Personality: He will keep to himself, doesn't really want to talk to a bunch of people. If you get to know him he'll become the best person to have around. He can stay calm under a huge amount of stress especially what happen with his past. During class he's the trouble maker, and makes it difficults for professors to teach sometimes since his attention span is limited cause the classes bore him.
History: An orphan kid, didn't know he had powers until he was 5. Can't remember what his parents look like or if he has any brothers or sisters. He was found in an alley of The Slums by Snake, nearly beaten to death. He was healed, and lived their with Snake ever since. He was introduced to the Guardians, a group of Scions and some humans that protect the residents and make sure that no foul-play is done as long as they are on patrol. They trained him, showed him how to control his powers and saw that he could become a great asset to the team. However, they wanted him to join the Academy, he was against at first until he saw a certain girl join and he has been on board ever since.

Personality: Avery has a seemingly rather hard exterior as she's untrustworthy and a bit jaded and broken. She speaks little, often only when spoken to, yet longs for conversation. She acts more openly to those she's been around and feels more comfortable with, which is a rare occurrence in her life. Her solitary façade makes her appear often vulnerable, although she is quite the opposite.
History: Avery was an only child, living with her parents on a small farm, plagued by dying animals and crops. She grew up there until she was 15, working her fingers to the bone everyday with nothing more than half a meal a day, the rest going to her alcoholic father and bedridden mother. By winter of Avery's fifteenth year, a large snowstorm enveloped the farm in a sheet of white snow, killing off the last of their crops and livestock. Her father was forced to take her into the market with their last treasured possessions in order to make some small coin to last them through the season. There, Avery caught the eye of a rich and proud land-owner who offered to buy her for a hefty sum of money, to which Avery's father immediately agreed.
Avery discovered that this particular man owned a large estate where he collected women like trophies - the estate the cabinet. Upon her arrival, the man had the numbers "53" burned on several parts of her body with a hot iron, representing that she was the 53rd woman to be owned by him. He repeatedly abused the girl for three years, all the while her abilities manifesting within her. Three years passed and Avery came to the decision to take action to free herself from her tribulations by taking a dagger to her captor's throat. Days steeped themselves in night as Avery plotted her attack until the perfect moment came. She crept into his room as he slept, surrounded by beautiful women that threw themselves at him. She pointed a blade at his neck, preparing herself. Instead of a quick and clean kill, fire engulfed her right hand and launched itself from her fingertips, burning the flesh to a bright red. The knife fell to the ground, red and orange flames licking the walls and colouring it with soot. Clutching her hand, Avery ran out of the estate and watched the impressive building collapse into a blackened rubble. As she lay on the grass in the front garden beneath the star-ridden sky, a sudden cooling sensation flooded her bloody hand. Her left hand had become a pale blueish colour and was emitting a strange aura, despite that the hand itself didn't feel as cold as it looked. At the same time, the flesh on her burnt hand began to crawl back into position, although the wound did not completely heal. Energy shot through Avery and she got up, realising that she was one of them. She was a Wanderer and didn't belong in the pathetic life of a mundane. The girl fled, relocating herself to the renowned home of the Wanderers. The Academy.
There, Avery began to hone her abilities over the next 6 months in solitude, away from the presence of others who might distract her. She adopted the one glove to protect herself from the fire of her own abilities. She became agile and a difficult target, alongside her highly-ranked abilities, her extraordinary prowess unknown to her fellow classmates.

1. Yes it would have been operated in America but where, that's unspecified. It can't have been too far away from the academy since Avery had no money.
2. It is assumed so. It would have been around 60 people. Avery also assumes her parents are dead as her mother was extremely ill and her father most likely spent all the money on alcohol.

I do believe I will be withdrawing my application for the roleplay. The GM has accepted no less than fourteen characters, and that is a bit too much for me. I also might think that, despite the very impressive opening post, this is a bit below my standards in terms of skill amongst the players, as everyone has been accepted this far. I am terribly sorry to have wasted your time reading my character sheet.

Ahhh, that's a shame. The reason I accept a lot of characters is because many people end up dropping out and because I also love the diversity of having a multitude of characters present; each new scenario will have its own unique flare and will never become stale. However, I do understand that there are many more advanced RP'ers here (such as yourself, judging by your meticulously crafted profile!) who find that larger groups will stultify the story. Clutter, especially, can be quite annoying but I was hoping to create a group for it within the site which would have separate threads. This was possible on the last site, but I'm not sure if the option is available anymore.
Anyway, please excuse my rambling. I was rather mollified when you opined that the first post was 'very impressive', but it's still sad to see you go! My apologies to you; I'm sure it took you a lot more effort to create that profile than it did for us to read it.

You could always try and simulate a group with this new site's awesome group conversation system that replaced PM's, assuming there's a way to add people after it's already created.

Forgive the personality and history sections. I suck at those. I prefer to develop the personality IC based on interactions with other characters. I also prefer to flesh out the history IC.

He was born in the wealthier part of Ceteris to parents who believe hiding their nature as Wanderers was best for their race, and disapproved of the highly public nature of Prometheus Academy. However, John disagreed, and enrolled at Prometheus as soon as he turned 14 despite his parents' protests. He graduated from Prometheus when he reached 22 years of age, and remained there to aid the Academy, eventually earning a teaching position.

John uses his summoning powers to call upon the realm of the dead and bring them to his aid. His normal summons include zombies, skeletons, and wraiths. His grand summon is a greater lich, which itself is a far more powerful necromancer than John. This lich also wields Black Magic, using all of the elements to its will while staying behind the protection of its own undead underlings. Even when this protection is breached, however, the lich is a formidable adversary that doesn't go down easy unless banished by a White Mage. The summon takes a lot of energy due to the fact that John has to convince the lich that its aid is necessary, and if he fails to convince it, the energy is wasted. Calling the lich is a gamble not only because of time, but because the lich could refuse to show up.

Approved! The group conversation wouldn't allow us the advantage of multiple threads though, or at least I think it wouldn't. The best thing about the groups was that you could create multiple threads and it was just so helpful to avoid clutter!

Damn. Was worth a shot, I guess. One last thing, though. I tend to end up with completely different personalities than initially described, so don't be surprised if John's personality turns out differently than described.

Personality: Mable passes her days in an almost dreamlike state, with a distinct aura of dottiness permeating the area around her. To put her personality into comparison, one would see similarities with Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter series - her somewhat detached logic and idle comments just add to this idea that she is eccentric in a withdrawn, observant way.
History: An only child to a rich middle class family, Mable was pampered by her parents and disallowed from going outside to meet new people or make any friends. As such, she became quiet and studious, and tended to get quite good marks in school. She wasn't bullied at all - more avoided, because of her odd ability to let stinging comments slide off her without any sort of emotional impact. She became a boredom, a thing which sat in the background and read books. Attempts to make friends at that stage were nigh impossible - she used to have a small handful of good friends, but they moved to a different school when the exams started looming.
One year ago, Mable was suddenly and unexpectedly expelled from her old school due to, apparently, 'breaking the plumbing system'. Appearance
Personality: Mable passes her days in an almost dreamlike state, with a distinct aura of dottiness permeating the area around her. To put her personality into comparison, one would see similarities with Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter series - her somewhat detached logic and idle comments just add to this idea that she is eccentric in a withdrawn, observant way.
History: An only child to a rich middle class family, Mable was pampered by her parents and disallowed from going outside to meet new people or make any friends. As such, she became quiet and studious, and tended to get quite good marks in school. She wasn't bullied at all - more avoided, because of her odd ability to let stinging comments slide off her without any sort of emotional impact. She became a boredom, a thing which sat in the background and read books. Attempts to make friends at that stage were nigh impossible - she used to have a small handful of good friends, but they moved to a different school when the exams started looming.
One year ago, Mable was suddenly and unexpectedly expelled from her old school due to, apparently, 'breaking the plumbing system'. I'd like to make a little note here that because there are so many characters, we can have different scenarios running concurrently. All you have to do is preface your post with the number of the scenario e.g.

This way, we can have several storylines running at once without too much confusion. It'll also help us to avoid having all of our characters in one place which helps the realism.
I'm planning on starting the RP today once D.Disciple gets back from his date.....
