Right of course Lady of the House, Venatrix.

Now for the true Lady of Gryffindor.

Name: Amelia Capello
Gender: Female

Brushes, clothes, perfume, and passion. Amelia Capello certainly takes her appearance seriously. Her fashion includes influences from famous muggle designers and magazines. Petite and small, she certainly doesn't appear threatening. Her hair is always neatly organized in various buns and a light bit of make-up adorns her face. Sweet (or harsh depending on who it is) smells lightly emit from her, mainly due to any number of perfumes she likes to use. With all the care she gives to her appearance, she certainly does not overdo it and instead has adopted a certain muggle sophistication seen in richer folk.

Personality: Amelia has the base attributes of being lax, outgoing, and friendly. She normally doesn't shy away from a conversation or meeting someone, unless she is rather preoccupied, externally or internally. She'll try her best to satisfy others as long as it doesn't conflict with her own interests and if it does, she'll tell you politely. Persist or threaten her? She'll stand up for herself and fight if it ever came to it. Naturally excited and optimistic, she'll provide warmer feelings in the darkest of moments. Meanwhile some quirks about her personality are minor things but mainly deal with her privileged background. She is a little more emotional on a regular basis, but with a little reassurance, she can keep a lid on it. She also has a taste for finer things and is a bit stuck up in minor ways.

Prior History: The eldest daughter of four, Amelia is shining role model for her brothers and sisters. At home, Amelia grew up with a wealthy muggleborn father, but a mother who was a full-blooded witch. Things tended to be more elegant and expensive but Amelia did her best not to brag about it. At school, she was an excellent student, albeit a bit of a smart arse on occasion. She exceeded in all of her classes and was a very popular person at Hogwarts. Her success in school got her promoted to a Prefect during her fifth year and for her seventh, she was recognized as the Head Girl. Due to success in school and her admiration for those students in the Order of the Phoenix, Amelia had always set her out on becoming an Auror but her parents must have been even wanting it more than she ever did. When her final year rolled around, Amelia hesitated as talk of a Wizard's Pilgrimage started circling around her class. A chance to see the world freely was a thrilling prospect that not even an Auror could boast of. Much to the disappointment of her parents, Amelia put off her ambitions to become an Auror for one last adventure with some of her friends. After all, this was bound to be the last time she would spend time with them.

Credentials:
Head Girl (2)
Astronomy (2)
Charms (2)
Defence Against the Dark Arts (2)
Herbology (2)
Potions (2)
Study of Ancient Runes (2)
Muggle Studies (2)

You have two more credits for James. It can be anything. As for Johann, you are -98? or two more credits. As for inventory, I don't want God modding, so a debatable limit should be set.

Where should we go?
I was actually considering on changing the connection between the students. Every school they derive from has a charity for a study abroad world trip. One student (Lydia) will have the map and they must all meet . From there they can choose to stay together or break up, etc.

I might give Johann some non-verbal magic, then. I certainly don't want to give James too much because weaker characters are far more interesting to play. I have no idea, though, what equipment James is likely to keep with him. Rest assured that he won't have anything too exciting, though.

I think the system by which the gang gets together currently works pretty well. Johann would be a later addition, but ultimately all the students would know one another from school anyway. Perhaps the Charity Burbage Foundation sponsors the journey itself and not the students, so they have a communal pool of money rather than 3000 galleons each (which seems like a lot anyway!) and maybe there should be an understanding that they are a group and a gentlemen's agreement that they should stick together? I think the more drive they have as a group, the more stressful and dramatic and interesting it'll be when the shit inevitably hits the fan.

Imperfectionist: I have a sneaky feeling Johann and Emma are either going to get on like a house on fire or, more likely, violently hate one another (at least to begin with). Apart from anything else, they'll likely be the best duellists by a long shot and I'll be surprised if they don't end up testing each other out. Seems like Emma has the more pragmaticky, creative magic, which Johann just has a ridiculous tonne of raw power and no fear of using the dark arts. Long-term, I think Emma presents an opportunity for Johann to become a bit less closed-minded but, in the meantime, we all have a hulking dickwad to look forward to. :P

3000 galleons converted to the pound or us dollar is the estimated equivalent to one individual's minimum amount for a world trip. That would potentially bring about greed and drama. If multiple schools are funding this, I don't see how it would be a problem that the financially inept student would be given an allowance to accommodate their travel... The wealthier students wouldn't need to be a part of this pool either.

x.x To be honest, Vena, I really don't like this layout. It takes way too much work to go into every hider to read just a paragraph or so, and even fully extended it doesn't look pretty at all. The info's all there, so why not just keep it as it is?

Belasco, well, it kind of depends on how he treats her (and some of the other Hogwarts girls, like Amelia and Lydia... esp. Amelia). If he's just an instant bag of dicks, there's no way she'll be able to like him, but if he seems to just be, um, driven, they'll be more likely to connect. In any case, she'll definitely love having a duelist that's likely to beat her in the group. ;) Gives her something to look forward to later on.

Hello Sir. You have two options. One student from either Durmstrang or Hogwarts, or two students from both. Anything goes.

That's ma'am ;). Just throwing that out there. Anyway, I'll probably just stick to one character in the beginning, but when is your deadline for joining? I'm just trying to get an idea since I refuse to take on any new RPs until I'm done this essay that is stressing me to the point of tears.

Sounds like there's a possibility to make a connection, then. :)
Johann isn't a bag of dicks, just a bit of a bigot. While he's going to accidentally patronise the womanfolk and be a bit twitchy about the half-breeds and muggle-borns that seem to constitute the other males in the group, he probably won't be outright rude, and he'll happily change his mind if/when any of them prove themselves to him. If anything, all a woman has to do to get him to like her is to not act like a squealing girly bundle of hormones and he'll be incredibly (if patronisingly) impressed.

There are other Half-Breeds in the group? Shit, my gimmick is ruined!

Logan is the half-breed. xD

@Imperfectionist: are you a competitive player or a collaborative one? By which I mean, when it comes to a duel that I'm anticipating will happen at some point between Johann and Emma, will you be trying to get Emma to win through posting better combat than I can or would it be your preference to pre-arrange the outcome of the battle so as best to suit the plot and yield the most interesting character development?

The latter, definitely. :) I'll still be trying to get Emma to win, of course, but I'll do it by arguing a better case when we plan the duel. Would that work for you as well?

Sorted. That's -definitely- the better way of doing it for me.
My instinct is that it would be more interesting in the short-term and in terms of group dynamics for Johann to win their first encounter - if he's going to ruffle feathers by being a bit of a macho brute, he should be able to back that up by having the upper hand at least to begin with. It is my intention that with some well-placed humble pie he should reform a little bit, but why do it too soon? If he's going to throw his weight around and not actually be able to put his money where his mouth is, it would somewhat strip him of his role within the group and rob the group the drama of having to put up with his behaviour in order to keep the big guns on-side. As I say, that's just my instinct, and I'm sure we'll cross that bridge when we come to it and when we have more context to work with. There's also quite a likely scenario in a friendlier duel that he will throw in the towel and gallantly allow Emma to win - to no doubt his own self-indulgence and her frustration.

Yo Sloth. 15 points are allowed when ranking your ability in classes and skills. You have twenty.

Edit:: woah. Twenty points are allowed.

If it helps, I was considering not using them all when I saw that a two is apparently N.E.W.T. level. Something tells me Logan wouldn't exactly be that good at the things I have him listed down for, considering he focused more-so on breaking a certain stereotype during the Hogwarts years rather than the academic appliances of magic. Heck he doesn't even strike me as a person to take a N.E.W.T. in anything, unless of course it's required for a Kneazle license or something. I'll have to think on what to change and all.

Naw it is cool. I took the liberty of advancing Amelia to Head Girl because quite frankly, that would be something she'd pursue and work hard for, especially with her parents pushing her to do so. This also results in Amelia being a little distant from everybody because she would opted out of some social events due to Prefect and Head Girl responsibilities. This makes the Wizard Pilgrimage important to her because becoming an Auror can truly be a distancing experience.

Also added some explanation behind her appearance.

I do agree that we need something different, that's why I want a collaboration from the group. I agree.

If I might weigh in on the subject, I believe we should skip all that doodah at Hogsmeade and instead skip directly to the morning before we depart from London. I have some very interesting ideas for France if the group wanted to go in that direction.

I'm still thinking no London, no England or Scotland at all, instead starting with a meet-up somewhere on the continent.

As for what place, France works for me, I had ideas for it as well.

From experience, I think the sooner* we get started the more momentum it'll have. :)
I guess nothing stops people having flashback-esque introductions to any preparations they may have made in Hogsmeade if they want to as a 'prequel' to their proper posts.

* By sooner, I mean 'the further in'. But also the sooner we get started. Let's get going! :P

Incidentally, is anybody going to take any great objection to me designing Germany's wizarding world as I like it? I'm interested in making it quite a right-wing state anyway, but with a bubbling political undercurrent with social engineering aims comparable to those of the death eaters? Nothing's actually happening but there's implications of quite a nasty political discourse and perhaps slightly expansionist policies. Following the first wizarding war, implied to take place around or in Germany and coinciding with the dates of WW2, there was a period of extreme humility amongst the involved nations (let's say Germany) but now, the wizarding community there is feeling oppressed and that it needs to rise back up against the muggles and assert some dominance - perhaps with a view to national expansion as well as back over the muggles. Johann is a product of that generation.

Obviously there's a lot of making-shit-up here and if we don't want to go down that path, that's fine, but all the English characters have a cultural heritage that everybody's aware of (Death Eater occupation), while international characters are kind of playing blind with regard to their own cultural identity. I did look up Germany on HP Wiki but there's nothing really to go on. I'd certainly like to establish some kind of political scene (if not this one) in Germany just to give Johann a bit more grounding.
