(Twilight)
Cynyr slowly pushed open the doors, careful to make sure that they did not creak nor make any other noise. She creeped into the house, and took in here surroundings. The house looked pretty much normal from the outside, but inside, there were small leftover pieces of metal, gears, screws, and other things that one would've expected to find in a machinist's workshop. The area seemed to have been hastily cleaned up, but the person who did it obviously did not do a good job. A radio softly crackled with static mixed with the quiet voices of late-night reporters, discussing the war that had recently began scant hours ago. She sneaked toward the location of the radio, and came into a room with even more scattered machina parts. There were a few motor parts on the side, what appeared to be piece of a clock, and some childrens' toy parts, scattered around the room. As Cynyr surveyed the room, she suddenly noticed the still form on the bed. She froze, cursing internally at not expecting or noticing the person in the room, and slowly gripped one of her knives with her right hand. She waited a tense 30 seconds, before relaxing and returning to checking the room. She grabbed a few of the rarer machina components, putting them in her bag, and grabbed a handful of screws, making sure not to make a sound, and a few metal plates, enough to feed herself for a few weeks. She began to leave, but noticed a small, barely noticeable wooden box on the floor unde the workbench, labeled "Dividend". She made her way over, and slowly opened it, and nearly gasped at the axe inside. It looked normal, but she knew better. Weapons like this were rare, and nearly priceless, such as the one she already had in her pack. She quickly shoved it into her pack, before making her way out. The moment she was out, she began running, hoping that whatever had made her nervous would not occur, and not even paying attention to the tracks she was leaving in the slightly wet ground, making as much distance from the small house as possible in the scant time before the early morning.
