February 4, 1861 seven southern states make a decision that will cost hundred of thousands American lives. These southern states chose to leave the Union to create The Confederate states of America. On April 12 before morning light Confederate troops under command of P.G.T. Beauregard fired a cannon shot from Fort Johnson to Union Fort Sumter. This shot subsequently led to a bombardment from the Confederates upon Fort Sumter. Union troops stationed in Fort Sumter were miserably out numbered and out gunned so in the afternoon of April 14 Union troops under Robert Anderson surrendered to the Confederates after a two day bombardment. Astonishingly not single man, Union or Confederate were killed during the bombardment of Fort Sumter. And from that moment on the war was on.

I forgot to link the interest check I did in general interest checks that gave a bit more info. So basically all you need to know is that your character does not have to be historical (It can be). Also history does not matter the historical battles dont have to happen and the Confederates could win. Another thing of note is that you are not controlling mindless drones your troops wont listen to you if you ask them to go run in front of a Union line naked. Also Dakco will be co-GM.

Also please dont make an IC post until everyone is ready that way I can work somethings out.

And to all the people asking if they can join just make a CS and sure.

    Name: Jackson Ortega
    Union or Confederate: Union
    Army's Name: Green Wall army
Character Backstory: I am a Hispanic, but to confederates it didn't matter it was only because I stayed out of sight that I got to the north. I may not be black but to confederates if I wasn't white it didn't matter. I lived on the run making sure to avoid the slavers, I never stayed in one place for to long and I had to use the underground railroad to get to the north. once I got to the north I first worked in a factory until I heard about the war that I joined with out hesitation I had an eye for strategy always thinking of more then one way to win a fight that didn't require brute strength. When I went through training I must have impressed the generals cause I was given command of my own platoon then an army.
    Age:23
    Experiences in military: military strategist
Appearance: tall at 6ft tall and jade green eyes with black hair that parts over the sides covering part of my forehead. with dark brown skin (hence why he was begged as a slave) with a skinny muscular physique

We are, as he said. Its just that Mr.Lee wont be commanding the whole of the confederacy, just his Virginia army.

A quick error I noticed, the Confederates did have a navy but it was to small to really do anything. it was a few ships then some Blockade runner things so they could get past Union Blockades for supplies.

    Name:Gabriel Jackson
    Union or Confederate:Confederate
    Army's Name:Gabriel's Boys
Character Backstory: Born in New York Gabriel spent much of his childhood years reading books about wars and armies, and was quick to grasp military strategy. He moved to settle Texas with his family. He was quick to join the Texas War for Independence, having a sense of honor and loyalty to Texas. He served under Sam Houston and participated in the final battle of the Texan Independence war. He spent the next 10 years advocating Texas join the Union due to the ties they had with the them. He ended up serving as a officer in the Mexican-American War, after which he studied at Westpoint. When the secession of all the Confederate States occured he joined with them, while not supporting slavery neither was he against it, and realized that the South and North were to different to be together.
    Age:43
Experiences in military: Served as a soldier in the Texas Independence War and a officer in the Mexican American War. Well versed in military strategy.
Appearance: Short brown hair, green eyes, 6ft tall. Angled cheeks, usually wears a typical Confederate General outfit.

Well welcome on board General Jackson. We need all the veterans we can muster if we want to stand a shadow of a chance against the blue coats

Also, the presidents should both be players, as grand strategy and allocation of material was their call.

Im not to keen on this idea. This RP does not have to be a representation of real life so I would like to just keep it to the military.

I would prefer it not to be but for instance if you wanted to divide your army you could send a NPC subordinate to lead a force but you would still RP their actions.

Since MrMelon divvying up supplies and men he can just act as the Presidents. As for Grand Strategy if you studied The Civil War you know what the goals of the south and the North were,
