I don't want it to die either. What I've come up with to do a technical reboot back to the hotel but keep the story is jump in time by three years. The Manager is back in power and has fully restored his hotel, customers, and has a nice income of human slaves. It'll basically be like the first part but characters from all these parts can still be in it. The problem I see in this is the rebellion happening almost immediately since many people have switched their supernaturals to be good and wanted to help humans while the focus of the hotel was supernatural using humans as slaves while few rejected the idea.

I mean like you said a lot of us have become good and a lot of the slaves have escaped once more. Personally, I would end up using Samuel for the reboot as Mike and his family would be long gone. Plus Lexxi not been on in like forever so I would have nothing to do for Mike plot wise.

The problem is if circumstances drive them to that point ((persuasion, bargains, rewards for games[(Like what Kain.does]) )).. The restriction would probably screw over the vibes of a few other RPers along with the canon.
