The rain falls heavily as the young man in his black jacket crossed the street, not even bothering to check for anything coming towards him.

He had become a lot more careless with his life recently, although there was a very good reason for this. The truck that came careening towards him across the motorway could not have seen him, there was practically no visibility and the rain slicked road held no purchase on the massive vehicles tires.

The young man simple looked out carefully from his low hood and grinned a maniacal grin as the truck hit him fully and crumpled like paper. The explosion of the petrol tank igniting engulfed him in flame and he lifted his arms to the heavens, relishing the feeling of an inferno tempered by the indescribably heavy rain

As the sound of sirens drew closer and closer the young man simply grinned even deeper and faded into nothingness

The Ascended Arise

An RP about being a super human in a normal world, a story about incredibly powerful people coming out of the woodwork of society and waging terrible wars that devastate the world of normal men.

Okay so the premise is basically that you are one of the ascended, a race of incredibly powerful humanoids that have been breeding with humanity for centuries. Capable of living thousands of years and possessing a wide variety of strange powers these people have been in hiding for centuries, but no longer.

Your character will be one of the Ascended trying to live a normal life when a strange group of ascended calling themselves The Children of the Light (no one say anything about where I stole this from) begin to attack you in broad daylight, claiming that they want to make the Ascended rulers of humanity.





Okay so rules are pretty simple,

1 = You’re supposed to be OP but remember the enemies you’re fighting are supposed to be just as OP to keep things interesting so don’t just one shot every enemy
2 = This isn’t just about fighting, you can talk your way around enemies or just use stealth tactics and don’t forget that the story and character development are just as important as fighting
3 = Have fun being basically a god

For the powers you can have pretty much whatever you want, but when you do can you put in brackets the exact details of your powers and what their limitations are
For Speed and Strength you get 10 points and you can split them between the two however you want, below is a list of what each level means in each trait





The story is about a civil war between the Ascended who want to remain hidden/befriend humanity and the Children of the Light who see humanity as inferior. It is up to you which side of that war you fall on

How many characters can one person make? I kind of want to do twins for this.

As many as you think you can handle really, I mean I wouldn't want someone to ruin their own fun by trying to have like 50 characters but I trust people on here to make a good judgement of how many they can cope with.

I also hasten to point out that with both the Strength and Speed stats you can pull punches and move slower, your stat is just your upper limit

Damien Morris comes from America. His story involves staying with relatives in the United Kingdom. He has always been an outsider. He suddenly discovered his powers after having an odd dream one night during his stay in a hotel. The next day, several criminals attempted to mug him, and he easily took care of them with no effort. Someone who witnessed this attack took notice of Damien, and that evening he was attacked by a Child of the Light. Damien had to defend himself from a murder attempt, and it ended up in the deaths of his uncle and cousin. His brother was nearly also killed during this battle, and the attacker was finally beheaded when Damien twisted his head off. During this battle, Damien came to discover that he possessed an extremely tough body, that was very difficult to injure, he also manifested shape changing abilities, and he managed to destroy the assailant's technological armor with a laser blast from his eyes in an instinctive effort to survive the assault. When his family witnessed all of this, they were afraid.
Because of this worrying event, he has taken it upon himself to embark on a journey of self-discovery.

Damien is a family man, and he enjoys the company of others. He studies often, and is attempting to find out the nature and origin of his powers. He loves to ask the question "why?" and he wants to learn everything that is possible to learn. His curious nature has only lead to much more studying ever since he has gained his supernatural intelligence. He is seen as a kind person, for his donation of millions of dollars to charity, and his past, short career as a caretaker, despite possessing a fortune. He left his career as a caretaker to pursue a career in business, and eventually he made his fortune exponentially larger. Now he uses his fortune to fund his scientific endeavors.

All arisen have superhuman durability i.e. way more stamina, takes way more to damage their bodies meaning they can take way more hits and stuff, so you can think of more if you want them instead also can you put in brackets what your 5th power does and it's limits and how limited your shapeshifting is ?

Also if you fix these issues you're accepted purely on the basis that you have Nicole Williamson in Excalibur as your Avi

It's edited. Um, his solar manipulation means that he controls sun energy. His shapeshifting power is based on Humans and Animals.
