Name: Navarro Ethan Harris
Gender: Male
Age: 21
Appearance:Personality: hard working, a bit of a smartass when he wants to be. Growing tired of life as a simple fisherman, often times he's dreamed of just taking his little ship, and sailing away. Tired of working so hard, and barely being able to make ends meet. Used to have a sense of humor, but has become quite depressed, with the loss of his aunt. Where he used to be outgoing, he now keeps mostly to himself.
History/Biography:Navarro Might've had a much different life, if fate hadn't decided he needed to lose everything at a young age. His mother died giving birth to him, a fact his father never let him forget, at least not for the 10 years he lived with the man. A lumberjack by trade, he spent his life cutting trees for the lumber-mill. He was good at his work too, very strong. But strength alone won't save you from a falling tree. Accidents happen, and Navarro's father was taken, not by another person, not by illness, but ironically, by a tree. Navarro, with nothing left and only 10 years old, ended up being taken in by his aunt--she was much nicer than his father. She began to teach him about ships, sailing--her late husband had helped build naval ships, and knew a thing or two about navigation and fishing. Things he taught his wife, so she could take care of herself if the need arose. And, she shared her knowledge with little Nav.
Navarro, for his part, loved to fish and loved the sea. The scent of the salt, the crash of ocean waves...water called to him, sailing seemed to call to him. It was only a matter of time before Navarro took up the trade of a local fisherman. He might've even had himself a crew, and managed to make a name for himself...if his aunt hadn't fallen ill. It took most of their resources just to care for the woman, leaving nothing for hiring deckhands and buying a real ship, not just a tiny little sailboat and a net. For several years, Navarro cared for his aunt, while bringing in as many fish as he could, selling to the local market and on occasion even going door to door--that's when he didn't keep his catch; food was hard to afford when medicine took up most of the finances.
That was when he met Evangeline Delvine. She, too, had a knack for fishing. Swimming as well, sailing...she seemed to take to the water even more then Nav did. And boy did she seem the adventuresome type. Navarro would often buy from Delvine during nasty dry runs, or when he had bad luck and just didn't bring anything back. Sometimes she'd give him a good enough price he could even turn around and resell to the markets. Navarro came to count on Delvine when it came to getting food; he could take what he made from selling his catch, put some of it to buying from Evangeline who offered a fair (well, more then fair if he was being honest with himself) price, and still put some towards keeping his beloved aunt alive.
It's been 3 years since his aunt died. Navarro was grief stricken, so much so that he fell into a great depression. She'd become a mother to him, he was close to his aunt...and though it took all the resources he could bring in just to care for her, he loved her all the same. For a year he was holed up, barely speaking to anyone, only occasionally venturing outside to buy fish from Evangeline. Money dwindled, his ship began to fall into disrepair, and finally he realized he had to do something. He had to get back out there, to live his life or he'd die of starvation or disease, rotting away. So, with a heavy heart, he repaired his sailboat the best he could, and now works once more as a small town fisherman, barely making ends meet. But his heart is no longer in the work. He yearns for more out of life, even if he doesn't know what. Nav can often be seen on the docks at night, watching the setting sun, a misty look in his eyes, dreaming not only of the past, but the future too.
