So, for a few days, I'd been suffering severe toothache.

Decided to go to the walk-in/emergency dentist to seek treatment earlier, and see what I needed.

I was waiting 4 hours, as they were having trouble with an intoxicated patient.

Mm'kay, I get that.

But what I don't get is why they didn't CALL THE POLICE.

(And my tooth was pulled, incase anyone cared.)

To play Devil's Advocate if he was severely intoxicated he probably would be better in the hands of the sympathetic NHS than the more harsh police officers. They were doing him a favor, and he probably wasn't that bad if they didn't call the police.

Then again the whole point of emergency/walk in centres is you get treated quickly so your gripe is reasonable.

You complaining about that leads me to guess you've never been to a hospital emergency room, unless you've got some dire/urgent emergency you'll likely be stuck there for a good 6-12 hours... and that is just the wait for treatment to begin.

I don't mind waiting, but Imdo take umbridge to the fact dealing with someone drunk as a skunk takes priority over others.

And I've only been to walk ins, I try to avoid emergency rooms in hospitals.

no they didn't, scotsman was their edgy alt to maintain their reputation but they weren't well known anyway.
