Aiswendil chuckled and said, "Well, if it isn't the other daughter of Legolas. I was wondering when you'd come out from your hiding place there."

Silica glanced at Aiswendil, her cheeks going pink a little bit. Her eyes found her sister, yet again.

Kalina ignored the wizard, her eyes flashing over to Silica. "Where in Middle Earth have you been? I return home to find an empty house and missing family. Do you know how worried I was? Where is father, I need to speak with him." She continued to keep her bow trained on the stranger.

Silica swallowed. "I...I don't know where father is," she said, starting to tear up again. "Or Herin, for that matter..." she added.

When Vevila arrived at the trading post, she smelled the familiar scent of new leather and varying potions, freshly brewed. She dismounted her horse, tying it to a nearby post. Walking inside, she shouted, "Delivery from Merriwether an' Comp'ny!" "Aye Aye, let me help ye unload." said a familiar voice. "Well if it isn't old Sam. How goes it here in Rivendell?" The older hobbit twisted his mustache and smiled, his eyes creasing with crow's feet. The mustache always looked out of place under his smooth cheeks. "Oh fine, fine. Business has been booming ever since I came out here for business. "He chuckled dryly. "How's old Frodo?" He got a serious, worried gleam in his eye as he continued to twirl his mustache. "E-em..." Vevila stuttered, "He's well...what seems to be th' matter? 'ave I got somethin' on my face?" The old hobbit grabbed a box of merchandise and smiled weakly.

"I received...mmf!...A message the other day...Oh the god's have been mean to my poor body..." He sat the box down and sat on it, panting. He took a handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped the sweat from his brow. "Phew! The message was from a dear friend o' mine...He says a great evil is approachin'." Vevila froze, unable to digest this information. "Evil?! What kinda evil?!" "Shhh shh, child, not so loud. This is precious information." Vevila didn't know what to think. Sam gestured for Vevila to walk closer to him. He put his hand on her shoulders and leaned in, close to her ear. "The kind that could end Middle Earth. The kind that only those descendin' from the Fellowship of the Ring could stop." Vevila looked into the eyes of the old hobbit. "ME?!" "SHHH!" She whispered. "Me...?!"
"Yes, you. You must find the others; Legolas' two daughters would be valuable allies for you... their names are Silica and--" "Kalina" Vevila said in awe. "Yes...have you met her? Is she here?" Vevila looked lost. "Yes, but, I dunno where..."

"You'll find her child. Oh, there's also a man named Aiwindell who would be valuable to you. His father was Gandalf. Then there's Aragorn's daughter, Lyra, and..." He stopped, and took out a notepad and wrote all the names down. "There you are. Start by finding Kalina. I'll take care of the merchandise." Vevila hugged Sam. "Oh, thank you Uncle Sam. I'll do my best." She received a wink from the old hobbit. "Good luck to ye."

Vevila left Sam to the merchandise, and began her search for Kalina.

Kalina's eyes softened as she listened to her sister speak, fighting her own swell of emotions as her hand waivered. "And this guy?" She motioned toward the wizard with less aggression than she hard started out with. It was possible that she assumed the worse but in her defense it was her family that she was overreacting about. Slowly she relaxed her arms, allowing the bow to point toward the ground instead of at the boy's head.

Silica watched as her sister lowered her bow, and relaxed. She stepped forward, nearly shielding Aiswendil. "Where were you?" she asked softly, her eyes tearing up again, tears rolling down her cheeks. "I was so scared..." she continued, her voice breaking. "And this is Aiswendil. He's my friend." she added. She then proceeded to go quiet, just sadly staring at her sister.

Pallando gripped the eagle tighter, straining to catch a glimpse of Rivendell. Although Elrond had departed, it was still a place of merrymaking and peace, if less so than it had been.
"There!" he shouted above the wind. The bird dived towards the valley, folding his wings. Within seconds, they were circling the pinnacle of the main hall. The whole place gleamed in the sunlight, and rainbows danced unceasingly on the water below. There was a fresh, clean fragrance in the air.

Gesturing towards the gates (for it was the only place large enough for the eagle to land safely), he simultaneously raised his staff into the air. A flash of blue light burst from its tip, as a greeting to the group of people he could see on the ground. He could feel the aura of at least one of those in the group - Maiar. This must be the offspring of his fellow Istari, Gandalf. Although Pallando knew of him, they had never met in person.

The eagle landed, bowing low to allow the wizard to slip off. He did so, and the bird beat its wings once and soared into the air. Never had Manwe displayed such skill than in the creation of those noble beasts.

He turned to the group. "Greetings, friends. I am Romestamo, who one of you may know as Pallando. I bring tidings from the East."

Kalina's heart melted at the sight of her sister's sadness, a sigh erupting from her chest as she removed the arrow from her bow and slung it around her body. "Oh Silica." She stepped lightly and surely to her sister's side and pulled her into a tight embrace. "I was returning home from my hunting trip in the north." Breathing in the familiar scent of home, Kalina's eyes snapped open. "The blood, it's yours?" She pulled away, looking alarmed, searching Silica's body for the wound. "How did you hurt yourself?" Again her eyes snapped suspiciously up toward the wizard, who probably wasn't all that surprised by her reactions. She was distracted from her question by a flash of light and a giant eagle that dropped a passenger off before departing. Kalina looked at the newcomer with disapproving eyes. "Another wizard I see."

Silica hugged her sister back, her own eyes meeting the newcomer. "Hello, I'm Silica, daughter of Legolas," she said, her eyes still sad.
