the objects somewhere inside the superhero training Gym before filling it with fog again.

Once out Spellthief took out his bow and was now ready for some real practice with his teammate. As soon as Ace was out of the showers and ready Spellthief tapped Ace's shoulder before flipping while doing a backwards jump, landing on his right hand before pushing himself up and away from Ace with a light chuckle. Spellthief used his magic to write inside the fog, a talent he used for fun to leave silent messages for those in his domain. In the fog Ace should be able to see a message of thick white streaks in the fog that writes,
"Tick tock, says the clock.
Do not daunt, fight for what you want!
Take a bow, the real test starts now,
hehehehe"

With that said the message quickly faded away as Spellthief took out a blunted arrow and shot it at Ace's leg, his arrows shouldn't damage or cut into anything like they normally would but instead his set of weaponry Spellthief is using training arrows that are heavily blunted for his comrades, just to make sure he didn't hurt anyone... This was training after all. After shooting his arrow Spellthief tried to stealthily walk within the thick fog to get behind Ace but didn't attack until he saw how Ace responds. Spellthief was more interested in Ace than the rest of his teammates and knew that they didn't pay much mind to Ace, and since John was also hardly ever seen unless it was by Shadowhawk or Ironsight, he too was nothing but a myth to the team and the only member that is known to exist but also not known as well.

v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^~+~Steven E. Tudor~+~^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v

It was half an hour ago when Seven E. Tudor was last in his own office apartment and now he was out of the "Safe Zone" of his private headquarters and now on the public streets to get home and reach his daughter... and probably ground her again after all of this for her reckless behavior. Gun out the entire streets were now a battlefield as his bodyguards and himself were stealthily running to his home, which was no easy feat since most of the area was open with green trees and grass everywhere, so once they were stuck they had to wait for Gold Corp’s own mech forces to arrive and distract the enemy.

The group was in one of the very few alleyways of the city as they could see six shadowy demons eating a corpse of one sad, poor individual. The leading guard signaled everyone to lay on the wall by them and take cover as the group prepared to shoot the demons with their silenced weapons. As soon as the first shot was fired the shadow creatures quickly turned towards the group and started to sprint, their weapons seemed to do little bit of damage to them but nothing too major though with a stroke of luck great breath of fire engulfed three out of the six and soon the remaining shadow creatures turned their attention to the dragon and jumped at it in a hasty attack, able to climb it and scratch it with their sharp claws, even so one by one the dragon managed to pull them off and crush them as it then turned its attention to the small group of humans that was in front of it. After looking at the group, almost as though it was scanning them the Dragon of pure flaming energy turned around and started to walk away from the group as though they were none of its concern.

Out of shock the men all looked at each other at what just happened before the leader started to speak again while running into the street. "Move, move, move!!!" and soon everyone followed the man out and into the street, only to see the carnage of a complete battlefield between both the Dragons and the shadow creatures, for every one dragon there was 12 demons, most were attacking the dragons but some were just extras, hunting for new prey. As the men ran into the street in formation the shadow creatures that were free started to attack as soon as they noticed them, which lucky for the small group they were attacking only one to two at a time, which made them easier kills.

v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^~+~Sally R. Tudor~+~^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v

Almost a half hour passed since the beginning of the attack and Sally didn't even notice, instead she was on her radio station like normal. "Come on guys, we're all human so how about some good fucking music while I actually BE a human being for a good five. After all people it's not like it'll be the end of the world or anything, am I right? In any case this is RMS, and I'm saying it's time to fucking feast people! And with a good feast I LOVE to listen to some nice, good death metal! And, here, we, GO!"

As soon as Sally finished she took her phone with her and put herself on her own station to listen to her music with her headphones on as she walked out of her station room, jumping up and down while bobbing her head, mouthing each word from what most deem as a "vulgar" song without any regret, hesitation or remorse as she jumped into the kitchen and quickly spent the next five minutes before her song ended and she could hear her own recording bring up the next song as the girl continued to cook herself a bacon, egg, cheese sandwich for her lunch. Once done she had enough time to jump back into her station room and start speaking again though on her way back she noticed the sudden change of weather in comparison to this morning. "huh... I thought our stupid weather man was said it was..." before she could finish her thought a Dragon of pure fire and energy covered with eight to nine shadow creatures landed on the bulletproof glass window. Sally gave off a quick shriek as she looked down to see a large scale battle between the two beings down below as the building's protective systems were slowly but surely taking them all down one by one.

Taking a quick bite out of her sandwich Sally ran back into her station room and cut off the music before she began to speak, now more excited than before. "This is RMS speaking and by god people, there is a fucking WAR going on in Eden. That's right and I'm in the very center of this shit! I BET you guys that the Titans will all be here before the sentinels, since they are too busy paining each other's fingernails to look good for the pictures in SC. But that is neither here nor there. THIS... is actual news people, and you know what? Who the fuck CARES what the rules, logic or commonsense says? in a time like this the I think it's best if I broadcast this shit LIVE on the radio before some news fool starts talking about shit they don't know about on TV. Alright here we go!" With that said Sally started to grab a small camcorder that is connected to her station and quickly she ran out of her room and out into the hallway before going down the stairs to get a good look at what's happening by the fourth or fifth floor.

v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^~+~Jilocasin & Malchior~+~^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v
Jilocasin looked at Malchior again before commanding his sidekick yet again, “Bring me the chest. Our enemy’s power is strong and it is certain that we shall be fighting him momentarily.” With a nod Malchior ran quickly to grab a small chest and under it he brought a book. Jilocasin didn’t take no heed or caution from this act of Malchior’s, already knowing that Malchior wouldn’t risk such an act, especially against Jilocasin.

With that said Jilocasin created another portal and slowly he walked into it, as did Malchior followed and the two both knew that on the other side battle would await, one way or another.

v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^~+~Eden's Status~+~^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v

1) Eden’s police force and the Grand Army is currently attacking the Shadow creatures on the east, northwest and south west with little prevail.
2) Gold Corp successfully holds a 15x15x500 perimeter around their building and is slowly but surely pushing the shadow creatures and the attacking dragons back. But alone it’ll take months to a year at this pace.
3) The Dragons are focusing only on the shadow creatures and their numbers are still relatively matched with these shadow creatures… They are currently at 89.75% compared to when they first started
4) The Shadow creatures are weaker than the dragons but they also greatly outnumber them 20 to 1. They are currently at 90.37% compared to when they first started.
5) Titans so far saved a few people but more help is needed… EVERYWHERE

(BGM: A Little Faster - There for Tomorrow)

Rachel managed a small smile as Sinna asked her for a favour and kissed her goodbye before she left. The girl turned around to give her parting words. “Well, I can't say no if you ask me like that, can I?” She replied with a wink before engaging her suit's stealth technology and vanishing on the spot. At the back of her mind, however, she was wondering just why Sinna would personally ask her to protect this one man. No doubt the CEO of Gold Corp was an important person, but there was no reason why he would was important enough that only Shadow was sent to protect him, without letting the rest of the team know who he was... unless...

Rachel pushed the thought out of her mind. It didn't matter if Sinna had family here, it only made it all the more important for her to ensure they made it to safety. She could not fail Sinna the way she had failed her parents and herself. The heroine soon found herself meeting the man face to face as he stepped out of his office building with bodyguards in tow, trying to get to their car. Finding a good opportunity to break stealth, Rachel whipped out her submachine gun and let loose on the shadows nearby, decimating them and clearing a path for him. “I'll see you to safety, sir.” The man simply nodded and that was all the permission she needed as she jumped onto the car roof and magnetised her boots, keeping herself firmly attached to the vehicle while it moved.

Each time one of the shadows closed in, Rachel put a quick burst of fire into it for its trouble. Many were busy fighting the dragons or targeting other civilians, but she could only focus on so many targets at one time. The rest of the people on the street, she'd leave to the rest of the Titans. Shadow cursed as she loaded her last clip into the gun and sprayed the horde ahead of the vehicles. It was empty in ten bursts. Fortunately for her, the car turned into the property right at the moment.

Demagnetising her boots, she jumped off the car and landed deftly, whipping out her staff and quickly splitting it in two, the energy blades at each end springing out as she engaged the shadows in melee, using the gate as a choke point. Every stroke was a testament to her lethal efficiency, a stark difference from two months ago when she had only just barely survived the battle with her parents. She was Shadow - a proper heroine now, not some naive vigilante - and she would make sure the shadows Spinning on her feet, she ducked beneath the swiping claws of one of the shadows and cut through it and its comrades on either side, using her own momentum. Bullets whistled over her head and downed the shadows directly behind the three she had just destroyed, and Shadow took it as her cue to move out of there and get to the roof.

“This is Shadow.” Rachel briefed Sinna through a private channel so the other Titans would not have a clue, as she suspected the mage might want. “Mr Tudor is safe. Is he the only family you have in the city?” She didn't wait for an answer to the question, but instead teleported herself onto the roof and pulled out her sniper rifle next. Sinna had been correct about the roof being an excellent vantage point. Rachel could see most of the streets dead ahead. Even if looking through a scope narrowed her vision, she was able to quickly identify and prioritise her targets – shadows attacking civilians were taken down first until the poor souls on the street could make it to shelter or behind the lines of police officers trying to contain the situation... was that a mech?

“I've got a mech in the city... You guys have any ideas who that is?” Shadow asked quickly to inform the whole team. “It's not labelled as police or any organisation's property... but it seems to be on our side!”
(BGM: The Crush - Miracle of Sound)

Lily did a quick scan of the surroundings the moment Knight landed in the city. The different groups trying to organise and mount a defense of the city were filling her speakers with chatter, but she got the gist of the situation. It seemed as if the police were the ones most in need of help, so that was where she sent her mech. Behind the line of police cars, the men in blue were trying their best to fire on the shadows while letting the civilians get behind them. It wasn't easy, since the shadows were both fast and behind the people they were trying to protect. Unfortunately for the police they didn't have the elevation to get a proper angle to fire on the shadows without endangering the civilians.

That was why Lily made sure all her mechs had some flight capability. Time to shine! She thought to herself as she hit the play button and music started playing. The roar of Knight's jets could be heard well before it arrived, hovering over the heads of the policemen. In order to prevent them from mistaking her for another threat, Lily made sure to fire at the shadows the moment she appeared. A few of them raised their guns and aimed at her but got the point quickly enough before they tried shooting her down. Not that their pistols and shotguns would do much against her armour, anyway.

The minigun mounted on Knight's shoulder roared to life the moment Lily had cleared the last of the civilians and landed, giving the shadows something else to target. It swiveled from left to right to left again, and the shadows quick dispersed in a cloud of smoke. “The Titans have arrived in the city.” Her AI, Sebastian, announced. Lily made a quick note of it and hoped the teen heroes had enough sense to assist the rest of the city without any protection. For now, she focused her full attention on thinning out the enemies in the area and helping the police consolidate their perimeter, her blood starting to rush through her veins heatedly from the excitement and thrill of being in her first battle. The music blasting in the cockpit only served to add to the feeling as she fired and decimated the shadows trying to swarm her.

I wanna hear the roaring sound
When I walk I will shake the ground
Don't make me miss the rush
Take me to the crush

The laser rifle in Knight's hand soon joined in the fire as Lily set the mingun to acquire any targets she wasn't actively engaging on her own. There were dragons swarming the shadows and fighting them as well, but there was no telling whose side they were on. If someone could summon that many dragons at once, they sure weren't a force to be trifled with, and it could simply be a distraction. There was no way Lily was going to find out who had summoned any time soon, and it was distracting her from her efforts, so she paid them no heed, only shooting down the few that got too close for comfort.

She didn't notice when the sniper fire started, but it seemed one of the Titans was in the area and helping to clear the streets for the civilians. Lily was glad for the help. The sniper's firing from my three 'o' clock. Lily quickly calculated the sniper's position so she could figure out where to train her fire without endangering the shooter helping her. The shadows seemed to be backing off the police and civilians in the area for the moment, so Lily took a brief moment to ensure her mech didn't take too much damage or use up too much power or ammunition. Her laser rifle would last a good while but she had already depleted half of her minigun's rounds. She decided to conserve the latter in case there were any last minute surprises.
(BGM: This Will Be The Day - RWBY Vol. 1 OST by Jeff and Casey Williams)

“Leave it to me.” Hikari replied to Sinna as she took to the roofs of the surrounding buildings and used her grappling arrows and agility to get to her target destination as quickly as possible. She found the turrets without trouble and took position on the roof. “I'm in position!” She announced to the team, taking a moment to scan the area and consolidate the enemy movements and concentration around the city. No point sending her teammates to anywhere that was already well defended or empty of their enemy.

The shadows seemed to be everywhere and fighting both the dragons and everyone else in the city. Well, if the dragons weren't going to attack any humans it would make their jobs easier. “Gold Corp building seems to be holding down the fort with its security forces... the police and Grand Army are fighting in the east, northwest and southwest but they look like they need a little help.” Nightingale called out through the comms as she loosed her first arrow and down a shadow that got too close to one of the turrets. There were a lot of the enemy and she could only pick off so many at once without damaging the turrets. It was starting to remind her of her fight with the manas...

No, I will not fail here! Hikari steeled her will as she picked up the pace, continuously firing and picking off her targets while seizing any opportunity to use her own magic arrows to take out as many of the shadows in one shot as she could,, at least without damaging the turrets she was covering. It didn't take long for her to find a rhythm and calculate the shots more efficiently, leaving her room to continue scanning her surroundings and keeping the team informed on any developments.

“There's a bunch of civilians pinned down in the bank on sixth avenue!” She called out after spotted a group of shadows swarming the place after a flash of someone's coat disappeared behind the entrance. She was too far away to do any good for them even without the responsibility of keeping the turrets safe from attack. Hopefully one of the Titans could jump in.

“I'm on it.” A familiar voice replied that wasn't there earlier. Yan was back.
(BGM: What We Need is a Hero - Beowulf OST)

After the battle with the manas, Yan had gone underground to train and lick her wounds. Years of serving as personal plaything to the leader of a human trafficking ring had proved detrimental to the development of her powers. Powerful as she was by mortal standards, she wasn't using her full potential as a demon. The quickest way for her to unleash her full power was to defeat other demons and absorb them into herself, so for the past two months she had been hunting down occult groups and tracking down lesser demons to slay and build her power.

It was by pure coincidence that her latest mark had brought her to Eden. In fact, Yan had just finished off her opponent when the troubles started. While assimilating her conquest's power and replenishing her own magic, Yan was useless in a fight. Fortunately for her, one of her own acolytes was nearby and ready to serve. Some of the followers and worshippers of the demons she defeated and devoured had converted to her cause. While she sent a few to establish a few temporary safe zones for the citizens to hide in until the battle was over, she grabbed her closest acolyte into a deserted corner to had her way with the human girl until her own energy was replenished through their rutting and by drinking some of the acolyte's blood.

She had just gotten dressed in her battle regalia when her comms buzzed to life and the familiar voices of her teammates rang out. They were here and it seemed today was the day the gang was reunited and would make their comeback. It seemed they were already getting into position to assist the defense of the city. When Nightingale alerted the team to the group in the bank, Yan took the chance to spring into action. She was closest and already in gear, so it took only half a minute for her to fly herself to the area and pour her magic into the dragon pendant around her neck.

Her silver familiar came to life and grew the size of a bus, taking flight down the street and raining black dragonfire on the shadows, drawing their attention to the caster. Yan laughed as they rushed her only to be sucked into her own growing shadow. “Shadows? I was born of this! I am mistress of the dark! You want to kill me?” She laughed, filling her power growing with each shadow she devoured. “You're just food.”

JINX APPEARS ON THE SCENE

Jinx slid her bike to a stop dropped the kick stand, removed her helmet and shock her hot pink hair loose all in what seemed one motion. Her skin tight riding leathers almost seemed to glow so vibrant were the colors. She'd heard about this incursion of strange beings on the radio while she'd been out riding and had raced towards the city at well over 180 mph.
She gazed at the scene before her seeing the chaos an calamity that it wrought upon the city.
Shadows nearby rushed towards her hungry to attack. Most would have been afraid but Jinx simply smiled a frightening feral smile.
"It's going to so much fun playing with you guys" she says with a giggle
As they draw closer she lifts both hands and emits a wide beam dose of misfortune. It slows but doesn't stop them and she only seems to smile even more evilly.
"Υφαίνουν το σχέδιο, το υφαίνουν κλειστή στροφή διαθήκες τους να μου τη δύναμη" she says in an old an nearly forgotten tongue as energy flows from her hands and eyes
((*Weave the pattern, weave it tight bend their wills to my might*))
Few knew that she was more than just a Jinx that she also was a Sorceress of no small talent.. Those shadow creatures caught in her dark magic immediately went insane and turned on their own kind
Any who might have been near her would have noted a graying of her skin and an empathic aura of fear, Jinx was a sinister figure as she strolled casually forwards into the darkness created by the shadow creatures.
Her foes began launching attack after attack at her only to fall prey to her sorceress power where upon they went mad and attacked their own. Each attack did not leave their mistress unscathed but slowly turned her skin an unnatural ash gray and her eyes a baleful yellow.
Internally she fought another battle as her darker soul began to awaken and urge her to join her foes making them her dark servants. It took all her will now to not fall to the curse of her ancestor Pandora.
"Εκάτης, που αφαιρεί ακούσει λόγος της κόρης σας και τα αποδέχονται ως κρέας για τα σκυλιά σας.
Προστατέψτε με εκτεταμένες ένα ως φυλάω τα σταυροδρόμι ανάμεσα στους δύο κόσμους.
Δώσε μου δύναμη του εχθρού μου που μπορώ να σφραγίσει η παραβίαση ακόμη και θα πρέπει να απαιτούν από την ψυχή μου"
says Jinx as she lifts her arms to the side so that her body forms a cross.
Slowly she is enveloped by her own power of probability corruption an drifts into the air beginning to spin.
Her rotation increases in speed drawing shadow creatures towards her which are broken apart like fragile tissue paper dolls.
Jinx's mouth opens and she swallows the torn remnants of the shadow beings like a turbine does loose articles on a jet way.
She gives no thought to how dangerous her present course is and how absorbing the creatures could corrupt her soul forcing her to become an evil of equal weight to all she is consuming. She will not allow another city to suffer while she can do at least one heroic thing. She saw and remembers the destruction of Second City and how because she hesitated it fell "Not This Time" she thinks as her soul grows colder an colder with each passing second

Eden

More and more of the Shadow Creatures were being wiped out by the combined forces allied against them and they were beginning to notice what was happening to them. It was then that the majority of them that were standing by the corpse of someone who had been killed and a dark energy seemed to emit from them for a moment and it would hit a body. The bodies were being enveloped by darkness and dark energy began to crawl over the body, slowly the bodies were becoming darker and darker and more shadowy like until they looked exactly like the shadow creatures that had killed them.

More and more shadow creatures that had once been the bodies of innocent civilians rose up and began to continue the slaughter of Eden.

Skies above Second City

Death could sense that his creatures were being attacked but he didn't concern himself with them. He could sense the massive aura of power tracking him and he grinned in anticipation of the fight to come. But he looked over at War and nodded once as he pointed down at Second City. The two knew what opportunity that now had. The majority of the Titans were now in Eden leaving the city mostly undefended. But the city would come later. Something else required their attention.

"I know you work with the Titans fool. Face me if you dare." He growled to himself

Titan's Mansion

In the room that Viran rested in, there was no sound but the sound of the machines monitoring his vitals. But for a brief moment there was a barely noticeable trickle of wind as a small portal made of dark magical energy seemed to appear out of nowhere at the end of the room. The portal grew bigger and bigger until it was big enough for a fully grown Valkorian to step though. Shadow creatures began to pour through the portal in small numbers surrounding War as he stepped through the portal and grinned.

He looked down at the unconscious Viran and smiled. "I was a part of your mind once. Did you really think Death and I wouldn't take advantage of what you knew before I left?" He chuckled maliciously as both of his hands began to glow with barely contained power and he raised his arms above Viran, preparing to impale him through the heart.

Drakel said Spellthief walked into the gym as he noticed Ace, the guy who had quite the power was speaking to himself.

While making his way out of the gym Ace was stopped by a thick fog he remembered one of the people here used quite frequently. 'What's his name again...Spell Seeker, no... Spell Thief, that's right' His thought was broken by a tapping on his shoulder. he turned to see what it was about but only saw a message written in the fog that filled the room. Ace chuckled after reading it and asked "What is this? I just want to go eat some- Aah!" he knelt down in pain grabbing his knee. On the ground was an arrow, blunted, that belonged to Spell Thief. "Oh, so it's a game?" He said grabbing the arrow and charging it as he stood. He thought a moment before reacting. 'I don't know this guy, but he doesn't know me either... let just play this by the book and see how he moves. The arrow was glinting a dark pink like the reflection of water as he turned quickly and threw like a dart through the fog behind him. He charged it enough to give it the speed and force of how it was shot at him. The he immediately jumped to his left and back before crouching low and listening for any sound after the arrow. Where are you? he thought looking around the darkened, fog filled room.

When the ground shook compellingly, the shadow creatures had toppled over within the depths of this destruction. The Atlantean stood tall as the water erupted from the holes in the street. He used this to swiftly move the water underneath the many civillians, washing them all around the city and to safe places so the shadow creatures could not take hold of them. His sword in his right hand had had come to bend and stretch outward in the katana-blade formation. A blue light erupted from the sword itself, the bent middle glowing with power.

Water swirled from the depths of his blade and came around his arm as a gauntlet. The vision splitting as the sword cut through the many shadow creatures with ease. His bloodlust was not quenched in thirst when he continued slashing through the unearthly creatures.

"And now look here, we have some kind of new superhero around. His abilities, impressive."

"Sir, please, I'd think it'd be best if you not get so close to the action.. don't you think?"

"I'm trying, Bob, its not working!"

The helicopter was spiraling out of control as a group of shadow creatures whiplashed a mist of complete darkness onto its chopper-blades. The mist seeped also into the controls, rendering their lives to be lived further on to a one percent. That one percentage would be of Gill payed attention to this, but he was busy slashing through the other shadow creatures. The chopper descended at godspeed, and a head was turned. Afterimages were seen behind him as the world seemed to slow. The heart beating.. Bump Bump. Gill traveled, breaking the ground as his sword was sent into the air. The blade seeming to have a mind of its own, ripping through the shadowy forms of evil..

Whilst this happened, the ground was hit by the heels of his feet, and he was spiraling in the air, turning as the helicopter descended. The faces of fear within the confines of the helicopter soon turned to surprise when a loud 'BUMP' was heard, and they had stopped. Underneath them, Gill stood upon a large pillar of manipulated water, he had frozen it underneath himself. He was holding the large hunk of metal upon his shoulders, his fingers were latching on and cutting through the helicopter's blades to hold it still. Loud screeching sounds coming out from the depths of the metal that was about to break apart, steam rising as the mists of the shadowy creatures still rose. His Mediterranean-blue latched onto the pilot's own.

[b]Get.. Out..[b]

Gill's fingers taped the window, breaking it. A scream of fear had come from the pilot and the passenger as he tore the door open, along with the metal underneath him. Underneath him, the shadow creatures were batting, hacking away at the ice. He shared the same fear of the two humans, now. Realizing this when the ice had slumped over to the right side with a loud 'CRACK'. His vision had began to blur, holding this helicopter upon his shoulders. Gill grabbed the pilot's shirt collar with his right hand, tossing him roughly into the air. At the same time as he ascended with the utmost power of fear turning over his will, he also tossed the passenger. The ice cracking under him, falling.

This Atlantean turned in the air, the ice cracking and melting down its atoms. The water caught him, and accelerated in a medium sized tidal wave that grasped the two men, letting them slide as the water splashed onto the ground, letting them land onto their butts in softness. Now his sore body was laying against the ground, watching the creatures move around him and unsheathe shadowy weapons of darkness

Grant

The day passed as more and more enemies fell to his blade. It was swift, clean work. But if killing was what he came here to do, he'd had more than his fill; these things weren't truly alive anyway. He had to find the Titans. To put his plan into motion, he needed to rejoin his friends.

As he passed a cracked mirror, Grant paused. His missing eye, hidden beneath its eyepatch stared back at him beneath his hood. How was he going to explain this to them, to Sable? Grant pulled the hood down, staring at his face, much of which was hidden beneath a mask that went from the bridge of his nose to the base of his neck, disappearing into his hooded tactical vest. His arms were bare from shoulder to fingertip. The costume change was drastic from his days of full armor.

Grant pulled the hood up, leaving his sword behind. He had two guns and a combat knife to rely on, plus his extensive training. Plus, the sheath was too much weight for the task ahead. Breaking into a full sprint, he ran for five blocks, dodging dragons embroiled with their shadowy enemies.

When he finally did stop, Grant had found the Titans. Or, one of them, at least. Rachel was there, atop a building, pinning shadows down while a mech did grunt work. Grant didn't smile at the sight of the girl he considered to be his best friend, nor could he afford to, with the war zone in front of him. He suspected she went by a different name now, with her suit change. That was fine; he had changed so much since the last time they met. For one thing, he didn't go by Ravager anymore, nor did he go by Grant on missions either. Wraith was his code name now, and as he sprinted across, keeping himself hidden from Rachel's scope, Grant leapt inside the building, making his way to the top.

At the top he lowered the hood and slipped the mask down but did not remove the eyepatch. One hand was on his gun, however, in case he startled her. "Hello, Rachel. It's been a while."

Tyran and Steel were a few miles away from the mansion when Tyran's eye's flashed once and he looked over at Steel with a confused expression on his face. "The mansion security has been breached. Sensors are picking up what appear to be the same things attacking the city known as Eden. Triangulating where exactly in the mansion it is now..."

Tyran's eyes began to glow as he attempted to link up with the Mansion's security system, succeeding after a few moments. He began to go through the security monitors, going through the images at amazing speed.

He looked over at Steel with an expression of shock and fear. "Confirmed: The mansion has been breached by shadow entities and the entity known as "War." Location: floor three, section five."

Steel looked over at him in shock and fear. "That's the room Viran's in!"

Tyran was already on it as he opened communication lines to each of the Titan's communicators. "Attention all Titans! The Mansion has been breached! I repeat, the Mansion has been breached! Entities similar to the ones attacking Eden have breached the Mansion along with the entity known as War!" All available information indicates that Viran is the target.

Without another word, Tyran and Steel turned back and headed back towards the mansion.

A blaze of hot pink energy, like a shooting star, shot through the atmosphere with a loud boom. It was growing brighter, the closer it got to the earth. And then suddenly it changed course, shooting across the sky, blazing with such odd light that people actually stopped to stare. Then it shot downwards, heading down to the city. Confused and scared people continued to scream and run away. But with a loud crack and earth thundering boom, it landed in the middle of the street. There, crouched low like a cat who'd just landed on its feet, was a Tamaranian. Standing up slowly, she put her hands on her hips and surveyed the area around her.

A hulking and large Native American male was the first to greet her. "You heard the call, Miss Dawnfire?" his voice rumbled. She nodded curtly. "You go to the mansion, I'll head to where the other trouble is. Be safe, My Sister." He did a sort of salute and she mimicked it, before she shot off back into the sky towards the Titans' mansion. The huge warrior of a male charged off in the other direction to deal with the other trouble that had been roused up.

_________

Dawnfire floated above the mansion, surveying where the main threat might be. She shot down sending a massive blazing hot pink star bolt right into the back of War. Letting out an animalistic screeching war cry, she charged straight, giving him one inhuman punch to the center of his back. Standing before the enemy she growled. Baring a pretty set of feline fangs she growled again, charging right at War, sending him a good healthy kick to the chin. Swerving around she put out both hands and let out a multitude of star bolts, all just as forceful as missiles, hitting him head to toe.

"Miss me?" she snarled and glanced up, sending a bright flashing explosion of a hot pink star bolt into the sky. The Tamaranian warrior was back, and this city was under her protection. Anyone wishing to challenge that and harm anything in her protection would be destroyed by her hands.

__________

WarBird charged into Eden, his father unbreakable twin blades in his hands. He cut through controlled corpses and he ran and tumbled and charged. Left and right, he was fast and inhumanly strong, an aura of rainbow-like light surrounding his massive form. He would quickly go from one almost victim to the next, slicing through the attack corpse and quick commanding the almost victim to find another civilian and grab something to defend themselves with. Civilians were not as helpless if they stuck together and defended one another. Their panic would be calmed if they were given orders, something productive to do. Protect the children, elderly, sick and injured. Anyone who could fight back should grab the nearest blunt object.

"It's like those zombie video games people," the Native American shouted to his herd of civilians, "Let's cut 'em down to size and show them who this place belongs to!"

"Miss me?"

War let out a growl of anger but otherwise managed to stand his ground. He could already feel the dark magic that he had been learning about shielding him from the most severe of the damaging starbolts and the Tamaranian's formidable physical attacks but he was still caught by surprise by the attack and was in a bit of pain. "Actually, I was rather happy that you were gone for so long. It gave Death and myself enough time to increase our power levels far beyond what they once were. As we speak, Death will be dealing with our new enemy."

A shadowy knife appeared in War's hands and he held it directly above the unconscious Viran's chest. "I suppose it's a good thing that you've arrived. If you can survive you can tell the Titans who killed Viran, but that's highly unlikely."

He looked down at Viran and smiled darkly and than looked at Dawnfire. "Say goodbye." He laughed as he brought the dagger down.

"You are not the only ones," she gave him a sensual purr, before shooting like a lightening strike at the thing called War. The knife was in her hand and she gave her enemy a feral grin. No one touched her friends. Ever since their old leader had died Dawnfire had made a vow to herself. If anyone was harmed on her watch, she'd might as well be considered useless and leave the Titans for good. Gripping the blade, her hand glowed brightly. Dark energy would be no good on her. She and Starfire had been doing to much practice with dispelling and even using it. It had been difficult and intense training, but clearly worth it.

Lungeing forward she sunk her animalistic teeth into the dark creature's neck with the force and barbarianism of a wild animal. Ripping the blade away from War, she sent a forceful knee into his gut, her firey hands lighting up even more, sending star energy crawling over him like fire on gasoline. Releasing him from her bite, her pupil-less green eyes blazed in amusement. "I've learned a few new tricks, War," she purred, "Better get ready. It's going to hurt being my experimental pig." Letting out a growl she dug her claw-like nails into his skin, injecting him with her ravaging star energy. It'd burn him from the inside out, anything it'd touch being either absorbed or destroyed. Like a virus. Her own personal little invention, based on the age old human illness of Consumption.

Releasing War, she sneered and picked up Viran, placing him gently to the side. "Rest well, Friend," she said gently, before turning back to War with a hand on her hip, "Now. Where were we?" She shot him with her eye bolts, unrelenting in their force and power. She was much stronger than before. Much, much stronger.

"Now. Where were we?"

War was doubled over in pain for a brief moment as the Tamaranian bit down on his neck and hit him with a barrage of attacks that he was quite sure would have killed him if he hadn't increased in power. She had gotten stronger. Much stronger than he had remembered. But he had also learned a few tricks since his last encounter with her.

"I think I was about to do this." He growled as dark energy began to flow through his body, dissipating the Tamaranian's weird starbolt like virus that had been running through his veins. It hurt like hell but it was better than being dead. "I think your mistaken. I was once Genocide. But now I am War. And War is now Death!" He roared as dark energy shot up from the ground between himself and the vicious animal. For a brief moment as he paused as his body began to adapt to future encounters with the starbolt virus. That could come in useful at some point. He thought.

That was all the time he needed.

War let out a roar of Rage and blinding fury as layers upon layers of dark energy shot up and enveloped the Tamaranian's body until she was covered entirely. But he knew that it wouldn't hold her for more than a few seconds. But this next attack would most likely finish her, he thought smugly as he went for her throat with his claws and and teeth. He was going to relish ripping out her throat.

He was about to reach her. He was about to finally finish her. But just as he was about to reach her...a figure threw itself directly in front of him. His eyes widened in surprise as he recognized the figure. "Hisel!" He roared angrily as he was forced to break off his attack and rammed his claw through his stomach. The elder Valkorian hit the ground with a thud.

Damn. The old man threw me off. he cursed as he began to gather his strength again and prepared to kill Dawnfire with a blast of dark energy.

She snorted at him. "You look more like a bug to me," she said dryly, apparently unamused at his little trick with his dark energy, "You keep that up and you'll kill yourself." She smirked, his blood still on her lips. She put her hands into the dark energy. She let out a small huff and her hot pink energy seemed to devour and glow brighter as the dark energy resisted. Soon the wall was bright pink and was sucked into the Tamaranian. She let out a sigh of delight and licked her lips. "Tastes like ice cream," she purred.

"Tsk, tsk, I expected more," she smirked, "Your dark energy is just like a small seven course feast on my planet." The dark creature charged at her but a figure blocked him. Dawnfire frowned. Blocking was unnecessary. She had more than enough energy now to take down at least three of the dark creatures, considering all that dark energy he had just fed her. Dismissing the old Valkorian with a sigh, she flashed forward and griped War's wrist.

"Give me your energy," she hissed with a smile, drawing his dark energy from his being like she drew energy from stars. That dark energy was converted to her own star energy and her feral smile grew wider and wider. "You should be more intelligent," she growled, "You should of realized... You're a walking meal to me now. I'm an energy manipulator!" She was sucking up his energy like a vampiric creature, a slow animalistic laugh bubbling form her golden lips. "Give it all to me," she purred, "Give me your energy." Her vice-like grip on him tightened, growing stronger and stronger with the more energy she took from him.

"You should of realized... You're a walking meal to me now. I'm an energy manipulator!"

War grinned despite the immense pain he felt as he realized something. "Actually. I think you missed something." He gasped in pain as his energy was drained. "You may have just doomed this world. That Valkorian on the ground...he was the leader of the refugees here. With him gone...there will most likely be war once you are framed for his murder." He said with a pained laugh.

"D-Don't listen to him..." Hisel's voice echoed weakly as the life rapidly left the old Valkorian. "Stop him...Stop him here and now. I gladly sacrificed myself for Viran. He's the hope and future of our race. I found the reason he hasn't woken up, we need to find the woman who helped h-!"

War's eyes flashed and a blast of energy erupted from his eyes and slammed into the old Valkorian who collapsed with a thud before he could finish.

And you should also know...this link works both ways." He said with a grin as his body began to adapt as he began to draw his dark energy away from Dawnfire along with a small amount of her star energy although it was painful to absorb, a shadowy mass of energy began to form on Dawnfire's hands. It would burn her. It would burn through her skin, through her bones.

"And now we do this." He said with a laugh as a blast of energy shot forth from his eyes and collided with Dawnfire's head.

"Because your arm is the same size as mine," she sneer with a laugh. Her green eyes glanced back at the gasping man. With a nod she flicked War off of her like a annoying bug. His last sacrifice would no be in vain.

"If they take me in, it matters not," she growled, "All that matters is you head on a spit." She push star bolt energy from her eyes, meeting his attempt to hit her in the head. That move would not work again. She lifted her burned hands, still glowing bright and focused on her own personal energy within his body. Tamaranian body energy was something that always obeyed its owner. It had been his one mistake. Had he merely taken her borrowed energy from the stars it would of been another matter. But her cell energy was within him. Her fingers twitched, spreading open farther and farther, expanding the reach of her energy in his body like roots in the ground.

"Time for the illness to spread," she whispered, eyes locked with War, "Burst."

Small pockets of her energy through his body started to erupt uncontrollably. Like how Darwin had surcomed to over adaptation to friendly fire, War's body would try to keep up with the multitude of tiny cells of radiation explosion in his body. Like mini nuclear explosions within him, maybe she wouldn't kill him, but she'd cause enough pain to make hundreds on thousands of normal people die from exposure to such an attack. And all of that pain was bundled and curled within him. It was a vicious and barbaric attack, something that had been outlawed on Tamaran since the ending of the Warring Times. It was an attack originating from the very first powered up Tamaran, their Goddess, who had been driven mad and thrown into an eternal prison of their great sun.

And while his body was focused on adapting, she hit him with all she had physically. Even if she were to beat him to a pulp for a hundred years, she would not relent. Not this time. She had a dying wish to honor. With a growl she charged at War, her burning hands fueling her anger. Her claws drew across his body over and over again, her feline teeth tearing and ripping at any flesh she could find. The massive force of Tamaran strength was drawn into all of her knee jabs, all of her head butts and all of her kicks. He would die by her hands, so say the Universe and an elder's dying wish. Either he or she or both would die. Either he or she or both would die. Either he or she or both would DIE.
