Since the beginning of time man has battled animals for dominance.

Humans eat them, enslave them, and take their homes.

A few animals have kindness shown to them. But not many...

A school field trip to a wildlife sanctuary changes the life of 10 teens forever when a deranged scientist locks them up. Hidden in a bunker under the ground, he experiments on his captives. Each is injected with drugs that alter their chemical makeup. Each is given the ability to turn into a different animal at will. 

"You will all be my ambassadors for a new age, one that will pull humans from their bloody throne" 

The scientist is clearly mad, despite his love for the creatures that roam the earth. He mistreats his captives, and keeps them locked in separate rooms while he experiments their new physical limits.

One day, the locks on all the cells open. Lying in the hallway is the scientist, lifeless on the floor. There are no signs of a struggle.

The captives have been held for six months, with no hope of rescue. How will they react?

Do they agree with the scientist? Or do they just want their old lives back? And who can they now trust?

History: Tris is a girl who came from an abusive home, not sexual or physical abuse just mental other than a time she got punched when her dad was drunk at the age of 5. Tris' mother, brother, and father along with people at schools mentally abused her and treated her like crap. This has caused her to be self-conscious and hates people telling her anything about her or accusing her of being something. People have tried to call her beautiful and amazing before but she never believes it. She feels like she is nothing but trash that people can throw around. She even hates the feeling of being touched because she had a boyfriend at the age of 15 who treated her well until things got heated while they were kissing and tried to force himself on her. He broke it off with her and spread rumors that she was a slut and trashy so she believed it and that only made her mentality worse.

She is unbelieving of any compliments given to her because of her self-consciousness

She is also very self-conscious of the fact she has one blue eye and one brown eye because of a gene in her body.(This character is based off of me except for the mental abuse unless you count bullying as a mental abuse and the two eye colors)

Jaden comes from a dysfunctional family that seems to never stay out of trouble. His dad is the current governor of the city and has been cheating on his wife, Jaden' mom, for years with prostitutes. She knows about them, but decides to stay quiet to keep up appearances of being a perfect family. Meanwhile behind closed doors, his mom is very passive aggressive to her husband, referring to the women he sleeps with as numbers. Even though they always threaten to leave each other, they never do. Because of their parents constant bickering, and his father in office, they never have time for Jaden or his younger sister who is bipolar and a schizophrenic if she doesn't take her medication. With the lack of family dynamic, Jaden is somewhat of a loner and doesn't rely on the help or the companionship of other people. He has little friends at school and just goes there to get things done and to leave, hoping to move away from his hellish family. He's often pressured to be the perfect son and threatened not to make the family look bad or he wouldn't receive his trust fund. Not to mention he's closeted about his sexuality due to his father's conservative Republican views, even going as far as to try to get same sex marriage banned. His life soon changed when a field trip had gone wrong and he found himself locked up with a crazy mad scientist. The rest is history.

Jaden was a loner who preferred to keep to himself. He was very anti-social and had a very cold demeanor about him. He was very sarcastic and blunt when he spoke to people which caused others to stay away from him. This attitude was merely a facade to hide his buried emotions of having a bad family and the pressure to make himself look perfect. He lived his true life as a lie, knowing what he truly desired. But since he couldn't have it, he chose to be alone.

New Personality:
Jaden has learned to not take things for granted. He misses having a life and wants to make something of it instead of living in fear of what his parents say. He wants to be free. Having horse DNA, he's become more loyal and dependent. Even though his acquired DNA requires him to flee from danger, he fights it everyday, wanting to be more brave and to take danger head on. Jaden has still kept his sarcastic attitude and has learned to be quick witted, having a crude but hilarious sense of humor. You have to have something being locked up for months.
