I forgot what it's like to go a night without sleep. Why did you make such bad decisions, past-me?

Sleeping through the day
Sleeping through the night
What's the point, we
Still have to get up and fight

I've been thinking about lying down and dying recently. Doesn't seem too unreasonable. Maybe some heroine would make it less boring? I'll think on it for a bit.

Night shift's what triggered my health problems and getting weekends off meant no Friday night. Kinda sucks for a social life, or doing anything during daytime.

Welcome to my daily habits man. Go to sleep at anywhere from 8am-11am wake up from 1pm-6pm and do it all over again.

That's not adding in the hangovers each morning, and how shitty you really feel because of the wear and tear of your mental state. But yeah, bad life choices are never fun.

Just stay up all day and go to bed early, sleep the night and feel better the next morning.

Drinking before you go to bed actually fucks up your sleep. You're far more likely to have interrupted sleep if you drink the night before.

I dreamed last night I was watching a Swedish Western, it was really weird. I didn't drink either.

I wasnt drinking, for once, funnily enough. Me and my two best guy friends remembered that it's possible to have fun without alcohol and instead watched Game of Thrones, then broke my Tarantino virginity by watching Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds, and Kill Bill Vol. 1. And the Emperor's New Groove. And a lot of shitty, bizarre stuff on YouTube. And made a lot of offensive jokes.

I also had totally bizarre and very vivid dreams last night... hmmm.

Don't take this the wrong way, please - but if I may ask, why do you keep doing it, then?

That may be so scientifically, but I always sleep very well after a few drinks.

Of course, I'm from Wisconsin, so "a few drinks", means "fucking passed out in a pile of half-eaten tacos".

I'm of the "drinking = bad sleep" crowd. I only ever sleep for a maximum of six hours after drinking. Then I wake up feeling perfectly fine. 'Tis glorious. Last time my friends were over drinking, they woke up to me sitting in a chair fully dressed, reading John Stuart Mill's collection of essays on political science, "On Liberty". The look on their faces was priceless.
Also, how would you have the co-ordination to eat tacos when that hammered? I'd actually be rather impressed.
