The world has been in existential recession for years.
Forsaken by God, the world continues to plunge into a state of irrecoverable illness.
An illness that leaves no grief, nor destruction.
An illness that contorts logic and reality in order to survive.
An illness that can erase the existence of a person as if they never existed.
And yet, mankind awakens to another day, clueless of their encroaching demise.
-Prologue- said
The sound of a bell chimes loudly throughout the school building, followed by the sounds of shuffling seats and relieved sighs as tedious lessons are put on hold. Students shuffle around excitedly, chattering away happily about who’s dating who, or what program they saw on tv last night. Your character might be among them, or perhaps they prefer to sit off to the side and observe. Either way there’s no escaping the sudden violent rumbling of the earth beneath your feet. The span of a moment is all it takes for the peaceful boring day to turn chaotic, students and furniture being thrown across the place like ragdolls in a tumble drier.
You feel a sharp pain, something hot and sticky following soon after… and then, black.
Sprawled on the floor or leaning against a wall, you slowly come to your senses. Feeling the ebb of life fading from your body. Your vision is blurred but you must have hit your head pretty hard since the sky isn’t blue anymore. In fact the crimson red swirls eerily with the empty blackness, sloshing together sickly like the contents of a witches cauldron. Turning your attention down closer to earth your blood runs cold. It would have been horrific enough to see the unmoving cold bodies of your classmates scattered across the classroom. But what awaits you is a scene far more unreal.
Black creatures with glowing red eyes. They resemble no animal you know of, but if you had to draw a parallel it’d be a slime or blob monster from some shabby generic fantasy plot. Unable to comprehend, you watch as these strange creatures gather around the body of a girl, sickening sounds filling the room as they feast like scavengers on roadkill. You turn away. You can’t watch.
When you do turn back though there’s nothing there, no trace of the girl…. Or was it a boy? Was there anyone there at all? It was probably just your imagination… right? You can’t remember. But you don’t want to stick around to find out.
-Information-Okay! Well first off I should thank you for reading this far.
Sekai Tensei is an RP that takes place between two worlds; The Real World in which we all reside, and the Rebirth World in which Shadows lurk (Crimson-Sky).
For those in the know, this RP is indeed influenced by the Shin Megami Tensei/Persona series. However it will be a standalone world meaning I may borrow some aspects and not others, lore is not canon, and core components of either series will be completely absent from the RP.
The RP will consist of two major settings:
Real: The Real World is where the slice-of-life aspect is in play. Your character may be fighting strange creatures by night, but they have a life to live during the day. Mystery/Conspiracy will be a factor in this world too.
Rebirth: The Shadow World is where survival and action come into play. Humans/animals don’t naturally inhabit this world, and those that trespass seldom last long. The two worlds are reflective of one another. (Eg: If a tree gets cut down in one world, the tree will also fall in the other).
Contortion of Logic: Contortion of Logic is a process in which the world tries to repair any damage done. For example, no children have been born in the past ten years. Yet no one finds that odd, and if asked about it they’ll just wave it off as nothing and act as if the topic never came up.
Dark Wisp Syndrome: Also known as Imaginary Friend Syndrome. DWS is a mental illness that is immediate, undetectable and seemingly completely random. Patients argue the existence of non-existent people strongly, and often become hysterical when they’re told no such person exists. The illness heals naturally over the course of several days with the patient not having any recollection of their ‘imaginary friend.’
Magatama: Unknown to those in the Real-World: Magatama are small parasitic bead-like talismans that gift their host with supernatural powers. Magatama's are fragments of deceased deities/heroes/creatures/people and can only be found in the Rebirth World. Magatama affect your characters ability to summon an object to aid them in the Rebirth World. (Can be used in the Real-World too).

Information:
Appearance: While I would highly prefer people to provide an anime/art image with their profile, I’m willing to accept written descriptions.
(Image): If you’re going to provide an image include one at the top, while writing down key features in the ‘Appearance’ section. Eg; Eye/Hair color, height.
Note: I will not accept photos (real people) mainly because I feel strange when there’s a mixture of real/anime characters in the same RP.
(Description): Those that provide a description should do so in no less than 150 words, anything less is inadequate and will not be accepted. Do not include perception, personality or anything not describing your characters physical appearance here.
Note: If you’re unopposed to using an image but can’t find one, I don’t mind helping you look for one.
Magatama: Mainly included for novelty purposes for the Persona fans. Magatama are ‘fragments’ of deities/heroes/creatures/people that can be found in Rebirth. They also grant the ingestor (Yes you swallow them) strange powers, this will be explain below. Up to two magatama can be ingested. Ingested magatama can mutate or evolve.
Weapon Ability: Weapons are based on the magatama ingested. For example King Arthur would most likely be a sword, crown, etc. There are two types of weapons, Traditional and Enchanted.
(Traditional): Traditional weapons are your typical sword/spear/guns etc. A magatama only gives your character the ability to summon the weapon at will. It does not offer proficiency in the weapon. Traditional weapons are realistic, in other words not flaming swords.
(Traditional Consumable): Some weapons; mainly projectiles require a limited resource to work (bullets/arrows). A cartridge/quiver etc will be supplied per summoning. However once used up they must be ‘un-summoned’ and given adequate time to replenish before resummoning.
(Enchantments): Are objects that have magical properties. Like traditional weapons they can be summoned/unsummoned. But unlike traditional weapons their usage is restricted to utility. A good example is a mirror that offers clairvoyance or a headset that can read minds.
Mixing Magatama: Singular abilities are limited and weak, to do anything that would truly be considered magic, you are required to ingest two magatama.
Traditional x Traditional: Physical empowerment (Eg: Super speed)
Traditional x Enchantment: Enchanted ‘Weapon’ (Eg: Flaming sword)
Enchantment x Enchantment: Magic (Eg: Summon fireball)
Information: This section is for additional information that doesn’t fit into any of the above fields. Your characters personality should be hinted at, along with their circumstances. Too often have I found intended personality to differ from actual IC personality so it does not have to be in-depth.
Circumstances differ from ‘Background’ in the sense that I’m not interested in episodic events your character experienced in their past. I want to find out about your character during the course of the RP, not before. In other words circumstances are what can be observed from a stranger looking at your character. A stranger might know your parents died in a car crash, but wouldn’t know that the car crash was caused by you kicking the driver seat and pissing your father off.
