Since the dawn of time, the gods have vied with one another for control over the realm, just to have direct conflicts always end in stalemates. Sick of an endless deadlock, the gods contrived a new way to wage war with one another: through emissaries. Thus the many gods went to work creating or recruiting armies of followers to wage wars and take control of the realm for them.
Two shrines stand alone at different sides of the realm, each awaiting for new creations to be spawned around them and new civilizations to be born.
