When I wrote about sponsors I meant like for example we have 12 tributes so 12*3=36. Each picks 3 random numbers from 1-36, no repeated numbers. So when the sponsor move comes you roll the same random.org generator but not from 1-12 like it is for deaths but from 1-36 and the one whose number is generated gets the gift.

Talking about having to return to middle, in that case the winner should receive OOC PM cuz otherwise it sounds and by idea will be the same as the feast...

And the Token thing is not the sponsors gift it like a talisman, you know, lucky charm object...

Here is my character:

Name: Nash

Age: 24

Sex:
Male

Family:
Orphan

District:

Appearance:

Strength:
Great huntsman, tracker and overall survivor in the wilderness.

Weakness:
Almost fully deaf with left ear and half deaf with right ear, can't detect the directions where the sound comes from.

Weapon of choice:
Axe and spear

Bio/Background:
There was a rumour that a noble family's wife from The Capitol had an affair with one of the Hunger Games tribute and got pregnant. After the baby was born the husband, to not bring shame on his name, decided to send the baby away to the District 7 where the baby's uncle was living as the tribute that the wife had affair with died in the games. Others were gossiping that the baby was found in a cave in the woods and was left there because he had demons in him. Truth be told no one actually knew where Nash came from but one thing was clear - he was orphan and he grew up in the small forest shack of a lonely lumberjack who became his father, real or not. He was given a name Nash that means Ash Tree as his father believed that Ash Tree has a power to kill supernatural.

Unfortunately at age of 8 Nash again became an orphan as his father died in an accident when a falling tree fell right on him. His old man already was a loner and people from District 7 were talking a lot of things about him, like people used to talk about witches. Some said that he's a werewolf and that's the reason he lives alone, deep in the forest. Some said that he's a vampire that drinks only animal blood, so after he died no one wanted to take Nash and raise him. Nash was all alone at age of 8, in a small shack, deep in the woods, left to die. The beginning was awfully hard and it felt almost like it would be easier to die here and now but it started to get better as his skills for hunting, weapon mastery and survival skills started to grow. By age of 10 Nash was already able to single-handedly chop down big trees in. Hunting had became an easy task, tracking was almost the same as to breath. His body was much more developed at age of 12 than for some at age of 18.

The age of 12, that was the year when Nash was old enough to be added to the reaping ceremony but that's not what happened. As no one knew where Nash came from and based on the fact that he was living with his father deep in the woods, no one mentioned him to the authorities. So when his father died and he was left alone in the woods, everyone totally forgot about him and therefore no one added his name for the reaping as he was like a ghost in the District 7. But that was the first year when Nash heard about Hunger Games and went to secretly observe the reaping ceremony. A boy and a girl was chosen and as always everyone was sad about this event but not Nash, no, he saw an opportunity to bring his and his fathers name in the light, to make his father proud of him, so he began an intense training, even it was against the rules of the games to do that. Two years later, the 66th Hunger Games, the reaping ceremony, the girls name has just been announced and it's time for the boy to be picked. The card is picked and already unfolded and the name is announced "Joshua Rondale" when right after the name is called Nash walks from the crowd and shouts "I volunteer as a tribute for District 7!". The whole crowed just stared at him like they would see a ghost and it wasn't far from truth as for the last 6 years he had no contact with anyone but the forest. That was also the year when he became a victor of Hunger Games.

Token:
A silver ring with a weave in the middle that represents the never ending forests.

Now I get it, the whole thing.
I misunderstood what you said,
and mixed the token and the sponsors gift together.
About the sponsors gift have to run back to the middle,
i agreed that I should OOC pm the person. Otherwise everyone will knew lol.

Your character was accepted. Nice background story OBESE.

Name: Faust Vypren

Age: 25

Sex: Male

Family: Just his parents.

District: 2

Strength: Close-quarters combat, navigating rough terrain and weapon proficiency.

Weakness: Survival skills, mostly. He's also been a bit of a chain-smoker after winning his Games, leading to him being unable to run for long distances.

Weapon of choice: A mace or throwing spears, if possible. Otherwise, he can wield any weapon to a decent degree.

Bio/Background: Faust grew up in one of the poorer parts of District 2. His family had never been all that well off, both his parents had their minimum wage jobs at the quarries. They didn't have enough to afford any luxuries, but they never starved. It stayed that way until Faust turned seven, when his school offered him a chance to join the Program -- the very Program that trained kids to become Career tributes. "Offered" had been the word they used, but refusing meant expulsion from school. And that meant Mom would have to stay home with him all day and that meant less money and that meant less food. The Program did have it's benefits however, as Faust learnt that there'd be a stipend; that Mom and Dad would get money every year he stayed in it. To Faust, that was more than enough reason for him to do it. Finally, he'd be able to contribute.

The Centre didn't make him fight, at first. It was just a glorified athletics program. Games, lots of running fast and climbing things and throwing things, and they played at running around in the woods and throwing balls at each other and that's not so bad. Nothing to be scared about. Until the afternoon that one of the bigger girls knocked Faust away from the rope he was climbing, and when he said that it was his, she told him to make her give it back if he wanted it so bad. He was just about to when he remembered Dad's warning about not hitting girls, and so, Faust let her. One of the trainers made a disappointed 'tch' sound and told him maybe he shouldn't be here after all if he couldn't be the least bit competitive. It burnt under his skin all day. And by the time he turned twelve, the Centre had fanned his anger into something else entirely. Faust broke all of Dad's rules on a daily basis. In Dad's absence, he made new ones, sure that Dad would agree. Real men don't hit girls, unless they're bigger, unless they start it, unless it's just for fun -- those were Dad's rules. To those, Faust added a few more: unless she has a weapon; unless she's going to hurt him; unless the trainers are watching; unless it's a competition.

Those were the rules that propelled him straight through the rest of training. They held him through his field test, the endurance tests, the four kill tests until he stood up on the stage and promised his every breath and heartbeat to his district, the Capitol, and Panem. That morning, two people come to see him in the Justice Building, and they matched the faces in his memory except that they're older, and smaller, and they looked at Faust like they're afraid of him. And that settled it, they've all made the right choice. Faust was never a good little boy and he'd found the path that would use him as he's meant to be.

Nothing prepared him for the Arena, for the pain and the screams and the horror, but it was all worth it when he made it out, soaked in blood and grinning like a madman. He didn't think anything of it until after his Victory Tour. Faust knew his duty, knew what he has to do to get recognition and cachet, and nobody had to put a gun to his head to do it. The Games never really ended, and especially not for the attractive ones. Everyone wanted to touch him, he was a Victor now and that meant they could. They all wanted a taste of the merchandise before they committed to buying. Now, Faust methodically fucks his way through the reams of Capitol elites who want to get with a Victor, focusing less on the giggling heiresses who touch his biceps and tell him he's so strong and more on the men and women with money, power and the urge to use it. After all, it's all just business.

Token: A small, smooth stone of agate, given to him by his father when he was about seven, a while before he began his training.

Also, I just realized something that should be added to the CS. A general section saying which year you won the Hunger Games needs to be added. There is only one person a year, so it would just be easier to make sure no one accidentally took someone elses. Ages won't really matter, but the year of the win does. :3

Should I put some NPC among the tributes,
so...they will be those who die during the feast(beginning of the game).

Yeah I was thinking about this but this is hunger game. Those who will decide to go for the middle for the loot should be under the roll of a number to decide who will survive and who won't and there should be an option of not dying but just getting injured. Maybe in a case if there's a duel and another character jumps in he let's the GM know is he aiming for both to kill or to save someone and in that case if aimed for 2 kills, then 2 out of 3 dies but if aimed to save someone then there might be posibility of not getting killed but injured if the dice would say that he has to die. Another thing is to decide what will be the loot in the crates as that part should be up to the GM. Also we need to think about how the Arena sections will work as we know that each section has it's own trap.

And thank you Lady Squee, I love him too! When I was reading all the district descriptions and saw the lumber for district 7 I knew I want it as for some reason I like all the wilderness lumberjack power idea....and then I remembered the scene from the movie "Bullet to the Head" when Jason had the fight with Silvester and it was awesome so I knew I will go for it.

Maybe the d20 system like in D&D would be good here? Like the GM rolls for each of the two or more people in a fight, with 20 being the best case scenario (a dodge or light injuries) and 1 being the worst (death). Just my two cents.

I agree with Phloem. D20 could be implemented really well. Because if character number 9 is hiding in a tree on the opposite side of the arena from everyone else, that character isn't going to realistically die, are they? Or maybe some combination of the random number system, D20 system, and just OOC debate could be used.

I'll probably have a sheet up today if you'll have me. :)

Mach2 feel free to join, we still have some spots left to fill :). And yeah I wanted to mention that this will soon look like a D&D, even I've never played it before, but I guess that's what we need as this RP will involve some random stuff that cannot be played out fairly with just RPing.

Vanessa "Nessa" Day

Victor of the 71st Hunger Games

Name:

Age: 17

Sex: Female

District: Six

Family: As with a large part of District Six, Nessa's family struggles with a morphling addiction. Her parents are addicts, but her and her older sister Ella are not. As a result, Nessa is distanced from her mother and father. However, she and Ella are very close.

Appearance:
Standing at five foot nothing, and weighing in at 95 lbs soaking wet, Vanessa is not exactly what one would call a formidable opponent. She put on some muscle in training for her first games, and has managed to maintain it in the years following. Even with the added muscle, Vanessa is not strong enough to hold her own in a battle against a larger opponent.

Vanessa ties her dark hair back, but the fine strands are constantly falling out of the ponytail. Even when her face is expressionless, her large eyes and small mouth make her look scared. If she wears a low-cut shirt, a deep scar can be seen above her left breast. The scar is the result of a spear to the chest; the only injury she sustained during her games.

Strengths: Vanessa has learned to use her frail appearance to her advantage. People take pity on her. If she begs for mercy at the end of a knife, she has a much higher chance of being spared than another person. She is intelligent, and knows how to convince people to see things her way. Making allies is easy for Vanessa, as is basic survival skills.

Weaknesses: Vanessa's biggest weakness is her small physique and lack of physical strength. If someone wants her dead, there's little she can do to stop them.

Weapon of choice: Of the weaponry Vanessa has practiced with, she is most capable with throwing knives. They are light enough for her to handle, and she throws with reasonable accuracy.

Bio/Background:
Ella was always the strong one, not Vanessa. Ella was the fighter, the protector, the one who kept her younger sister safe from harm. When the family needed money, it was Ella that took a job as a mechanic in repair shop for Capitol hovercrafts. Nessa was able to stay in school longer than many children in District Six, not dropping out until she was thirteen. At that point, she took a side job as a mechanic alongside her sister. When older children pushed her around after school, Ella always seemed to be there to fight them off. When their parents were too far-gone in a morphling-induced high to remember to feed their children, Ella made supper for the both of them. However, on the day her name was drawn in the Reaping, there was nothing her older sister could have done to save her. Ella was nineteen, and no longer eligible to compete in the games. Nessa was fifteen years old, and tiny for her age. She had no hope of winning.

On the first day in the arena, Nessa had already prepared herself to die. Nevertheless, she sprinted away the second that the games began, running into the forest and away from the bloodbath at the cornucopia. It was easy for the girl to hide in there. The first day, she climbed a tree and waited. No one came after her, for she was not a target. The following three days, Nessa delved deeper into the woods. She gathered food. With no knowledge of how to hunt, she had instead opted to memorize a list of berries, grasses, and roots that were safe for human consumption. When she had enough food, wrapped up in her jacket, to last for a few days, Nessa disappeared.

There was no sign of the girl. To the other tributes, she had simply vanished. For the spectators in the Capitol, there was slightly less mystery. She had crawled beneath the roots of a tree. It was an impossibly small gap for any of the other tributes to pass through. But Nessa was tiny. She still hadn't hit her growth spurt, and stood a few inches shy of five feet. Combine that with the fact that she'd been underfed her entire life, it wasn't difficult for her to squeeze her way between the roots. She stayed there for the next three days, and the games progressed without her. Finally, there were only two tributes left. It was Vanessa against Ivan, the man from District 1. He was eighteen, two feet taller than her, and a hundred and fifty pounds heavier. It came down to a game of cat and mouse. Nessa crawled out from beneath her tree. She had no weapons, nor any way to defend herself. Ivan was armed with a huge spear and a machete.

In the end, her victory was accidental. The chase lead the two of them to a fast-moving river. The banks were rock, covered with dangerously slippery layers of moss and algae, and the river turned into a waterfall a short distance away. Ivan cornered her at the water's edge. It was all too easy for him to stab the spear straight into Nessa's chest. It missed her heart by inches, but the wound was nevertheless incapacitating. As Ivan stepped forward to finish her with the machete, Nessa let herself fall back into the creek. Ivan's machete missed, and he was thrown off-balance by the force of the attack. Slipping on the moss, he went in the water right after her. The spear in Nessa's chest snagged on a rock. She was submerged in the water, drowning and bleeding to death. But death favoured Ivan that day. The would-be victor was sent over the falls. His neck was broken while Nessa's heart still beat. She was the victor.

Since that day, she has spent the past four years battling the guilt of Ivan's death. Even though he didn't die by her hand, she still feels responsible. In Vanessa's eyes, her return to the arena is penance for the fact that she never should have made it out in the first place.

Token:

Name:Aleksander Kerensky

Age:24

Sex: M

Family: Divorced with 1 son and 1 daughter

District: 4

Appearance:

Strength: Is very agile and knows how to live off the land (make fires cook fish ect.), but knows how to hunt decently.

Weakness: Aleksander has a little bit of a limp in his left leg from his past hunger game win. This causes him to not be the most silent but he isn't a bumbling imbecile

Weapon of choice: Dual wield swords, spear, and shield

Bio/Background: Aleksander, or Alex for short, grew up in District four, his parents absolutely adored the Hunger Games and loved watching the fights. When they found they were pregnant with him they wanted him to go and win one so they started to try and train him as best they could. When he turned 12 they became excited, but he wasn't chosen such was the case all the way up to when he was 17. He once again was not chosen, and they finally gave up. Alex had felt like he had let his parents down, but he had other things to worry about, he was about to get married! To the love of his life, Amber. Once married they had three children but that's when it all went wrong. Once he turned 18 his name was drawn.

He was distraught, unlike his parents who later scolded him for not being happy to represent them and his district. But Alex was worried about his kids growing up without a father his youngest was almost 4, how would they even remember him? Turns out Amber thought the same way, so as he went to go train she divorced him thinking he would wind up dead. But he felt dead inside after that, and he swore he would see his kids again. He wouldn't allow some stupid game to beat him after all he was trained to fight in this. So he gave it his all, his best play was a 4 on one fight middle of the first day, the other tribute was there but she died before he even saw them. He somehow made it out of there killing all 4. Luckily he had a shield. And the one opponent running away got a spear in the back courtesy of him.

Alex Fell to the ground after that display, he was hurt but not dead. That's when an anonymous person sponsored him sending him medical supplies he was able to heal up and keep living. The only thing that he couldn't do was get a bit of shrapnel he had received out from his leg. But he nonetheless kept going and eventually won. He killed mercilessly and without resolve, his parents told him later it was like watching someone they never knew. The final kill was a sword fight between him and someone from district 7, the guy ended up with two swords against his throat as he begged for mercy Alex felt nothing, no pity or remorse as he lodged his swords into the mans stomach and then slicing them to the side. He scared even himself that day, now divorced when he see's his kids they only know he won. He won't tell them what happened, because truth be told, something snapped in him that day. Something that made him feel emotionless for months. But now he is just getting back to normal. He is somehow still liked even though his parents constantly retell the story of how he won saying they were proud of him. Most people who knew him though weren't after that, it wasn't the kind Alex they knew.

Token: He has a small golden amulet that in it is etched on the back the names of his kids, Natasha, Joshua. On the front it opens up to reveal a picture of him and his children.

The year won: 69th Hunger Games.
