Name: Rosalia Anderson
Age: 19
Soulforging Specialty: "The sickness in my heart", the name given by Rosalia to her Soulforging power. This power resides within her blood and uses her blood for diverse purposes but it is generally based on the use of her spirit. Using her spirit's strength drains not only of the user's inner power but their physical prowess as well, making it a rather risky power to employ. Names are given to Rosalia's current abilities:
Rosalia's Petals: The ability to turn physical or transfer spirit energy into another being. In other words, it can be used as a powerful regeneration tool for Rosalia and who ever she decides to heal. Her soulforging prowess combined with her disease has the ability to heal drastic wounds in exchange for a higher cost from the user and help their body get stronger to fight off certain diseases. Anyone exposed to this treatment will be infected by Rosalia's disease, although in its dormant, non-lethal form. (For convenience sake this will never be used as a tool to kill off important characters, but could be fun to test out in the future.)
Rosalia's Stem: The more offensive part of Rosalia's arsenal, a dark red appendage gushes out of anywhere from her fleshy being and takes the form of a long arm with a large hand in the very end. The claws of the latter are rather sharp and the hand itself could easily make 3/4ths of Rosalia's petite body. It is an appendage composed of her hardened blood, said to be made physical by her disease using her soulforging and capable of extremely high strength through the will of her blessed faith. She has control over it but it also serves as a automatic self-defense mechanism.
Abilities: Rosalia's Bloom: Rosalia uses the disease to accelerate her blood's flow while keeping her heart beats in normal levels. This multiplies her endurance and removes a strong amount of limits to her muscles and bones. This can generally make her much more flexible and quick on her feet. Overusing this ability turns her red and she eventually passes out.
Rosalia's Thorns: Rosalia's most terrifying ability but also the one she has the most difficulty using. As she infects a living being via contaminating them with her own blood, she acts as a form of Queen ant on the hives the disease has created in the body of the host. Her soulforging alone allows her to "burst" the hives and cause a severe infection. Black bruises will form on multiple areas of the body and symptoms can vary from weak sores to severe pains and fevers. Usually the infection has a particular effect on the areas her blood had contact with. This is the result of her disease attacking the cells from within. Death can only arrive after a week of infection if not treated. If a doctor handles the damage caused in the infected area, the disease will become dormant again and can only be activated again by Rosalia's orders.
Currently: Death doesn't occur, symptoms aren't as severe, will in most cases cause a handicap on the concerned members. The effects can only take place two minutes after exposure.
Skills: Unbreakable will: Rosalia is completely devoted to her faith and religion, some would even call her a zealot. Her narrow mind regarding what's right and what's wrong places her beyond the position of submitting herself to lies or tortures. It is nearly impossible to reason with her regarding beliefs as well, making it more than just difficult to debate on certain matters with her. Expert interrogator: Her charming looks coupled with her deep desire to satisfy her higher authority turns her into a being with very feel morals regarding the manipulation of individuals of high value. Whether it's to gain information or to obtain trust, she has this form of apathy that simply make people of any sex fall on their knees.
If confronted to a more difficult situation, knowing a lot about the human anatomy (as well as many creatures'), she precisely knows what to use to make prisoners talk. She preferably uses drugs instead of violence, or precise cuts in specific areas in order to cause the correct reaction. High class education: Coming from a religious background where many roads can lead to strong education, Rosalia has had the chance to study during her school years medicine and botany. Because this was her passion, she learned fast despite not being especially gifted, thus making her the specialist she is today.Gymnastics: Despite her small figure, she is capable of being flexible enough with her body to get around multiple enemies who engage with her.Equipment: For weapons, she carries on her back two machetes with which she is quite skilled due to her enhanced dexterity gained through medicine practice. They are said to be blessed by her Church, having "repelling effect" on whatever isn't righteous and unholy. She's always equipped with a pouch containing surgical tools, different small vials containing what ranges from anesthetic to anti-virals and poisons. Multiple syringes are present as well next to a bottle of disinfectant.
Backstory: Rosalia Anderson's story begins in a small town neighboring the grandiose City of Bronze, a rather large city as well which specialized in the industry sector. Weapons were circulating massively in that area, any kind of of weapon a bandit or a mercenary would want was in there. Although despite this shady facet of the town of Fiinz, there were mostly above average class citizens living in the center and the middle class living in the borders. In other words, it was relatively rich considering all that could happen. The people all knew each other, more or less, for almost all of them attended church on Saturday, or "Savato" as they would say. The Andersons were one of those followers, attending every week and having their children participate in multiple initiations as would good believers would do.
The Church was, and still is, called Aasina, possibly the biggest religious branch of the kingdom. Of course, all men had to attach themselves to beliefs in order to unite them in times of crisis and despair. Aasina showed itself open and tolerant toward anybody who seeked refuge during the conflicts between the rulers at the time. Anyone associated with Aasina had immediate sanctuary and could not be killed by warriors. This is how Aasina rose and gained such tremendous power despite it not being a true royal or political player of official significance. Their belief are similar to many monotheist religions we know in the real world, although they recognize a trinity of creation: A Father, a Mother and a Son who have birth to humanity. Their symbol is a bronze arrow pointing upwards.
Moving on back to Rosalia, as she was being raised in the element of religion, her parents had already anticipated a powerful career as a doctor considering it was the successful job at the time. Rosalia had and currently still has two younger sisters whom also attended religious courses and education. However it would only be in an Aasinan boarding school that Rosalia would finally be, unconsciously, tested by many recruiters within the Church. They were testing Soulforging, the potential in each child and their abilities to use them passively. In other words, they did their best to not get spotted by the Kingdom's authority. An interesting subject was often affiliated to special classes within the institute and would later turn into a special agent of "The Lord and the Trinity". The first tests occurred when Rosalia was thirteen and nothing really significant came out of it.
It would be two years later where she'd be in a school trip with her class that she'd witness the death of a bizarre, aquatic creature which was hovering over a stone pillar just before falling over. There she found death, the smell of death and the mere sight of a living being turning off stimulated the sickness in her. Of course, this caused absolutely nothing to Rosalia, other than her (very) late first menstruation. After a little humiliation, things were alright... Until she accidentally pressed her palm against the caring nun's exposed hand and unknowingly would suck out the life of her body. The woman was old and thus she fell over quickly, only to have bruises all over her arm moments later. Hours later, she was taken care of by doctors of the Church who had no choice but to amputate her. She died two weeks later as she approached Rosalia accidentally, which had awoken the death within her. The disease was unknown to the doctors and spread in her throat, which left them powerless.
It didn't take long for Father Winsver, the class' head teacher, to notice the pattern. After all, only one had contact with the nun at that time and was exhibiting strange reactions. Upon further testing, the Church demanded her to be prepared for utility. In other words, they wanted to make sure her ability would be of value to them. They merely helped Rosalia tame some portions of her abilities, preventing her from performing any future accidents. Rosalia was happy, happy to be able to help what she believed in with what made her, well, her. Because of her lack of training and still difficult ability, she was kept as a medic for the forces of the Church, forces which thrived in taken down opposing heathens and creatures they deemed "unholy". Through her course, she learned a lot in botany and medicine as well as multiple interrogation techniques. Her basic training consisted in gymnastics which explain her current experience in "slipping" around the enemy.
The Church's reasons to affiliate Rosalia to the Bronze Brigade remain unsure, even for Rosalia. It is possible that her complete attachment for the Church as well as her clean past made her the perfect candidate to be the Church's ears and eyes in the brigade. Poor little Rosalia Anderson, a girl who always did what she was told to do and succeeded where she had too. Despite not being the best, she certainly had rather interesting elements which intrigued the higher ups in this business of a Church.
Other: Keeping this here in case I have to mention something important.
