* and also possibly the Netherlands. Apparently when I study a language I tend to get quite possessive of it and I'm learning Dutch as well...

Really wanted to visit Ireland too, but if you're cool with it, we can do it after the Americas. I remembered I wanted to also visit a few Atlantic/Arctic islands.

I think what I'm mainly confused by is how we start. You guys said you wanted to get past the repetitive beginnings but Johann will be starting off in Germany? I understand the part where we all know one another, well mostly, but I'm correct in assuming we'll be meeting up in France or are we all already there?

That's no problem at all, Ireland being one of if not the last place the group visits makes sense, since I gather a very "around the world" feel from the sabbatical, it only makes sense that they'd return to the British Isles at the tail end of it.

I really wanna start but that's the main issue for me. I don't mind where and how we travel, and I definitely agree that villains won't be all uber powerful and physically distorted. I just don't want an annoying beginning to cause people to get bored and quit... And from what you're saying Doctor, you would rather skip Germany?

As soon as that issue gets resolved I can piece up an IC post in a day or two.... Let me know. I know where you stand Sloth, so no worries. I currently don't have access to my laptop, but in a few hours I'll kick my bro off to check in and start on the post.

Venatrix: I really really really don't mind. I'll probably have Johann staying with his sister in France before joining the group. So long as we don't start in Germany, I don't mind if we do or don't visit it - either works from a plotting perspective. If we go, then we can see what it's like there, and if we don't, it's the elephant in the room and a massive gap in the world tour, which speaks as much as anything about the state of wizarding Germany. I'd suggest we start midway into some action to avoid the round of dreaded intro posts to begin with, though. Already being in France and, even if only superficially, already engaged in whatever story arc would hopefully give us a bit of momentum.

Yes, I second Imp! Regarding both the lack of brain power and the Doctor's knowledge. Just an idea. I want to incorporate technology, and we could have a radio tuned in on the Wizarding Wireless Network. With that, our characters can hear what Wizarding Germany is like, and decide for themselves if they want to visit or not. It could play music, inform us on anything we want to know like disasters, political bs, laws, celebrity, random advertisements, etc.

Alright. Then I guess our first three posts will consist of: arriving at our rendezvous point, intermingling and (which would you guys like better, making a group decision or following a map?), and heading out to our first destination. Where ever that may be. For the sake of not slowing us down like last time, all of our characters should have already bought all of their necessities and necessary items.
