There was one other character I wanted to do but wasn't sure if it would work for this since you said you wanted it sapient/humanoid. It's a chimera of sorts, quadruped, with above average intelligence, about the same intelligence of an orca or dolphin, a result of additional gene splicing. She's genetically engineered and spliced to have the the traits of various animals in an attempt to create a new species of intelligent creatures with various functionality. Bred in the lab with genes of a domesticated house cat and a panther, scientist modified her with parts from an impala and a hawk. She's about the size of...I'd say a Labrador. They didn't like the way she turned out and abandoned the testing. Because of her intelligence, she can comprehend and respond to most human languages, using a control collar to communicate. She maintains her animistic instincts to begin with. I intended her to just be a companion for Red. Doesn't matter if I have her in it or not, just curious if she could work. But if she did, during her development she would start to become more human, not physically but mentally. Gain a sense of humanity, sympathy, self-awareness, and independence. Didn't really want to pitch this because I figured one animal-like character was enough and I didn't wanna steal Neil's thunder XD

Not trying to be an ass, but let's try not to have character concepts start overlapping with each other, that would make this particular roleplay boring. The appeal is pretty much a bunch of wacky looking creature getting together, if all of them are tailed with beastial attributes it's gonna be a bit unoriginal. Plus, I think broaching in other character concepts sorta hurts the originality of the characters already in existence.See, we have an android, a tree man, a chimera(Beast), a shapeshifter, a psychic, and a reimagined human?! :0 another chimera takes away a bit from Beast's individuality, and more characters with similar animal traits take away from our current psychic and our shapeshifter. So if you do use animal traits, trying to make them different than anyone else enough to so we have completely individual characters.I just don't like to see roleplays with several characters with pretty much the same concept.

I know a way we can pass the time but first, let me tell you about myself. This gloomy place wasn’t always my home. I have been asleep for many eons in cryostasis and this world is quite new to me. My family has long since passed and I have not aged one year in the process. My body was extremely frail as a child you see. Jumping off a lone step would break both ankles and a hospital was no place to raise a child. There was no quality of life for me but the doctors spoke of an innovative process in the near future that would cure me of my feeble bones. My family hired a lawyer to go over questionable documents stating that in the unlikely chance my mother and father could not afford my treatments that the lab would keep my body as collateral. This was so they could conduct experimentation for the betterment of science and humanity no doubt. How cruel of my parents to sign such blasphemy you might be thinking but they were extremely well off, and at the time could afford this expensive procedure. Unfortunately the lab was crafty and the near future turned into the distant future, which eventually accumulated well past even their reserves. My family took the lab to court but they drew out the trial until my family grew too old to fight back. Finally opening my eyes for the first time my memory had been completely wiped though it has come back gradually. All the horrible tests they have put me through are nothing more than flashes in the back of my mind though that revealed an even darker issue. My body may be reinforced with metal but my mind is warped, and I wait for the perfect chance to utilize my skills though I am constantly under sedation. It is difficult for me to determine what reality is and what a figment of my imagination is. Have you ever tried to reach for a glass of water only to discover your hand is under a dripping facet with no glass in sight? I don’t know what they tried to do to me but they obviously failed and spent more money than I am worth on botched upgrades.I have resorted to talking to the shadows since there is no company to share my deepest secrets with--until you came along. They have recently started to materialize…these shadows and are no longer a comfort to speak with. These apparitions are terrifying and I have absolutely no control over when they show or who they torment. Before the sedation took affect I overheard some scientists explain how the figments are a side effect from the orbital transplants, and somehow able to pick up on someone’s internal fear and project them including my own. Quick! Go hide, they are coming. I’ll talk with you soon, friend. Affectionate, Agile, Strong, Stealthy, and has night vision. Tends not to filter thoughts, vague sense of personal space, bouts of blindness, prone to episodes of fear leaving her paralyzed for a time, somewhat unstable, and immatureHopefully everything looks alright, I went first person for the history route...never did that before so pardon the sketchiness.This rp looks like a lot of fun. ^^

So~ Solekii, out of pre-story curiosity, will we be able to use the scientists as NPCs or will there be like main scientists that you'll control? Just a thought. Not all GMs want people making NPCs you know.

I was wondering how viable a literal living stuffed animal is?Initially, I had planned to make a CS for a prototype of the fictional Lively Bear line of teddy bear products. This prototype is a Lively Bear whose stem cells expressed the wrong genes: patches of fur of the wrong variety, scales on some parts of its body, teeth and claws where a cute mouth and stubby appendages were supposed to be, etc.. While he was supposed to be an actual living teddy bear, the only part of his description that's correct is the "living" part.A mixture of technology and organic matter makes up the inside of his rotund appearance and so forth.Let me know if this is something that won't work in the context of this story.

We'll be escaping fairly soon, as it would be difficult to do much with all those guards everywhere. I'll have a few posts in the lab, but we should probably start trying to get out pretty soon. But until then, it would be fine so long as you just run by what you want to do with the NPC first.
