...My opinion on superheroesSuperman: OP And boring as fuck.Batman: Meh. Too overdone.Green lantern: No idea. Never seen movie or comic.Captain America: Eh, he's alright. Ironman: Totally awesome in every aspect.Thor: Best superhero in the history of forever. I love norse Mythology xP

Since I have actually read the comics, superman is not OP and has several weaknesses, and he is not boring. He's one of the greatest superheroes of all time. There would be no superheroes without superman. Green Lantern is one of the best cosmic heroes.

I say he's boring and overpowered to me, doesn't mean he is to you. And I've never seen a move or read a comic book on the green lantern, so I can't comment like I said.

Batman's done all that long before ironman did that. Superman represents the greatest ideals of humanity and shows us what can. Despite him being an alien, superman is more human than most of us, despite his powers, he still treats us as his equals. Also Batman beats ironman, he beat superman on several occasions and also defeated the justice league. In my opinion Green Lantern is way more relatable

EXACTLY. SUPERMAN IS NOT HUMAN. Superman is idealistically perfect and powerful. He could probably whoop everybody's ass. He is the most unrelatable superhero to ever exist and is uber overpowered. Batman's parents were killed and that's why he hunts evil-doers. But what if his parents weren't killed...? Would he still be fighting evil? Iron man had created weapons and realized what his weapons had done to people, had done to himself, and he sought to find a way to fix it. He is human nature, itself. That's why he is my favorite. There are no pretenses - he is selfish, he does make mistakes, and he can be impulsive. But, in the end, it doesn't matter. Because he still fights with the Avengers, he still creates his suits, he still fights crimes...and he still drinks and make witty remarks that make everyone adore him. I like him the most because humans are selfish, humans make mistakes, and humans can be impulsive. My argument is not about who did it first, my argument is about who did it better. At least Iron Man didn't have to worry about being arrested. Superman may represent the ideals of humanity....but he doesn't represent humanity itself. And I personally don't care about Green Lantern...never really got into that superhero. Like, I don't even know what he does.

Actually... Steve Rogers had his parents killed, went through the Great Depression, got his ass kicked every single day because he was weak, learned how to be a great man with his power, stood for everything good, even if it meant going against the government, got frozen for decades to wake up in a completely new area with his friends dead, new morales changed, and people saying he was outdated and useless, and he kept strong and lead Stark and everyone else to save New York So cap in my opinion is much better than stark hahaha

I admit that Rogers has more morals than Stark. Matter of fact, he's definitely a better person than Stark. However, Captain America didn't LEAD Stark anywhere. Stark and Cap are CO-leaders of the Avengers...And also everything above that I said about Stark representing humanity, not the ideals.

Guys, I think that we're getting a bit off topic here.

There's two people whom posted Character Sheets on the last page, but it was kinda flooded away.

Is it possible to be off topic in OOC? xP

I assume Jones saw them, he is the GM after all so he kinda should at least look at every post xP

A list of his strengths and weaknesses. His strengths fill up 3/4ths of the page and then he has like three weaknesses. In my opinion, he is VERY overpowered. But, again, this is my opinion.

I'm done ^_^

Ah, I thought that the whole 'topic' was of Harry Potter. Apologies.

It is possible that maybe he would skim over the 18th page, seeing as most of the posts thus far has been about superheroes. But, on the other hand, he probably saw it. Eh.

Don't be such a un-funny pants. OOC is both for senseless chatter and RP related stuff. There really is no 'topic' unless someone poses a question about the IC xP

Since when does something have to be human to be relatable? He is an alien but he grew up human and lived an honest life. Stark is a multi billionaire, how is that relatable? also superman may be strong but it there is more to him than just his powers. If you watch Superman vs the Elite or read the comic it is based off of you will see why superman is a great character and he goes up againstone of the greatest challenges which is the idea of people moving and thinking his way of fighting crime without killing is not effective

Once again..."Apologies".

I understand that, but if I was a GM...I don't think that I would look through 5 pages if the first page was filled with unrelated chatter. But, yet again, we all have different mentalities.

Carry on.

Humans relate to humans. Why? Because humans generally go through the same difficulties. A dog will sympathize with another dog more than it will with a cat. Darwinism at it's finest. And so what if Stark is a multi-billionaire? That's not what makes him relatable. He suffered from PTSD after being locked up and after New York, something that many soldiers suffer with. He had anxiety attacks after that as well, something I relate to, personally. He drinks booze to cover up his pain, something that many people I personally know have done. I'm going to be honest that my argument is based off of the movies and what I've read about the superheroes, I don't read comics. The colors clashing with the words hurts my eyes a little bit. But...has Superman ever suffered because of what he has experienced? How did he cope with the bad things that happened to him? That's why I don't like him. I find him one-dimensional.

I also hate Frozen and find that movie incredibly stupid.

Continue with your superhero argument. Personally I like everyone (tho I do have my favorites) but I don't like arguing xD

Just a suggestion: I'm sensing some tension between Samantha and Acacia lol Maybe they'll end up like rivals since 1.) They from rival houses and 2.) Both are considered very popular lol

Also I'm enjoying reading this debate :3 There are a lot of good points being made

Yes, but I don't think I'm going to make a rebuttal after his because it's getting too heated and it's making me nervous, eheheh. XD Hope there are no hard feelings between anybody on the opposing sides? I get carried away...

Possibly. Though, remember Acacia isn't interested in Rivalries, so if anyone is going to be a 'rival' its all going to be Samantha xD

Acacia would simply...retaliate, if she did something xP

since i don't want to clog up the OOC i will just say this, Superman has problems to, if we're going by movies then in Man of Steel, Clark spent most of his childhood and a good amount of his early adult years feeling alienated and alone because he was different and he didn't know where he came from since it wasn't until he was in his thirties that he found out he was a Kryptonian. just watch this clip from the movie and you'll see that he had problems as a little boy.

I'm just gonna wrap this little debate up with one last question. Can you relate to any of that?

Back after a long day, what habe I missed in the OOC and IC? I see you guys have all been having an argument regarding superheroes....

For the record, I think Superman is very OP. Unless you can block out the sun, find the rare kryptonite rock, or find a red sun, he's pretty much unstoppable. Sure he can get his ass kicked every now and then, but that's usually because he's holding back.

Green Lantern series is my favorite, though the Red Lantern Corps are my favorite Lanterns.

Haven't missed much Krien. We got two new people who put up a CS, but Jones haven't approved them yet.

IC wise still just random chatter. Willow made a small explosion after botching Windardium Leviosa though xD
Jones did say we would be departing soon, I think though.

Eh, I'ma have to disagree with you there. I've never felt particularly alienated. Though, that's mainly due to the fact that I just don't generally like people and keep to myself by choice. xP
