| Identity | - Slade Wilson/Deathstroke
| Origin & Backstory | - Slade was born 1979 (Age 35, present day), lying about his age when he joined the army in 1995. In 1999, Slade became a Green Beret, serving several tours in the early War on Terror, alongside his future ex-wife, Adeline Kane, who, ironically, was responsible (albeit inadvertently) for the creation of Deathstroke.
According to Lt. Adeline "Addie" Kane's debrief, She and Lt. Col. Wilson were under fire from Taliban, when she, attempting to return fire, shot Lt. Col. WIlson in the lung. Slade was medevaced to a field hospital and stabilized. Once he was able to be moved, he was sent stateside to a pentagon-controlled hospital where his injuries had unknowingly placed him in a program to create supersoldiers designed by the CIA. The drug they injected him with gave him enhanced speed, strength, and mental functions, elevating him to a tactical genius and physically enhanced. However, research proved that a special compound found in the mix of medicines treating him for his wounds had bonded the drug that enhanced him to his DNA; they could not replicate his success, nor reverse it. Slade was truly one of a kind.
When Slade was released from the Pentagon's hospital, Adeline Kane had finished her tour of duty and was there to greet him. She apologized profusely, feeling agonizingly guilty over the accident. Slade dismissed the apologies and said he didn't blame her. Within the same breath, he asked her out to coffee. A year later, they were married. However, despite his romantic life succeeding, Slade spent much of that year being carefully looked over by Military research scientists, trying to determine his limits. Slade knew the value of hidden talents, unfortunately for the military, and he kept his mental enhancements secret from the gov't. Finally, after the same year, Slade was reinstated into active service as a Black Ops soldier. Technically, Lieutenant Colonel Slade Wilson was assigned to Ft. Benning, Georgia as a Green Beret instructor, but in reality, he served in classified operations for the War on Terror.
In 2005, on a joint US-UK Operation, he met William "Billy" Wintergreen, and the two became fast friends. Slade, the physically and mentally enhanced supersoldier often volunteered for further joint operations, and it boosted the mission success rate by 96%, eventually landing Billy Wintergreen as Slade's official partner. During one such mission, however, the joint team was ordered to go to a small village suspected of harboring terrorists. Inserted under the cover of night, the team decimated the village, but not before Slade learned it was comprised of innocent children and women. He was disgusted. Upon return stateside, Slade went to his superiors, and resigned from military service. Billy also resigned when Slade shared his concerns with him, and left England, moving to the US.
Fearing that Slade knew too much, CIA agent John Lynch sent a Delta Force team to kill him. Slade killed them, but not before losing his right eye. It was here that the side effects of the Serum showed, causing him to go into a fit of heightened aggression and rage. Prior to this, he had been forcing it under control, and hiding it from Adeline Seeing this as a personal slap in the face, Slade went to Lynch personally, and made it sparkling clear that he would not return to active service, nor would he reveal the operations he had been involved with. The government took the hint, and backed off. Slade Wilson then turned to Mercenary work, keeping secret this part of life from his then-wife, Addie Kane. His cover story was that he and Billy had started up a security firm, assessing risks for businesses, and providing bodyguard service for politicians. In reality, and to protect plausible deniability, he was the international mercenary and assassin known as Deathstroke, donning a orange and black mask to conceal his identity. Billy donned a similar suit, calling himself "Ravager." The two went on various missions, before Billy was caught by a German terrorist calling himself the "Jackal." Slade rushed to save him, but to no avail. Billy Wintergreen died. The Jackal then revealed his identity to Addie Kane, who was at the time, pregnant with their child, Grant. Adeline left him right then and there, furious with him for lying to her.
In a rage, Slade tried to kill the Jackal, but the man escaped, leaving Slade with the ruins of what was once his life. All that remains is
| Character Notes | -Slade's height is 6'4 (195.072 CM), and his weight is approximately 225 (102 Kg)
Appearance:
Equipment:
Deathstroke Armor: Deathstroke's outfit is lined with Kevlar, and is resistant to conventional injury; later lined with a Kevlar/Promethium mix.
Twin Colt 1911 A1sNinjato | Powers & Abilities |
Enhanced physiology.: These enhancements make Deathstroke an enhanced human, not superhuman and afford him the enhancements.
Enhanced Mental Functions: Deathstroke's mind is virtually a computer built for strategy and problem-solving, one that works at optimal ability even when under stress and fatigue, He is also ingenious in devising solutions against superior aspects of opponents, can observe and exploit, and can calculate distance, speed, and time at lightning speeds; his sense of timing is superb, bordering on perfection.
Enhanced Reflexes: Slade has enhanced reflexes, perceiving objects such as arrows and bullets (IE Fast-moving projectiles) as being slower than they actually are, and can outreact most humans.
Enhanced Speed:Ability to run at speeds of up to 30mph and long distances far out-performing any Olympic athlete.
Enhanced Stamina: Slade can exert himself at peak capacity longer than normal human beings.
Enhanced Strength: Slade's body is stronger as a result of the experiments, tearing off an airplane door and twisting steel with his bare hands.
Retarded AgingAlthough Slade does age, it is at a slower rate.
ABILITIES:
Hand to hand Combatant: Slade trained in hand-to-hand combat and when he was in the Army, he proved himself to be one of their best fighters
Swordsmanship: although in this continuity, Slade has yet to pick up a sword, he will be an expert swordsman.
Tactical Analysis: Due to his enhanced intellect, Deathstroke is a tactical Genius, able to work out battle ahead of time for many possibilities and predict enemy movements and tactics after the battle has engaged by recalling and utilizing memorized mannerisms acquired through past experience on a moment's notice. During rage fits, however, he cannot wield this skill effectively.
WEAKNESSES:
Serum-induced Rage: A side effect of the serum is that it causes the user to develop mental instability which causes Slade to go into fits of rage and heightened aggression. As a result, Slade has tremors in his hands, and when it is really bad, full body tremors akin to Roy on "Seeing Red" in Season two of
Arrow.
| How is this character different? | This character is Slade in his early days of being Deathstroke. However, Billy is dead, Addie's left him, and he's lost his eye. He has not picked up a sword yet. I also threw in my favorite part of the Mirakuru from Arrow where he's got this extreme rage and heightened aggression, which I need in order to do what I'm planning.
| What is your goal with this character? | My goal with this character is simple. I want to play Deathstroke. I know he has those mental enhancements, but he CAN be defeated. Right now, I'm having Slade build back his life from the ruins of what's left, using the grief of losing Billy to motivate him into hunting down and killing the Jackal but not before gaining some new skills.

A crumbling building in Germany, C4 wired to the support beams. A timer is on the main charge. Three minutes. Slade Wilson looks up at the ceiling, pondering whether or not he should live. At his feet lies the body of his best friend, Billy Wintergreen, a hole through his head.
"Billy." he whispers.
It is a note of guilt that fills his deep voice.
Two minutes.
Adeline. The love of his life. She's left him, now, when he is at his utter, soul-crushing low, furious for lying to him. And the worst part in all this is, is she's right to. He lied to her about being a mercenary, about being Deathstroke, when so soon, they will have a son together.
Together,, he thinks bitterly He has no together to look forward to, no son to teach and parent. All he has now is the ruins of a life, held together by rage.
One minute, thirty seconds.
The helmet. It sits there in his hands, staring up at him through its one eyepiece. His body is quivering with rage and sorrow, but he cannot bring himself to throw the helmet away. In all of this mess, becoming Deathstroke was the one thing he didn't regret. He knew he should, but he didn't. Being Deathstroke, he'd felt alive again, for the first time since that village.
One minute
The Jackal. His teeth grit in rage, threatening to crack and break out of his mouth. HE was the one responsible for this, for bringing Slade so low. But he was a mercenary, a hired gun. There was no possible way the Jackal could have known those things about him.
Someone hired him.
The realization hit him with a freight train-like force. Someone had hired him, and that meant someone knew who he was. Slade lifted off of his knees, placing on the helmet. Someone had wanted his life to hit this crushing low, to know true despair. Slade was going to find out whom, and make his life a living hell before killing him. But first, he needed to rebuild himself in order to do so. His special forces training had failed him when it was most needed, and if he was going to have his revenge, he needed more skills.
Billy came to the forefront of his attention again. He had to honor his friend somehow. A sword, a Ninjato peeked out from his back. Slade took it, and stood up.
Thirty seconds
Slade bolted towards the door, finding it locked from the outside. As if that would hold him. A quick thrust of his booted heel and the door burst wide. Slade ran like the devil himself was pursuing him, and perhaps the devil was. He sprinted down the German streets, crushing the gravel beneath his boot. A deafening roar, a burst of wild flame, and Slade looked behind him. The building was now rubble, Billy now nothing more than ash.
Slade's head dropped in grief, his hand quivering with rage.
Soon, my friend. he thought.
Soon I'll take revenge. For both of our sakes
