Wait your using my characters father as a mentor?

Yup if that's not a problem. The description says that he's teaching hunting to young men.

apparently things have been added about him without me knowing. Uhhh.... yes and no. I had him pegged for training the local militia most days. Who would do most of the hunting. coupled with him attempting to have somewhat of a laid back retirement.

Sure whatever. Ill roll with it. I guess I was just surprised. If anyone else is doing to have or try to have a close relationship with my characters family or my character, just shoot me a pm first please. please don't just start saying they have been doing things. I do have a general image for how I designed my characters family and their general personalites.

I could rewrite my background if you want.

again its just your claiming a close role to my characters father as his 'star pupil' and claiming him as a father figure, and to an extension my own character. I just would have liked a little warning first because it may have conflicted with my own ideas. logically somehow our characters have to mix or associate because of this now if you have been spending that much time learning under him. im not saying change it all. Im just saying we should probably talk about how this relationship effects both our characters.

Yeah, it's honestly my bad, I overlooked that relationship, I'll change my character's background. Perhaps, I should make a Hunter NPC, because honestly militia duty and hunting rely on completely different skills.

Well like I said. One of the basic skills he teaches to the milita is hunting. Hell, my character can hunt and skin. its not his primary duty as the militia but its something they can do if needed. If you want to make a hardened village hunter, well every village has at least one creepy old guy with a bow who hangs out in forests all day.

A major hunter in this village would probably hunt trolls among other things--if your making a hunter you might be able to use that fact somewhere in the character creation.
