Name:
Elliot Harper
Age:
25
Gender:
Male
Ethnicity:
Caucasian - English, Irish
Occupation:
Peace Keeper
Appearance:
Elliot stands at 5'10, his skin tone light from his countless hours out of the sun clearing undead in urban dark zones. A large scar accents his ear, Elliot having received it from hitting his head on a railing after falling two stories while wrestling an infected in an apartment complex. He keeps his head shaved, hating the feeling of greasy hair which is impossible to avoid in this world. His dark mahogany eyes are still filled with life despite the grim workload, his boyish grin matching his life-filled eyes. Elliot's arms are long and ended with unusually large hands, as well as well manicured nails despite the times. His wardrobe is reasonably simple, usually consisting of jeans with extra pockets sewn in, a blue jacket he snagged from an abandoned construction zone, a white t-shirt, a beanie, tan rock-climbing gloves, an over the shoulder backpack, knee and elbow-pads, clear-lensed goggles, and tan steel-toed hiking boots.
Personality Traits:
Elliot is an active member of the new world, wanting to do right by everyone while trying to do well enough for himself to just get by. Elliot's primary interest is to remove the infected from the world in order to let humanity get back to where it once was and outside of its walls. He knows full well that his work may kill him, but is rarely perturbed by the thought. He tries to keep his spirits up at all times, wanting to focus on the positive side of life as long as he can. Elliot's stubbornness is likely a contributing factor to how willing and how frequently he travels to the dark zones.
Brief History:
His youth is a blur, repressed memories making what led to his separation from the group he was raised a jumble of disjointed images and unfamiliar noises. The face of Elliot's mother occasionally lists into his mind's eye, only lingering for a fleeting moment before vanishing into the abyss. He was around 21 at the time of his first clear memory and as far as the world was concerned, he was on his own. Elliot's earliest clear memory is sitting in a government facility, having the vaccination injected into him while doctors spoke quickly and calmly. He had apparently been infected and arrived wearing a bloodied shirt, fully nude otherwise with cuts all over his legs. He had been given a brief time to recuperate before being explained that if he wanted to stay in civilization, he was going to have to pull his weight. Elliot listed from job to job over the next few months before discovering a library in his city. He quit his job as a maintenance man for the city wall and took up working the the library where he sent most of his free time teaching himself how to read beyond a third-grade level. From this he grew a sense of self and learned what type of person he truly wanted to be. The rest just fell into place.
