"Actually I don't go to Kaidan High! I just attend in place of my shitty brother, who likes to stay at home and play dating sims like the hikkikomori he is," Naoto dishonestly explained to Kazuto. He turned exaggeratedly on his heel, preparing to depart and go have a chat with his partner, when he registered Eiji talking about him to the rookies. He didn't actually hear it completely, but it didn't take a genius to know that when you see someone lean in to whisper in another's ear after you were just talked about, that person was likely talking about you. Or not, but it was more likely that the former was the case, given his circumstances. Though he'd deal with it later. Their boss was talking, so Naoto directed his attention to their illustrious Director.
Upon the indication that he and his partner would be participating on tonight's hunt, Naoto grinned excitedly, facial expression matching up almost perfectly, before reverting back to that cheerful, innocent-looking half-mask of his. "Yay!" he declared happily, dead-eyed expression making that reaction seem downright frightening.
Fortunately, Moeka ended up ruffling his hair, which incited a surprisingly convincing puppy-dog/shota look and baby-voiced declaration, "but Moe-nee... You know I don't like it when you do that to my hair...!" It was a lie, of course. He didn't actually give a damn about it. Once she stopped, Naoto fake-sniffled and rubbed at his eyes before straightening out. He looked back to Akihara and Kazuto.
"Oh, I forgot to mention, Eiji is a lying bastard, so don't trust him. He loves to constantly talk crap about people behind their back," the actual lying bastard said bluntly, without any hesitation or remorse, "Trust me, I wouldn't want to fall into his trap, and I wouldn't want any of you to fall into it either~!" He closed his eyes, tilted his head to the side, and smiled widely. Surprisingly, his creepy factor all but disappeared once the eyes closed. Fancy that.
