Need to make a bit of a logistical correction to your post, Card. The site of the explosion is the WDS control tower. That's not where the boss is, it spawned in the Merchant District which would be a few blocks away.

Funnily enough, Simo (Card's character) made an interesting observation about the creature. Long story short, this will either be a reasonably quick Boss Battle or an arduous one. It all depends on where the characters decide to direct their attacks.

Quick trivia about the Guard Armor. In the games, focusing on the Torso (the head apparently counts as part of the torso somehow) will kill the Boss faster, but taking the time to destroy the limbs first will yield more Health/MP/Munny drops. Since the RP will not be using those kinds of metagame concepts, you can probably guess which strategy will be better.

I'll tweak my post a bit; I'll have him find the Guard Armor on his way control tower.

Anyone else find it ironic that the only character with a gun is also the least likely to go into a fight guns blazing?

That's literally what I thought you were going to do haha, that's why I was so impressed with Simo's strategy.

Oh crud... I may have to go back on something I previously said when I started this RP. Don't worry, no one's in trouble, just me being a massive derp and nearly putting us on the path to being written into a corner. *gulp*

Well, the thing in question goes all the way back to the Interest Check, wherein I went out of my way to NOT include myself as a Keyblade Wielder. I know, I know, I said a while back that I had come up with a way around that... well turns out I didn't quite think of everything, as I was looking ahead at some of my plot ideas and realized, "Crap, we won't have any method for sealing keyholes!" ForcedSmile was supposed to be the one to get a Keyblade but it's been like 3 weeks since their last post and it's not looking like they're coming back.

Well, yes and no. I'm still going to use the work around I came up with for dealing with Heartless, it's just those stupid keyholes that are stumping me since there's no logical way to deal with those without a Keyblade (unfortunately).

Maybe we could give each world it's own special key that only works on the keyhole from the same world. We can just attribute them now appearing to the amount of time since the events of Kingdom Hearts, and the nature of the relationship between the worlds changing

Either that or Kingdom Key randomly* appears for the different characters when it comes time to seal a world's keyhole.

*Essentially the character who learned an important lesson or resolved a personal issue is the one who gets be the hero of the moment.
