I like what Jorick did for his GOT Doubt, the characters and roles were tied together, but nobody knew who was playing what. You could try to guess based on the story posts, but people frequently got it wrong.

They're talking about an added layer of secrecy, where each person creates a character sheet (ranging from super basic to actual RP level stuff) and then they're referred to as such in the story posts. Say I made a character named Fred, and his role was Stannis Baratheon. Story posts would say "Fred did so-and-so" and people would have to try to figure out what role Fred is, without any of the silly biases that go with the players. I believe in games like this lynching is done based on the character name, so everyone would be voting based on actual story clues rather than trying to eliminate people they dislike. Plus it adds an extra layer of shenaningans, which is always fun.

If I did allow and encourage Character Sheets, I would probably make them as basic as possible. And by that, I mean VERY BASIC. Such as Name, Appearance, Other. I wouldn't want the character sheet to completely overpower the role. Especially for this game as I feel it would be hard to write.Another idea that I am tinkering with is --well no. Nevermind. I just realized why i couldn't do that. Forget that. lol.
