Corporal Lance said the tiny town of Zarinsk in the not so tiny Russia

Zarinsk (originally Zarinskaya) was a train station established in 1952. It became an urban-type settlement in 1958, and wasn't a town until 1979.

Corporal Lance said Kazakhstan

By the same token, Kazakhstan was just another part of Russia at that time, and in fact when it had it's first brief moment of independence in 1917, it was referred to as the Alash Autonomy.

Jorick doesn't have very many specific details for me to look into, and Lukas Kelly got through by the skin of his teeth in terms of California.

This was very much on purpose, because I didn't want to do a lot of research on the period to make sure it was accurate. The only little bit of research I did was to make sure that France was cool with women attending universities back then, which they were. :D

Thank you for noticing the blunders I have made in my character's history section. And with that note, I'm done.

I can admit to being wrong (me fat-fingering a decimal's place with the Boer War was kind of important, as is Kazakhstan to a degree. Zarinsk was more or less nitpicking as I could have claimed a fictional town instead), but if I wanted to research pre-Great War international history in my free time I'd take it as a college elective. Are you right? Yes, you are. Did it need correcting? Debatable. Was it all that important? Not in the slightest. Could you have pointed something like that out to me a little more tactfully via PM? Apparently not, so I can already tell that I'm not going to enjoy this ride. I'm not overly fond of another individual that's here either (or his friend by proxy. Unfair, I know, but still) and was borderline on staying or leaving once they showed up, but now it's become clear.

So goodbye. If I wished everyone good luck and to have fun with their RP it would sound sarcastic, so I'll just not leave any insults or arguments behind instead.

Hey Jorick. Want to argue IC like we did in the Spam forum? lol.I'm the Occultist, you're a Warlock! Two arguing magicians.

Nah, that "arguing" amounted to me bashing my head against a dense wall for far too much time before giving it up as futile. My character does not possess my stubborn dislike for nonsense, so that won't be happening IC.

Also there's not much magic going on with player characters to start with, no idea why you'd call them magicians. Knowing about supernatural stuff =/= magician, having possibly evil voices in your head =/= magician.

Age and appearance currently in construction. ;]

Name: Deagon "Digger" Jack.
Age: Your character's age.
Sex: Male.
Appearance: Your character's appearance. A picture or description will do nicely. (Or a hybrid of both if you prefer.)
History:
Positive: Former Soldier.
Negative: Coward's Flight.

Born to an Irish mother and French father, Deaglan was raised by London. With his two brothers and sister, he wrecked unbridled havoc upon its poor populace, bored with the typical life of the poor. Still, he somehow managed to push his way through a couple years of gradeschool, learning how to read and write.

At the age of seventeen, he was sent off to fight in the First Boer's War, deployed alongside his older brother.

In one of the skirmishes, the devastation was so dire that Digger fled, chased by his brother to save him from treason. However, before he could make it very far, an explosion tore the ground behind him, killing his brother and seriously injuring Digger through shrapnel.

He was eventually recovered and sent back home with a morphine prescription. As soon as he realized he was becoming dependant, he cut himself off from the addiction.

Through his younger brother, a priest in a small town outside London, he secured a position as a sexton and gravedigger. He worked here for near a decade, when he caught a snippet of rumour on a well-paid position in need of someone who knows their way around a shovel. Knowing he wasn't worth much else, he took the offer.

Technical Information

Career Path: Sexton.
Specializations:
Repeated Bites: One can adapt to everything, given enough exposure. And Digger's had his fair share of exposure to Death.
Apathy: There is a limit to one's sanity that, onced breeched, can never be restored. Unfortunately, this was not the case of Digger; his limit, like bone, regrew thicker once broken. That isn't to say that it didn't heal a little crooked, however.

Inventory: Your character’s inventory. You may add as many miscellaneous items as you wish, within reason. There are some things added here already: You get to keep these unless they’re replaced by a different item based on your career path.

Signature: Holmishire, and I'll bury meself as easily as the scent of yonder fishmen, were smelling I capable.

Character Name: Dr. Charles Darrow, Ph.D
Age: 35
Sex: Male

Appearance:
Charles is a slender sort of man, of relatively moderate height standing roughly 5'10 even with shoes on. He weighs close to 140 pounds, and isn't necessarily home to very much fat nor muscle. Simply put, he is skinny, exceptionally so. His eyes glow a dark aura of a verdant tint, like a forest at dusk. His dark brown hair is often loosely scattered in every which direction, sometimes even cowlicks are visible, and a greasy overtone shadows over it. His stubby mug is a bit hairier than that of a five o' clock shadow, grizzly, one might say. Gold rimmed, circular glasses further accent his deep set and baggy eyes and additionally an odd scar running down his right cheek, seemingly having permanently taken off a good chunk of his skin. As far as clothes go, he is often seen wearing loose fitting black or white collared, buttoned up dress shirts with loosely tied ties, and wrinkled up black dress pants with rather tight fit loafers that are a pain to slip on. His attire is often wrinkled and sometimes stained in alcohol, and he keeps a brown leather jacket hoisted over his shoulder for occasional purposes. When on official reporting business, he'll accompany with a homburg hat, with a stack of index cards and a pencil stuck through the hatband.

Name: Lillian Morette
Age: 34
Sex: Female
Appearance:
Standing at 5'4" with a fairly average build, and being neither incredibly attractive nor unattractive, Lillian is the pinnacle of average. If it wasn't for her clothing and assortment of weapons she wouldn't usually garner a second look.

History Types:
Frontierswoman: Lillian was raised in the frontiers of western America. Her father a hunter that specialized in big game like bears or cougars.. As such she learned to track, hunt, and kill some of the most deadly creatures in America.
Coward's Flight: There was a time that settling down and maybe even raising a family looked like a possibility for Lillian. She had met a colleague a wonderful man she got along with, and they had just started building a life together. However, they had chosen a dangerous lifestyle, and sometimes the danger follows you home. He sacrificed himself so she could escape, they might have both survived if she had fought.

Biography: Lillian was raised as an only child in a small cabin in the Rockies. There weren't other kids to socialize with or really any other people aside from the times she went into town with her parents. As such she dedicated almost all of her time to learning her father's trade, much to his disdain, her parents tried many times to stop her, but she always managed to sneak out and follow him. Eventually her parents gave up trying to stop her, her father began willingly taking her on hunting trips with her. He taught her what tracks belonged to which animals, to watch for things like bent grass or broken sticks on the ground, and eventually how to shoot a gun. It wasn't long before she had actually become useful to him during his trips, the extra set of eyes always helped, and she learned how to be quiet and unnoticeable quickly.

Eventually she got her own gun, and even a few kills under her belt, and as such decided to go out hunting on her own. Unfortunately bears and mountain lions weren't the most dangerous things in the woods that day. She didn't get home until that evening, dragging back the small deer carcass that had been the sum of her accomplishments that day. Unfortunately when she did it was too late, the cabin was a bloodbath, viscera coated the walls, and what was left of her mother and father was not even distinguishable. It took her hours before she finally composed herself to investigate what had happened. Whatever had killed them wasn't a creature she had ever seen or heard of, there wasn't even enough left to bury.. There was however a trail of blood leading away from the cabin, so after setting a couple empty gravemarkers, and packing the necessities she might need, she set off to follow the trail. It was another couple hours before she found it, it was dead, succumbed to it's wounds most likely, but that wasn't the important part, what was important was that it wasn't definable as any creature she had ever seen before. It was larger than any man, with fur as black as tar, and claws as sharp as eagle talons. It was too big to relocate, but not all of it. She chopped off one of the beasts paws and set off to discover what it was, and begin her new life on her own.

It took years before she found someone with answers about the paw, but as they would have her believe, it belonged to a werewolf, or something similar. The man who told her was a hunter, much like her own father only it turned out he hunted the kinds of things that go bump in the night, the kind of things that killed her parents. Wanting to exact some sort of vengeance, she pleaded with him to teach her until he eventually gave in. There were times it was similar to hunting bear or other animals, and times it was nothing like it at all, but overall she excelled at picking up on it. She knew what weapon to use in certain situations, what herbs could repel certain monsters, just about everything there was to know in such a trade. As such, after awhile she set out on her own. Ready to kill every single abomination she set her eyes upon.

Career Path: Hunter
Specializations:
- Companion: Lillian has a crow that accompanies her named simply "Black" it was formerly her partner's, and now assists her in any way it can.
- Silver Lining: Crossbow
