A blinding green light streaked through the Mojave night sky. The sickly orb gave off a piercing and whistling hiss; going incredible speeds at a maddeningly low altitude. As it passed close, a low guttural groan could be heard. Whatever it was, it was bound to shatter if it didn't hit something first.

Finally the strange Unidentified Flying Object reached the end point of its trajectory. A sound not unfamiliar to most; a gargantuan blast, wailing sirens, and screaming racket that howled through the wasteland like some sort of terror circus. It had impacted the small settlement of Radmarsh, named mundanely after the radioactive marsh not far off from the sites gated walls.

Not many folks are sure what happened that day. Some say it was just a tragedy. Another freak occurrence. The thermonuclear explosions that lit up the night? Nothing to ruminate on. Others tell of a band of travelers following the trail of light. Tracking the smoke. Who left just as quickly as they arrived, for fortune. To quench an insatiable curiosity. Maybe it was just because they could.

There's one tale that is told more often than most. Word of mouth says it started a waste away in the back alleys of Vegas. A hooker said this, proven convict said that, man claiming to know a guy who knew a guy who knew the guys. This is the story of that story of a story of a rumor of that tale.

CHARACTER NAME | PLAYER NAME | APP/CS

Notes: I don't expect everyone to adhere strictly to the layout I have provided for applications, so feel free to change it around or suggest a different character idea than I have presented. Robots won't work unless they were the sentient kind that could at least feel an emotion.

".....and why are the horses screaming? More of this, at 11. Now to the weather. The weather in the Mojave Marshlands is now 140 degrees fahrenheit with a chance of burning hail. Throughout the week, expect light showers of acid rain and those weird glowing clouds that signal the ants to our homes. Back to the news, as the weather was extremely upsetting. It has recently been reported that a strange glowing light was seen shooting through the Mojave Hellscape, The Wasteland, then The Marshes. It is still unclear where the mysterious light landed, as many of our interns who were sent out came back without the parts to either write down or vocalize where. But it has been said that a gaggle, a murder, or possibly a conspiracy of novice adventurers has foolishly trekked off into the general direction of the light. So far, only two have been cannibalized."

Name: BM-006

Race: Human clone (male)

Faction: none

Weapons and Equipment: Being a lover of tinkering, BM-006 likes to keep a good variety of weapons when he can. Usually he can be seen with a baseball bat, a combat shotgun, and a scoped hunting rifle. But his weapons are sure to change as he travels. This is also the same with armor, he tends to find any armor he can and repair it as well as he is able to. He can usually be seen with leather armor or even altered versions of Talon armor.

Personality: BM-006 is not accustomed fully to the harshness of the wasteland, considering he was previously a vault-dweller. Many of the methods that are necessary to survive do not come to him as well as a seasoned wastelander, and due to his previously being merely a worker clone, he is not used to others seeing him as equal, as he is used to being ordered around. However, he is very curious about the world and no matter the danger, wants to learn it. He is very kind to those who show kindness to him.

Short Biography: BM-006 is a sixth generation clone within Vault 28. He was raised in the belief that he was lesser than naturally born humans and was only allowed to be around for the sole purpose of maintaining the vault. While there, the doctors would give the clones special medication every few months that helped keep clones from questioning their position in the vault, and thus making them working drones for the people. One day he was accidentally not given the medication and soon enough began thinking on his own without the influence of medication, questioning his place in this vault and soon enough becoming tired of the way he was treated. This lead to him denying an order by one of the human residences and becoming a hideaway within the vault. Had he not been familiar with the vault mainframe, he would not have found the code that opened their vault door, allowing him to escape.

* The way the name system works with clones is simple:
The first letter of the original person that became cloned becomes the first letter of the clone:
BM-006’s original was named Bennett, therefore it is B
The second letter corresponds to the clones’ duty within the vault:
BM-006’s duty was maintenance, therefore it is M
Finally, the number corresponds to which generation clone he is, read in 3 numbers:
BM-006 is the sixth generation clone of his original, therefore it is 006

*He does not know the name of his original, I thought it would be really cool if he found some kind of reference to his original and he learns the name that way.

*Also, I am able to post up to 3 times daily on a good day, however my summer time will mean I will be off for a while since I will be leaving for Basic Training at that time and wont be back till the fall. But this leaves me a good month to post until then.

Looking good, think there might be a way in the future where we can find a way to find his "original" name. I'll have to think on it.

Name: Gabe Halmark

Race: Human

Faction: Freelance Mercenary/Assassin

Weapons and Equipment: Gabe has a motto: "if it shoots, it's perfect." He doesn't care about the model or the age of the gun as long as it fires a killing blow. Because of that he has a lot of older guns, along with a small stash of different ammos. One of his guns - a dart/pellet gun is used for his poison darts. Darts that he has found over the years and he has infused with the toxic Ricin. His armor is standard, and is just what he finds on the road.

Personality: [ Neutral Karma.] Very much so his own man, he stands for what he believes in no matter what. He doesn't like to take sides and will venture away from the strict 'Good' or 'Evil' paths. In a way he has both traits enstilled into him, as he will do what he believes is right, regardless of if that is a twisted thought, or a calm and peaceful one. Typically speaking he doesn't seem to have much regard for the rules, and will oftentimes bend them to what he thinks will lead to the best possible outcome.

Short Biography: Born out within the rubble, he was trained from a very young age that to fight was the only way that you were going to survive out here. This parents worked with a shady group of mercenaries who took in the tot, trying to train him to enhance his skills. Holding a gun and shooting is natural for him, always has been, from the time that he was little up until now. Gabe lost most of his group (including his mother) when he was fourteen, after an attack on their hideout. HIs father was distraught and went out one day, swearing that he would find the people who did this - but he has never returned. Since then Gabe has split up from the remainder of the merc group, hoping that he will find his father, who he knows is still alive. Though his journey has lead him all over the Marshes he doesn't care - he will find him.
