I want to see you Finish your Denmark sheet for PoW first.

Exactly my thinking. I'm going to give it a while and see how fast-paced PoW turns out before I considering joining another RP.

“I wish none but those who desire to be actively engaged. Come on boys, if you want a heap of fun and to kill some Yankees.”
-- Nathan Bedford Forrest
June, 1861

Name: Nathan Bedford Forrest

Union or Confederate: Confederate

Army's Name: 3rd Tennessee Cavalry

Character Backstory: Nathan Bedford Forrest was born to a very poor family in Tennessee in 1821. Forrest's father died when he was 17 and Forrest became the man in the house. He went into business in Tennessee as a planter that soon became a rapid success and led to him owning several plantations and farms. That business spun out to the even more lucrative business of slave trading. By the time the War Between the States Forrest was a self-made millionaire. When the war broke out, Forrest enlisted as a cavalry captain but resigned and used his own personal fortune to raise his own army. He was given a commission as a colonel and briefly commanded the 7th Tennessee Cavalry as an officer in the war's western front. Forrest was promoted to brigadier general and the 7th cavalry was absorbed into a bigger army, the 3rd Tennessee.

Age: 40

Experiences in military: Forrest was never in the military prior to the Civil War, but he was a prodigy when it came to combat tactics. His tactics involving cavalry and mounted infantry mirrored many of the same tactics used by motorized infantry in the Second World War eighty years later. Forrest was also a very gifted and natural horseman and swordsman.

Confederate Weaknesses
Very insignificant naval force.

Smaller numbers.

u wot.

You're forgetting the fact the south had a shit-tier industrial-complex. The North has all the factories to make all the guns and all the ships to use to block off the south, who had to rely on the outside - particularly Britain - to arm itself.

Really, the only legit strength the south had during the Civil War was its laundry list of excellent generals. Their being there was the only reason the war dragged for as long as it did when it could have been put down in a matter of months. The north had all the shit-tier generals, up until Grant happened and he had nothing to loose and was too drunk to care; where the others tried to outsmart the south and lost, he out bruted the south and won.

But that's all the south had, a laundry list of good generals. But they had a shopping list of issues against them. But it goes without saying the southern economy wasn't as strong as the northern economy with its factories and it being fed by California gold. Hell, even the Southern politics was disorganized and they spent a lot of time simply arguing about their flag.

We're aware of the long list of differences between the South and the North. Tyvm. Although we want this to be even on both sides despite how easily one sided it was in history. If enough people wish it, we will make the rp the same way but for now we've decided to make it on even odds so that the south even has a chance of winning this war.

The thing is though, you probably wouldn't need to go that far too given that there was a rather large anti-war movement in the north.

And the race riots.

What are the chances that I could join as the a Lakota chief? I think adding the Sioux Confederation into the mix in a more meaningful way could turn this version of the war into something altogether new.
