the Lorinos cluster was home to a great Manufactorum, that, during the Imperium-Tau war, the Tau destroyed said Manufactorum, and so, after the War, the Imperium basically just abandoned it... Then came the influx of invaders, Ork rabbles, Chaos cults, Tyranids. With supplies and able bodies dwindling, they had no choice but to surrender control of the system to the Tau... That's when the Imperium got a message... From a long lost Techmarine, still alive, buried beneath the rubble of the Manufactorum. A Distress signal, when prompted for a Sit-rep, the Marine reported only superficial damage to the Titan... Normally this would call for Exterminatus, but the Adeptus Mechanicus has managed to overturn the Inquisitions orders, there is no way the Machine God would allow a sacred Titan to be destroyed when there was a chance to save it. They have ordered the retrieval of the Titan, undamaged, by any means necessary. The good thing is that the Tau still do not know about the Warlord... But if they discover it, then that could lead to the filthy Xeno's getting their hands on it and coercing the machine spirit to heresy. THE TAU CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO ACQUIRE THE TITAN!!!

The Deathwatch, led by Inquisition Techpriest Viqtor Remly, are on their way in a single ship, claiming that they are responding to a distress call from the planet, as they are currently under attack from Chaos forces, the local Gue'Vesa and Fire Warriors are holding their own. In the interests of not restarting the Damocles Crusade, the Empire has allowed this. It is, after all, a backwater planet with just a pile of rubble that was a Manufactorum, and rather close to the boarder. All of their forces are currently dealing with other problems.

CS:

Name: Head Chaplain Gunther Arthus

Age: 10 000 + years old

Faction: Space Marine - Deathwatch Chapter - Venerated Contemptor Pattern Dreadnought

Appearance:

Wargear:
Left Arm: Multi-Melta Cannon / Kheres Pattern Assault Cannon / Twin-Linked Heavy Bolter
Right Arm: Dreadnought CCW / Kheres Patten Assault Cannon / Twin-Linked Heavy Flamer
Armour: Atomanic Power Generator with Ceramite Plating
Extras: Searchlight, Large Rosarius Crest that resembles the Deathwatch's Signet, As Opposed to the typical Helmet, Arthus's helmet is a Skull covering the entire helmet platform.

Bio:
This eternal death wraith has served the Imperium of Man even in his afterlife for countless of years. Arthus was a Captain in the Iron Hands Legion served under a Mars-Class Battlecruiser known as 'Cry of Fire' tasked to pursue and destroy a Corrupted band of Space Marines escaping into the maw of the Warp. His determination to purify the tainted evil of corruption brought him deep inside of the Warp where whispers of the Chaos Gods were stronger and far more terrifying. As a Captain, he wante dto lead by example to his band of Iron Hands. Even though they were trained to fight inside of the Warp and emerge unscathed of injuries or influence of the Chaos Gods, their whispers were maddening and brainwashing. Even the strong-willed Space Marines serving inside the Cry of Fire dived into insanity upon hearing the loud whispers of the Chaos Gods-- Falling under their influence within moments of exposure and immediately began to attack any personnel on sight. As Arthus's entire platoon fall and bleed into heresy one by one, he continued to sing songs of the Imperium of Man, praising loudly and valiantly of the Emperor of Man and its Primarchs. He spoke and sung with a piercing cry and became immune to the Chaos Gods' whispers. He fought with his all of his might-- Those who heard and believed in the songs of the Imperium followed and cried with Arthus. Even the Chaos God trembled to the inspiring shouts of Arthus and his handful of squadrons. He held out and defended his silent and internally crippled battlecruiser as new enemies of Man began to swarm in great numbers. He fought till the last of his breath and voice vanquished into blood for 100 years that felt like one exhaustive year. He was struck down by a Chaos Chaplain who was dedicated to Khorne who wanted to silence Arthus. He did so quickly and fiercely and Arthus was left in a pool of blood as the Chaotic Chaplain escaped the drifting cruiser. Years later, the drifting Space Hulk Cry of Fire was found by a legion of Iron Hands. A team was sent to retrieve any relic left behind by Gunther Arthus inside the ship. Their search had discovered the remains of Arthus, his life spark seemingly strong and overflowing from his dead body. The space hulk was left to drift, but the Iron Hands retrieved the remains of Arthus's body where his body was embedded into a Dreadnought. With his life sparks strong, once assembled-- the Dreadnought immediately sprung into life. With its monotone, machine-like voice; it cried in supposed musical notes, "The Emperor has saved me, yet again!"

The Honour Guard are your right-hand men, they are about as good as a squad of troops.

The Squad is standard size, depending on what squad of soldiers you want. E.G. If you want a Pathfinder squad, you have 9 extra guys in your squad.

Also, Allen, your bio says that your guy was a Grey Knight... That's a no-no on several levels.

1) the Grey Knights weren't formed until AFTER the Horus Heresy.
2) the Grey Knights are all Psykers, and Psykers can't be interned in Dreadnoughts (Except if you are a Blood Angel... But everyone calls Horse-Shit on that...)
3) Historically. The Chaplains main purpose was to put down Psykers in case they went nuts... As such, the Grey Knights don't use them... Chaplains have very little trust of Psykers.
4) Saying they all went nuts when they went into the Warp makes no sense as the Grey Knights are only taken in for training if they have proven their ability to resist the corrupting energies of the Warp 100%.

Essentially, just choose one of the Space Marine Legions

You accidentally left the "Grey Knights" part in at the bottom... There are a few canon issues... But fuck it, let's ignore those, congratulations, you're in. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a Dreadnought, and a Techpriest.

So? Your gal can kick some major ass. the Sisters are women in power armour who, i am pretty sure, have had their ovaries replaced with Chainswords... Seriously, they carry fucking Multi-melta's... Most Astartes have trouble doing that. Age is just a number, and when you are a warrior of the Imperium, the only number that counts is the number of dead heretics at your feet.

Name: Sergeant Marcus Anthony

Age: 34

Faction: Cadian Guard

Appearance:

Wargear: 2x Las Pistol , Power Maul, Carapace Armor, 2x Frag Grenades

Honor Guard/Squad: Vox Man Cerra Vatao Female (Las Rifle Vox), Trooper Malcom Tundrish Male (Las Rifle, Frag Grenade), Trooper Calistro Bulfom Male (Combat Shotgun), Trooper Jodee Allanson Female (Las Rifle, 2x Frag Grenade), Trooper Hermin Kadar (Flamer)

Bio: Marcus was born like any other Cadian, but his birth is not what matters. What he did with his life is what matters. Marcus like most other Cadians joined the military as soon as he was able. He spent much of his time training becoming a expert with his las rifle. Showing his aptitude he was promoted to corporal within three years of his enlistment. It was around this time his regiment was called to the Karthago Sector of the Ultima Segmentum.

The regiment moved on the Capital Planet known as Sidon Ultra, it had become corrupt with chaos cults breaking out all over the planet. Upon landing they found groups of Arbiters besieged in multiple pockets in the port city of Anduma. Within the first ten minutes after touch down, Marcus saw his Sergeant and three other squad mates killed by a rushing mob of cultists carrying crude weapons. In the process he and his squadmates were separated from the rest of the regiment. Marcus and the rest of his squad came across a group of Arbiters. Marcus instantly befriended one by the name of Vorkun. The information they gained from the Arbiters was that one of the cult Sorcerers was nearby. Together they fought through groups of cultists before finally reaching a large building that used to be a library. The group entered only to find corrupted PDF between themselves and the sorcerer. The battle hard fought and filled with las rifle blasts. It ended with half the Arbiters dead and only two of Marcus squad members alive, Cerra Vatao and Hermin Kadar. Vorkun lay in front of Marcus dying gripping his power maul and holding it towards Marcus. The sorcerer started towards them, and Marcus took the maul and rushed the fiend. Streaks of purple energy washed over Marcus, but still he continued as the energy scarred his body. He brought the maul down into the sorcerer's face causing his eyes to pop from their sockets, teeth to fly in strings of blood and tissues, and finally chunks of skull and brain matter to splatter across the room.

Marcus, his two remaining squad members, as well as the surviving arbiters rejoined his company. They gave him his former Sgt's pistol as well as a full promotion to sergeant and new squad members. The Arbiters let Marcus keep the maul saying he was worth of such a thing. He stayed for the duration of the cleansing the taint which lasted a total of two years. At the end when he was issued a new pistol he kept the old one as well figuring two was better than one.

Now at the behest of the inquisition his company and two others were called away to aid in a mission to recover a titan on a Tau controlled planet. Though the guardsmen of these companies were told it was a investigation into a distress signal. No matter what though Marcus and his squad stand ready to do their duty to the Emperor.

Approved...

Also, i had another Idea, one for an Alternate Timeline Warhammer 40k RP... Although, i warn you, it's not an action RP, but instead, is a Political RP with minimal amounts of violence in it:

In this universe, the Horus Heresy never happened... When the Eye of Terror was created, it was not as large, it didn't cripple the Eldar Empire as badly as it did in the standard universe, the Eye took only 30% of their entire population, rather than the 90% in the standard timeline. And Erebus' plans to make Horus fall to chaos failed and Horus killed him for it. Things seemed to progress as one might expect, the stalemate seems to continue, as the Eldar managed to hold back the Imperiums advances. The Orks and Necrons are just as big a problem as ever, but Chaos' influence has dwindled substantially, There are Chaos Space Marines, just nothing close to the amount there are in the Standard Timelines, in this timeline, each Chaos Space Marine tend to lead their own Warband of Cultists and Bloodletters. They are not the problem they used to be.

It has been 9,000 years... The Primarchs have grown, evolved from the "Petulent children with unlimited power" into "Conniving adults with unlimited power." The Emperor is in recluse as he has aged, The Golden Throne IS being used. Although, rather than to keep the last shred of his existance in this world, it's primary purpose is to keep the Emperor's strength up as it begins to wain in his old age. the only people to see him are the Primarchs and the High Lords of Terra.

This will begin with Political unrest in the Imperium, there are talks of changing their policy on Aliens. Sanguinius, backed by Horus, is currently fighting the High Lords of Terra, suggesting that they open peace talks with the Eldar, especially now that several of the Legions have run into trouble with the Necrons. Since intelligence suggests that the Eldar know a fair bit about the Necrons, and that they despise this enemy with a passion, Sanguinus believes that they should call a cease-fire, or even an alliance with the Eldar, to deal with the Necron threat. Roboute is trying to brush this under the rug, claiming that the Ultramarines are more than a match for the Necrons without Xeno interference.

At the same time, the Tau have began to emerge from their sector of space, and, whereas Curze and his Night Lords are calling for a crusade to eradicate these zealots before they can become a true threat (One of his predictions of the future, seeing millions of dead Space Marines, caused by a war with the Tau.) Sanguinius see's them as a means to get in touch with the Eldar, use the Tau as a third party that could act as mediators.

Meanwhile, on frontier space, contact with several of their hive-worlds has been lost... In the near-future, an alliance with the Eldar might be key in the survival of every living thing in this galaxy...

Essentially, this RP will all be about the political side of the endless wars. Actual fighting in this will be kept to a minimum. With any luck, words will be the weapons of choice for most of the battles. The Players will play the different Primarchs, each one out for their own particular agenda. Sanguinius and Horus are out to bring the Galaxy together to repel the biggest threats, arranging secret meetings with these Xeno's and Roboute is out to prove himself, undeniably, the greatest strategic figure in the Galaxy and he sees defeating the Necrons as the perfect way to do this. Curze just out to fuck shit up as he always has.

I had other idea's for the other legions, such as Lion El'Jonson and Leman Russ are talking of perhaps merging their two legions into one great legion that will be the most powerful of all of the legions, one that can knock Roboute off his high-horse. Ferrus Manus is secretly involved with the Machine Cult, trying to find a way for them to become legally recognized. (The Emperor despised organized religion, as such, worshipping any Deity is forbidden.) And one of the Primarchs are out to perhaps place themselves at the head of the Imperium, usurping the Emperor in a perfectly legal way... Probably Fulgrim or Magnus...

We could throw in a few fun references... Maybe have a throw away line about Captain Thule of the Thousand Sons success in his latest campaign on Kronus, alongside Captain Eliphas of the Word Barers.

I would really love to hear your thoughts on this.
